VW, Skoda Fabia, Roomster: Blower fan does not work at speed 1, 2, 3 or 4. Replace the fan resistor!

If you having problems with your blower fan on Skoda Fabia, Roomster and you noticeda that A/C Heater Blower Control Fan Switch does not operate at high speed (1, 2, 3 or 4), maybe you have to replace the fan resistor.

Thank you so much for this clear tutorial. Just had to do the same job on a Skoda Rapid, but a right hand drive. When I got the glove box out, I could not see a blower fan, but it was behind the padding! Got it done in about 15 minutes. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for such a detailed and clear description video for this replacement of resistor. My fan is only working at number 4 not on 1,2 and 3. Do you think I can try replacing this one and it may fix the problem?

Hi! Usually is the fan resistor, but you can check the fuses first.

hello your video is great easy to follow.. and so i followed your filming and when i replaced the resister i still have No fan speeds . 1-2-3-or-4 working ive checked the fuse on the drivers side of the dash board abd under the battery cover but there all ok what can i DO Next please help

Today I removed blower fan. Tested it to the car battery and it Works.
Took out the 3 switches from the dash board. heater dial 1-2-3-4- dial.
Windows floor dial.
Checked Every fuse on the right hand side of the dash board. As my Skoda is right hand drive.
And still no fan.
What have I’ve missed. Please.

Hello! Yes, but check the fuse from the fuse panel first.

Everytime i turn on the blower it blows the fuse. Is that resistor the causa of that?

I think it cant. Because without any resistor its 4th speed.
