Lyrics:
Step off the train all alone at dawn
Back into the hole where I was born
The sun in the sky never raised an eye to me
The blood on the tracks, and they must be mine
The fool on the hill, and I feel fine
Don't look back 'cause you know what you might see
Look into the wall of my mind's eye
I think I know, but I don't know why
The questions are the answers you might need
Coming in a mess, going out in style
I ain't good-looking, but I'm someone's child
No one can give me the air that's mine to breathe
I met my maker
I made him cry
And on my shoulder he asked me why
His people won't fly through the storm
I said, "Listen up man, they don't even know you're born”
All my people right here, right now
D'you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah
All my people right here, right now
D'you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah
All my people right here, right now
D'you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
I don't really care for what you believe
So open up your fist or you won't receive
The thoughts and the words of every man you'll need
Get up off the floor and believe in life
No one's ever gonna ever ask you twice
Get on the bus and bring it on home to me
I met my maker
I made him cry
And on my shoulder he asked me why
His people won't fly through the storm
I said, "Listen up man, they don't even know you're born”
All my people right here, right now
They know what I mean yeah, yeah
All my people right here, right now
They know what I mean yeah, yeah

When i clicked on this video this classic song i was expecting to at least see 20 million views or something, Liam really has a commanding presence, the swagger the arrogance, the truthfulness there simply isn't a false bone in his body..
Exactly what I thought. Epic song. I remember the hype around the song and album.
Well, in regards to the view count, this video was only uploaded a year ago.
Noel has even more swagger I think, getting out of the chopper ..
A masterpiece from a legendary band. 2024. Still here...
Remember Queuing up outside HMV to get the album!! Those were the days kids today have no idea ha! ❤️🇬🇧
8 hours in a que for a limited edition 'digi pack'? Oh yeah. I can't Imagine my 17 year old daughter queuing to get new music!
I remember a Brash's store in Sydney Australia selling 2000 copies of Be Here Now on the first day of release. The hype for it was insane then not long after it was fashionable to hate Oasis and the downfall of music started with the likes of the Spice Girls etc. Has gone down hill ever since.
The best line-up : Liam, Noel, Bonehead, Guigsy and Alan.

Be Here Now one of my favourite albums. D'You Know What I Mean!!
Boom! Adele may take the fastest first week sales record, but she didn't do it like this! An overblown, arrogant and cocaine-fuelled MASTERPIECE! Plus all those 700,000+ copies sold required people to leave the house! Long live Be Here Now!
+dave790 Also adele has the marketing of todays social media at her advantage, it would actually be sad if she couldn't pull it off. Doesn't change the fact that this album is fucking legendary
+dave790 You got me at "cocaine-fuelled." Proud to be a 90s teenager
+Thurendeil for solo artists and pop groups maybe. I thought that in the social media age, rock bands are at a major disadvantage.
+dave790 Adele had more days to achieve this Be Here Now had 3 days to achieve its sales. Oasis was also a movement
well said my friend *so drunk at the moment but loving oasis*
Funny how Noel managed to create a top 3 best selling Oasis song using the exact same chords as wonderwall
Still biblical ✌️
In the mid 90s, 1997 (when this song came out), I was going through a phase of playing the "Scorched Earth" computer game on my old IBM 486 computer. One of the projectiles you could fire in that game was the smoke tracer. Everytime I watch this video clip, it reminds me of that game because of all the smoke grenades going off in this clip.
Great song. Video, too. Thanks Oasis.

Same here mate, and from that day onwards I became an Oasis life-long fan
What i liked about these guys is they always said what was on their minds. Wd hate this or we like that. They came from nothing... and sold millions of records because of their honesty.
I honestly think this version is better than the remaster, either way the song's brilliant, especially the chorus and the ending sound effects.
You're right. Remastered version is shortened. I really hate radio edits of songs. In the album "Be Here Now" songs are quite long and that video have almost full version of songs. Do you remember outraged Axl in 1988? Everything was about radio edit in "Sweet Child O'Mine" music video (they cut half of intro and one guitar solo). In music video must be ALWAYS album version of song (even if lasts over 10 minutes).
Couldn't agree more. I also prefer the sort of drowned out, wall of noise in the last chorus which they unfortunately polished up in the remaster
You reminds me users Shamar and Torch, which are signed and logged on certain polish Internet forum about penultimate decade of XXth Century (years 1980-1989). They criticized Michael Jackson's album "Dangerous", because is too long (over 77 minutes) and songs sounds like exteneded versions from '12 Maxi Singles. They considered these songs sounds right in single radio-edits. They have pirate cassette tapes with of that album with shortened songs by fade out. One of them regrets that doesn't choose "Keep the Faith" as 10th single from this album. They considered if that album were rejected songs which weren't singles (except "Keep the Faith"), that album could be improved.
Agreed
All the way man. This version rules. Remastered version left out most iconic line- "Coming in a mess going out in style".

For me, it's Oasis at their absolute peak: the swagger and scale of this album were probably too much for many a middle-class muso to stomach.
I was fed Hendrix, Stones, Beatles, Cream, Traffic and many more great bands during the '60s. But Oasis is perhaps the last of the greatest rock bands that graced the planet. It's just my opinion, no more and no less.

In actuality there were only two. The multitude comes from old school camera trickery.

liam: yes i fookin do want those copters mate
this is actually a really good album, great record!!! Oasis will Live Forever!
If any song epitomizes the arrogance and swagger of the 90s i believe this is it, ( honorable mention to bitter sweet symphony, song 2, step on and common people) but they ain't this
Have a 👍🏼 u absolutely correct bastard. Love all those songs. Need to know who is step on by thou.
This video could only be pulled off by a few bands and definitely maybe, not anyone current. The amount of swagger these guys had will never be seen again in music. Music in the 90s was a different beast, compared to today. it sucks but there will never be another oasis or Nirvana. Millenials with all their pointless attacks on censorship and whats appropriate to say and how to act have destroyed rockstars forever. Imagine MTV arranging for Kurt Cobain to have some H delivered before MTV unplugged cuz he was downsick?
You sir know your music
@@floridaman1371 happy Mondays sir
@@bretthughes8679 personally only think the who could be the only band to pull this off, but maybe thats because I believe this is the 90s 'my generation'
The Last Great Rock n Roll Band.
this song is like hidden jewel for Oasis
It's not _that_ hidden, though. It went to #1 in the United Kingdom and was a pretty big hit elsewhere in Europe as well as in Australia and Canada.
@@reillywalker195 oh I see I have listened to songs from Oasis for many years and found this song recently that's why I said it was hidden I didn't know it was hitting around western society Thanks for letting me know
Still their best and most underrated song
🤘😎
Nah not there best. That would be up in the sky or supersonic for me
Manchester city fan Tv- everything man city idk it changes almost everyday for me lol
Bruh Zombie same.
Good shout it's fuckin brilliant song ,had it played at my wedding
we live in Brazil my grandfather loved this song he chose the c.d in the store
You are so right about that mate it is all this Britain's got no talent shite these people would not know talented if it bit them on the arse
Why the hell did they make a remastered version when the original sounds so much better with the eco background but soulful clear vocals 🗣🤔
I personally dislike, its suckling out the vibe that made it 90s great 😎

The moment you first heard this song and you realised it was going to be another Oasis Top Ten.
Gar96 *Number 1
Erm, they could have released anything and had a hit at that point...hype had overtaken them completely.
@@lucasoheyze4597 This was when the bubble burst, this song was great but the album stank.
@@jamesperkins191 at the time the album was given a lot of hate. The album is amazing people just couldn't handle a bit of change.
gave me goosebumps
Ngl, this song boost my confidence in my junior years. Felt i can do whatever i want because of it.
Just makes you want to strut like you own the place 😝
but there's blasphemy :(
Finally this video is avaliable in Brazil!!!
Esperei por esse vídeo mais de 5 anos com uma imagem boa. Clipe foda demais!

Love Noel's harmony's , Liam and Noel sound amazing together, siblings always do xx
Too bad they hate each other.
@@returnedtomonkey8886 ikr???
You don't want to hear my brother and me sing together. Not that we've tried. Still, though.
This is the perfect song for any band to open a huge concert. It's speaking right to the fans!
Agreed. Typically you'd think of any band closing a show with their 'best song' but this would have to be an epic opener.
It's different from remastered hd version
original >>> remastered
Who's still loving this tune in 2019??
There is a 2016 remastered version ruclips.net/video/jyJU2136ym4/видео.html I saw them at Wembley in 2000 Amazing.
Here Brazil!
Sean Charlie84 👍🍀🌹🙏
Yep, my favorite song

I never paid attention to Oasis until this video. Amazing song. Bought the CD the morning it hit stores. Still sounds as brilliant as it did back in the day.
Anyone listening to this to shake the Covid blues off their backs in 2020?
Josie Lamb been listening to loads of Oasis lately , sooooo good.
Amen Josie! Hopefully seeing the other side of this chinese attack.
I’m not surprised I still love this song
Linda música, nos reporta aos bons e saudosos tempos
Me, from Brazil
Simplesmente um clássico do Rock! Bons tempos em que o Oasis era o número 1 (um) nas paradas do mundo inteiro.
So many helicopters. Oasis best video
