Dude super happy you got rid of the ZR2 it just wasn’t doing it for me!. And now you are back to diesel! Awesome!!!. Intake exhaust and chip first!. Then suspension wheels and tires!.
Sad to see the ZR2 go, I've been far too busy with my own business to do any content. I'll let you know if I get any traction with the truck on RUclips, good luck to the new content with the HD
Do the Suspension first. Then the performance mods. And then the Stereo. like I'm not sure if they make a kit or not but I've seen the 4 link coil suspension conversion for the 2019-2022 chevys. I'm not a fan of leaf springs. I know you're not doing off road but the overall drove would be more comfortable imo.
@@matt13ross Danm I didn’t think you were going to reply bro that’s awesome keep it up I love the new content I just found your channel a few days ago and I love it
awesome truck Matt, I loved your Colorado videos , but I'll admit I was one of the viewers that really didn't find any interest in the new Silverado's. Your new project is my favorite generation and I look forward to tuning back in and seeing this one progress.
LML are amzing trucks just as some advice get a lift pump and do a CP3 swap before any big power mods CP4s are very finicky with fuel. If that CP4 lets goo it'll be time for a new motor
Lasfit makes great products, I have them in my truck. Also noticed the husky liners, much better than weather tech. Check your air pressure, I'm sure there over inflated. Giving you a harsh ride. As for mods, please don't drill a hole in the hood. Good luck, glad you got rid of the turd !
Nice choice! I am a wheels and tire guys so that's what I am looking for. No matter what you do you can't go wrong. Probably time to take the LS E36 out for a ride and video...😃
You can get vent visors (like I did) that fit in with the window gasket. So there is nothing stuck to the paint of the truck. They look factory. Especially on a black truck. It will not ride like the ZR2 because it has heavier suspension Looks good Matt Will be interesting to watch the changes.
Sweet truck! Can’t wait for the build! I heard your friend also bought the same truck and is thinking about having the truck go on a Canadian diet. Would love to see that on the channel.
OMG I'm so happy that you got a Duramax! 🙂 The LML is an awesome platform. Although I was hoping deep down that you'd get an L5P . Next: Banks intake or HSP If you want to get flashy, Edge or iDash and the list goes on....
Can’t wait to see this build. I’m definitely interested because I have no clue what I’m going to do once I’m done with my baby max in a couple of years. Either what you got or a halfton duramax who knows. Definitely find another friends truck that looks exactly the same from Canada to put on a diet 😂
Looking forward to this series Matt, glad you were able to get the truck you wanted. My father has a 15 LML as well, and I agree that backup camera is hot garbage
I wonder if you could get that thing running on veg oil? Always get your under the hood stuff on the level first, delete, catch cans, performance plug wires, bigger turbo, secondary inline fuel pump. Truck needs maybe a 2-3" lift. Please don't do LEDs in the wheels. That's it.
Hi Matt, you're looking to replace the factory stereo system in your truck. No problem. Stinger makes a nice 10 inch deck that would be perfect for your application. It's called high ten. I have the 8 inch version in my 2008 Silverado.
@@matt13ross if you want really good sound you would greatly benefit by replacing the Bose amp and speakers. Yes it's pricey but you can also add additional cameras. I guarantee it's well worth it.
@@matt13ross I'm an audiophile. Not everyone is in the position or willing to redo their whole audio system. I spend a lot of time in my truck and I went the extra mile with changing out all the speakers with high end components, added a subwoofer, the stinger deck, a really nice 5 channel amp and a DSP. I'm into it for about 6,000. But it sounds like a concert.
I drove from PA to pick up my new car in NH. It was the only place selling less than MSRP. The trip was worth it, went to mount Washington and drove the kancamagus highway. It’s beautiful up there.
Excited to see what you bring to the channel with this truck. Curious as to where you got this as I'm from New Hampshire and looking to move from a diesel Canyon to a full size next summer.
Performance first , that will buy you time to make a game plan for the rest of the build, this should be a better build then the full size zr2. Chevy just didn’t make that truck special enfought imo. But the Colorado zr2 should defiantly be on your radar that’s going to be a hit ( and I have 21 zr2 diesel I picked up when I heard the diesel and the crush color was going away ) the the specs on the new ones have look really good . Keep up the hard work
@@matt13ross definitely not cheap, but not too terribly expensive. The reason I was thinking about it is because my satellite radio doesn't work right now and I don't know why
hello friend what happened to the chevrolet zr2, did you sell it or what did you do with it. In the video I saw that it was somewhere else and that is my doubt.
I hope by street build you still mean like a minimal lift and 20-22s with some poke and as tall and wide as you can fit hybrid tire like the grappler. Big wheels and street tires is lame af on a truck.
Anecdotal, but I really think that mods/rebuilds on sports/JDM cars are a lot more interesting and view heavy than American trucks. Personally, I wouldn't ever seek these videos out, but I'll watch 'em because I like your content and channel. I think if you're going for purely views, focus on the Porsche etc. but still do the truck videos.
I went with the rst trim cuz I like the painted front bumpers and rear bumper . I don't do a ton of off-roading I do a lot of fishing a little bit of hunting. 55k for a z71 with a Duramax was a pretty good deal I mean anything above 60 is outrageous in my opinion
Great video…do the suspension and wheels/tires first. Do it off-road, or at least make it off roadish. Don’t go street with it, truck needs to be a truck ;)
Wish I knew u we’re looking to by a k2xx body style truck I have a 17 Silverado highcountry same color trim 39k miles I’m selling excellent shape if u know anyone
That's a very good looking truck. That pearl white and brown interior is a very very nice combo. Glad diesel is back.
Beautiful truck for it’s year. Cant wait for the mods in the future!

Man I gotta do the stereo asap it sucks!! Lol.
Well do that when you're doing the performance stuff then lol But I'd personally like to see the Suspension stuff done first. 😜
Nice truck! L5Ps are nice but I think you did amazingly well on this one.! Let the build begin!
Lml
Right on!!... I've heard the Alison's are best up to 2016 too. I have a 2021 L5P currently. Looking forward to see the build.
I’m excited to see what you end up doing with it. I’m the type to say, be different in your build. Do something not many are doing.
That's tough, so much has been done with these trucks already.
That radio is the same as in my 2016 Colorado. You are correct. It leaves a lot to be desired.
Very very terrible.

Agreed, a simple clean design. Will look even better if a few months!

Love the truck dude! Lasfit are great, have them on my Colorado ZR2, going on three years now and no issues!
