Man I can just feel that emotion on the last breakdown of “The Emptiness Between Stars” I can just feel it like idk how to describe it not even just the voice the guitar and drums and bass were all on the same level as the vocals man that breakdown just hits different definitely going in my top 10

Whoa. This is something you don't hear all that much. The growing trend of blackened deathcore on Unique Leader Records is phenomenal. Osiah, Mental Cruelty and this leading the deathcore game this year!

I've come back to this so many times, it has to be AOTY.
There's been so many good releases this year; Lorna Shore, Mental Cruelty, Humanity's Last Breath, Osiah, Brand of Sacrifice, To The Grave, AngelMaker, A Night in Texas, Distant, Crown Magnetar, Sin Deliverance, Vulvodynia, Within Destruction, Signs of the Swarm, etc.
That's just to name the more well-known ones!
Honestly 2021 has been so fucking good for deathcore, there has been releases for every aspect of the genre. This album stands out above them all in my personal opinion, it's just so complete.
Just found you guys, you are my favorite band. So incredible the atmosphere the rate and the poetry, and dudes voice... Man he's Unreal, he has such a distinct voice. Your music is an experience

As a drummer i dont think he has such a unique style, comparing to the drummer of Humanitys last breath and vildhjarta, we can talk about unique style and genius haha.
But on this album, the drummer in fine but doesnt sounds that personal :)

I have no idea where else to ask this. I saw a clip of a hardcore or slam band on Instagram. All I remember is the drummer wearing a yellow and black checkered sweater and his crew cut had the same pattern. Sound familiar to anyone?

I can already see what sort replies this will get hahaha, but the breakdown at 3:35, you cant tell me that it doesnt sound like a straight rip from lorna shore's 'King Ov Deception'. Everything from the snare bombs, vocals, even the transition from the breakdown straight back into the symphonic sounding riff. I dunno man, straight after I heard that, thats when it lost me
I'm a big fan of Immortal and this band hasn't grown on me yet but even I don't really see what you're referring to. Doesn't really sound that similar side by side and neither breakdowns are particularly breaking new ground.
This album has been out for a while now, it’s just being re released via unique leader because they just got signed to them. It was received very well :)
Having a similar breakdown to a band in the same genre or any band with breakdowns actually.. isn't a rip off. A lot of the same song writing formulas are used in all genres of music.. because it sounds good.
That's the genres style man, you must think MC new stuff is a straight LS rip off too, but it's not, LS just created a sound for this genre and other bands are taking inspiration.
@MADBACKWARDSCONT I don’t know why everyone says Lorna shore created this genre, sure they made it popular but Abigail Williams were probably the first along with winds of plague to play blackened deathcore.

The whole music composition is really deathcory. The vocals aren't black metal either. But one of my favorites in blackened Deathcore.

I kept thinking munchkins from The Wizard Of Oz the whole time I was listening. I'm wondering, though. Do they program the drums? I can't believe any drummer could play like that. And, are there any lyrics. It sounds like it's just grunting.

@@davidjenson1570 No, the drums aren't programmed, metal drummers are insanely talented usually and have enormous stamina and speed. I recommend watching drum cam footage from bands such as Cattle Decapitation, Origin, Necrophagist, Aeon, Soreption, and to mix it up a bit, 1349.
Yes, there are lyrics, I can even understand them most of the time without reading along or needing a lyric video. If you listen to enough metal and know the language than eventually you could as well.

I think the heaviest I get with metal is Dyscarnate, but only their album With All Their Might. I like slower stuff like Crowbar, too. Thanks, man.
