We have finally made it back to our home in Sweden from Canada. It’s been a long journey for us as a family but it feels great to be back and grounded. Although life can be overwhelming at times we carry on day by day as we are adjusting to life on the countryside.

I get what you're saying Maya. As a big city girl from Toronto I crave the peace that the countryside brings. Especially at this time. You are glowing!
I completely understand the concern of maybe getting bored one day because you're living countryside. I experienced this when I moved to a tiny island for 7 years. The key is to travel once or twice a year to a different country. Even just within Europe at first to save $. This will help you be able to stay put in one place longer and you can travel with the baby!

I get what Max is saying about the challenge in not wanting to stay put. It's not a matter of age per se, I see older retired folks spending half time in Canada and the winter months somewhere warm. When those times come when you want to leave perhaps book a holiday somewhere, explore other cities. People don't need to feel trapped.
Appreciated the honesty of saying that you may feel bored at some point because I've noticed, specifically here in Sweden, people idealize "the countryside" then complain after they've moved. Having a realistic idea of how it may suck at times will help you deal with it better! Anyway good video and stay away from the ticks!
As you get older and have children you won;t be bored, there will always be something for you to do. 50 yrs old in a party will be boring, LOL

Loved loved loved this! It's no putting on for the camera - just real, authentic, every day life. I'm planning to do this with my partner in South Africa, and looking for a little home to renovate. This channel gives me all the feels and you two remind me so much of the journey I'm on moving abroad for love, respite, and the simple life as well. Cheers!
You 2 look so happy finally home! It's a lot of work when you own a home and land in the country. Get some plants that deter the bugs, sage and rosemary or thyme wrapped in aluminuim foil and thrown on BBQ, to burn will make bugs go away

DIY home improvement can be overwhelming and a couple helping hands can help lessen the burden ^^. Oh, and we are both vaccinated :) Most of us used to camping outside a lot in the forest here or sometimes close to the river. So yeah gotta be prepared. Oh and be careful with Ixodes ricinus ticks, those are the type that can give you Lyme disease. They are the type that you would find in the European forest.

You can put up hooks or velcro and hang shade cloth across the top, from one side to the other to limit or in panels to keep the hot sun from burning up the plants in the green house. Put a small fan (they even have battery ones ) and have in the green house to circulate the air and let the hot air out.

Iam a city girl living at the country side with 2 children. Honestly I get really bored as there is not so much to do here. Traveling is my therapy but due to covid i feel like iam in a tunnel despite being summer

OMGMESS I just moved in to a new home along a small lake with my boyfriend and I could not get over how many bug bits I have gotten since we moved almost a month now!!!!! It has been amazing don't get me wrong but I totally understand the bug issue for sure!!! The first couple of weeks was the worst!!!
