  • Franklin Medical Center is the only rural hospital in Louisiana to offer robotic-arm assisted total knee and total hip replacements with Stryker’s Mako System.
This highly advanced robotic technology uses CT-based 3D modeling of bone anatomy to transform the way joint replacement surgery is performed. It allows the surgeon to have a highly-predictable surgical experience with increased accuracy, which results in much more favorable outcomes for the patient. Both the Mako Total Knee application the Total Hip application use CT-based 3D modeling of bone anatomy whereby the surgeon can use the Mako System to create a personalized surgical plan and identify the implant size, orientation and alignment based on each patient’s unique anatomy. The Mako System also enables surgeons to virtually modify the surgical plan intra-operatively and assists the surgeon in executing bone resections.
