This is impossibly good. Extreme metal perfection. Sinister/ catchy and impeccably played. Holy shit they have come along way. Doesn't get any better than this
The fact that anyone thinks this and other "Cookie Monster on Crack" bands are some flavor of metal is laughable. Noisy and heavy does not necessarily equal metal, really it doesn't, but you people, yes "you people", always want to jump on the "metal bandwagon" instead of thinking for yourself. This album has such a killer atmosphere to it. I hope they keep building on this style they’re creating. It’s very progressive with its peaks and valleys. Great dynamics. Great playing. Travis Ryan is easily the best extreme metal singer in the world. I love the giant choruses and demon shrieking clean-ish vocals.
Huge love for Metal Blade Records for always uploading their new releases to RUclips. Best album with Infant Annihilators - The Battle Of Yaldabaoth in 2019 IMO.
An album to unite the factions of Deathcore and Death Metal. All of us here to enjoy disgusting brutality, and stress about human folly. Let's go boys.
I really like the vocals at the very end, almost Bjork like. So much pain and sadness, very poignant and evocative of the end of all life as we know it.
Then maybe you would like Archspire 😁 Maybe you already know them, but I recommend them to you because, from what I read in their comments, they are like Dethklok, but faster. Please try Drone Corpse Aviator, it's great 😄

TBH this hits harder today than in 2020 for me, with all the shit happening. 1000-year rain event from hurricane Ian. 1/3 of India having flooded recently. Record heat and fires in the UK. The western US in a historic drought, with the Colorado River drying out, and virtually no conservation action being taken. Agricultural yields decreasing dramatically, and already an undersupply of fresh produce in grocery stores. Continued deforestation on a massive scale. Glaciers melting faster than previously thought set to raise sea levels more than had been predicted. Ongoing denial by many leaders and much of the public that humans could have possibly contributed to the problem or should do anything to address it. A global wave of science denial and "alternative truth". A major spike in fascist tendencies and rising political violence in the US and elsewhere. Putin's war in Ukraine, and now the spectre of nuclear war. And that's just off the top of my head. I used to think science and progress would eventually free the human race to escape this rock and live among the stars, but I'm becoming ever more convinced that we're going to eradicate ourselves before then.
Jesus. This is one of the best albums I've ever listened to. Seriously, even though the name is a little crazy (which I think turns some people off from this band), they have crazy technical prowess and those vocals are amazing. Fucking hats off to Cattle Decapitation.
not just in metal but in all music genres, the early albums of an artist are often their very best. Cattle decapitation are the opposite, they just keep going forward, becoming better and better, and when they totally kick everyone's ass they come back and show us they can be even more :):):)
They went above and beyond for this release. Just absolutely incredible. Be Still Our Bleeding Hearts and With all Disrespect dish out straight solid damage.
In my opinion this was always realistic and simply a matter of time. It's only a question of time before the next outbreak of disease as the constant "weapons race" of organisms. Climate change has already started to affect weather pattern and it will only get worse.
Hands down one of THE best albums imo. What an evolution these guys have made over the years, It'll be hard to surpass this one but please prove me wrong! The use of clean vocals really brings out the gravity of the subject matter in the lyrics, perfectly accompanied by the 0 to over 9000 mph tempo-switching instrumentation. Cover art also very much on point, I'd also be going through my knees if I had to carry the heavieness of all this! Got this one on a splattered colour vinyl and is since it's release a staple in my regular playlist, as should everyone.

Last time I was in a bar, well over a year ago, was when I was passing through northern California and met a random metalhead in a random establishment. Our conversation immediately went to how good the new Cattle Decap was.
Imagine this album could've just as well ended on "Time's Cruel Curtain" and be perfect. Then "Death Atlas" comes after a masterful and emotional interlude.. masterpiece is a word thrown around a bit too often, but this time it seems like an understatement.
Anthropogenic: end transmission is a brilliant intro track before the Geocide ! Also there’s a lot of language happening on there, i think it would be cool if we can understand them all to understand the context even more. I’ll start with my language, Bahasa Indonesia 1:08 “Selamat malam hadirin sekalian, selamat berpisah dan sampai bertemu lagi di lain waktu” means “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, goodbye and see you later”
Basically every other language says the same, only some minor differences but the message is equal and invariable. These are the salutations from humanity sent to the stars and outer space long ago in a golden disc stuck in a traveller satellite years ago.

Have you seen the video? They made it in April 2020 when they were all stuck at home. And they used Justin Trudeau's speech at the start of the pandemic as the into lmfao
It's not extreme metal, it's just extreme something or other, I'd call it extreme !@#$ , but you people can surely think up a name for it that does not have metal tacked onto the end.
@@megametal8641 you probably have a Bret Micheals poster on your wall you beat it too and have never written a song or played an instrument in your life
Lol. Nope. Posters are Slayer, Venom, Kreator, Bathory, Hellhammer. I have generated 2800 guitar riffs (2798 to be exact) and no that is not a misprint. @@johncrawford5449
Go back to tending your cattle little Johnny.
For me, they somehow managed to outdo themselves with Terrasite. The evolution of this band is unreal!
A lot of us are in the minority when it comes to music this intense. For me probably the best overall album in at least 6-7 yrs. Don't just pull it up on yt but actually buy the album to support them. THIS ALBUM IS EPIC!!!!
I got 20% off black Friday deal 🤘
I preordered a deluxe set but Metal Blade still hasn't shipped my order. This is the only way I can listen for now.
never knew too much about this band, heard this album and was blown away.....
Im gonna go buy the cd if i can find it 🤘🏽
The only black friday shopping that matters
Hahah yeah
Black Friday soundtrack \m/
I'm Black Friday shopping while listening to this album. 🤘🤘🤘💪
Yeah
The only Black I know is Black Metal
Having this right now, and new albums from Napalm Death, Carcass and Anaal Nathrakh next year. Hoping new albums from Aborted, Benighted and Dying Fetus to start this new decade 🤘🏻.
Allan Pv new aborted EP next yesr
Yes! Really hoping for new dying fetus next year!
You're profile pic reminds me of Beneath the massacre
There’s new NP, Anaal Nathrakh and CARCASS(!!!!) next year?!!!!! Damn I’m outta the loop. But I just gave me an early Xmas present. (After metal blade and Cattle Decap gave me this one!)
Benighted is in studio now 🤘🤘🤘
Thanks to Metal Blade Records for Cattle Decap and the rest of the bands you support - truly you're all legends. Thank you for allowing us to hear this online in these times.
I've had 30 years of moshing going to death metal shows - I fear that the days of moshing are over and that is something really fucking sad - was good while it lasted.
Metal Forever
This album has such a killer atmosphere to it. I hope they keep building on this style they’re creating. It’s very progressive with its peaks and valleys. Great dynamics. Great playing. Travis Ryan is easily the best extreme metal singer in the world. I love the giant choruses and demon shrieking clean-ish vocals.
Dave Hunt does exceptional work as an Extreme Metal vocalist too!
This is it.
The peak of 2019 Extreme Metal.
No
D V I haven’t but I shall check it out
Check out "Simulacrum" by Hideous Divinity too
The Battle of Yaldabouth begs to differ
@@breakanimi Melancholy by Shadow of Intent as well
I just can just not pick a favorite song from this beauty, they're all so good !
Huge love for Metal Blade Records for always uploading their new releases to RUclips. Best album with Infant Annihilators - The Battle Of Yaldabaoth in 2019 IMO.
Yeeeees. New Infant Annihilator album is insane. These are my top 2 albums of the year.
Two awesome slabs of music
I totaly agree with you
This two album are pure dope
An album to unite the factions of Deathcore and Death Metal. All of us here to enjoy disgusting brutality, and stress about human folly. Let's go boys.
I really like the vocals at the very end, almost Bjork like. So much pain and sadness, very poignant and evocative of the end of all life as we know it.
That's Laure from Igorrr.
My most anticipated album this year by a long shot. Those two tracks they released are incredible.
The intensity of this band while reading along with the lyrics is something that keeps me coming back for more... 🤘😡🤘
Keep coming back, never disappointed 🤘
For me hands down the best Death Metal Album of the past few years
Then maybe you would like Archspire 😁 Maybe you already know them, but I recommend them to you because, from what I read in their comments, they are like Dethklok, but faster. Please try Drone Corpse Aviator, it's great 😄
@rubenalmeidalopez610 I know them but I really don't like the vocals. But I have to say Drone Corpse Aviator is pretty nice 😏
Be still our bleeding hearts and Time's cruel curtain are perfect!
Really kind of ignored these guys for a long time for some reason. Seeing them tonight as they open for Obituary, Carcass and Amon Amarth and figured I should give their latest album a spin as to not be 100% in the dark. Gotta say, this album is pretty fucking sick. Gonna have to give them a closer look after all these years.
Absolute masterpiece
The metal world will understand this one day
This Is black metal??
@@alduinalxnx6967 not at all. Just a new way to play death metal
This is my first cattle decap album and I can't stop listening to it long enough to check out their other albums.
From loving the first four albums skipping everything else and then this. These guys keep perfecting what they are good at without losing any of our interest. Amazing work
An important message wrapped in killer music. This album hits hard.
Lol the message is downright laughable. I mean it is death metal though so...
"an important message" you are such a doofus
Joey Lummox the message is for good very unlike a lot of death metal 😂
@@deathmetalhell How is it not important? How is warning the world about global warming and the shit we're putting our planet through not important? I don't get you people..
@@HomeOnDeranged Warning the human race to stop doing the shit we're putting our Earth through is laughable..? ok boomer
This is the first time I've ever heard this band. I totally get all the positive comments, it's fantastic. Just bought the vinyl!
i was never a huge fan or deathgrind but this is just amazing i cant stop listening to it
Love you Metal Blade Records and Cattle Decapitation! We need your art!
Breathing New Life into Death Metal Hardcore Post Modern Techno Thrash! The best way I can describe the onslaught of beautiful melodic dark destruction!
I don't know why but I find myself getting so much more work done listening to Cattle's latest two albums. Thanks for making the workday run so much more smoother Cattle.
This is not as good as I anticipated.
It's even better, SO much better, and that's a lot to say.
IMO, album of the decade.
for me that title goes to Terminal Redux, but this is a completely justifiable and respectable choice.
@@joeyuzwa891 Same goes to yours.
Damn, such a great decade for metal.
It's vicious and also very melancholic in spots. People throw around the word heavy a lot but this, this is what heavy is.
This album is a masterpiece
Best album of the year! I love travis ryan so much !!! Greatest vocalist ever. Greeting from indonesia
album of the year 100%. this is by far the best cattle album
Hands down, best Extreme Metal album of 2019.
Probably the best lyrics in Metal ! Soundtrack of modern times!
They went above and beyond for this release. Just absolutely incredible. Be Still Our Bleeding Hearts and With all Disrespect dish out straight solid damage.
Amazing! Next album theme: space horror? Event Horizon anyone? that Midnight Odyssey collab was such a good tease
I've been sleeping on Cattle Decap for so long....until this album.
The focus on global catastrophe instead of isolated brutality rekindled my admiration for the band. And those vocals. So truly unique. \m/
Of all the great metal albums to come out this year, this reigns supreme!
“Reign Supreme”
Which is also one of the best metal albums
This is some serious jams right now. Time's Cruel Curtain is beautiful and heavy AF. Same with Vulturous. This whole album kicks some ass.
While the humankind is plagued by COVID-19, the album somehow sounds livelier and more realistic than ever.
@theplayboymaster why
In my opinion this was always realistic and simply a matter of time. It's only a question of time before the next outbreak of disease as the constant "weapons race" of organisms. Climate change has already started to affect weather pattern and it will only get worse.
still has been more deaths from H3N2 so far this season
@theplayboymaster correct
@David Gibson globalism is slavery
Just can’t stop listening... so brutal, emotional, relevant... Masterfully produced, beautifully written, exquisitely preformed.
I feel a tiny bit of Devin Townsend inspiration flowing all over the album.
This is much better than everything I ever heard by Townsend, never really liked any of his stuff ...but I like this!
@@DerEchteBold Devin is one of the most versatile and amazing singers I've ever heard! But he can't, for the life of me, write an interesting song or cool riff?!
@@Metalton95
Well, I kinda like the guy but I never liked anything he did musically.
The newest song I heard was kinda alright though.
@@DerEchteBold Thanks for your reply , you should check the strapping young lad albums ! 'City' (1997) is kicking major ass in my opinion : ) Cattle just like Devin manage to evoke profound feelings with their music. I feel so......human.... while listening to them. In the ship called Earth, there are no passengers, we are all crew.
@@Mrmemphisbones
Oh, I faintly remember that band, thanks!
The second half of the album is so strong. I love every single track so gd much starting from track 7. Really reached or exceeded anthropocene extinction on those. Damn chills
I share the thought, that the album gets better towards the end! ;)
I liked Cattle before and admired them, but this album made me a superfan. I have not loved an album like i love this one in more then 10y
It’s great BECAUSE the subject matter is real, EVERYONE CAN RELATE TO THIS, it is a universal themed album. That’s why it is scary and very emotional, besides Cattle being GREAT musicians for many years now!
The lyrics and music are so seismic. It's like an earthquake is shaking your mind. This album is an absolute masterpiece!
Fucking incredible album. Best metal release that I've heard in years.
This drummer is incredible 🔊🔊🔊🤘
@Tyler Smash Yes, blast beats and double bass but his groove and fills are his style. smh ur just mad
@Tyler Smash Try hard? First if all what do you mean by that and how does it sound like that?
@Tyler Smash Dude, they're drums. It is the rhythm...
@Tyler Smash I know what it means I'm not stupid, I'm a drummer. But I don't understand what your point is by the drumming is "crap" you still haven't explained that
Tyler Smash Haha. Its extreme drumming. Takes Years to get this good. Smh.
Album of the year? Possibly!
Next couple of years ? Hahaha
Album of the decade.
More like definitely.
Pudding of the year
Dude. Absolutely
I'm here because I discovered by accident Terrasite. It really blowed my mind. Since 2023 May 12 these 2 albums are o repeat almost DAILY, without getting bored. Pure obsession and passion! What a band...
Album released in Nov 2019 with the song "Bring Back the Plague"... one month later the plague would indeed be back
Saw Cattle Decap with Atheist a few days ago and picked up the cd early. Yes, Cattle Decap and Atheist at the same show. Legends. Anyways, love the album.
I'm very envious!
Im going to see CD and Atheist this Wednesday in Toronto 🤘😎
Seeing both bands with Full of Hell and Vitriol tomorrow!
How was atheist, I'm seeing the tour on Sunday

I was lucky enough to catch the stream and talk to people while it went down: a great experience.
Juan Carlos Romero yea although the pudding got out of control😂
0:18 "paz e felicidade a todos"
I never thought I would hear a portuguese speech in a death metal album
Goddamn!!!
That must be the 10000th time I listen to this full album...
Greetings from Brazil
Thank you RUclips Algorithm for recommending this gem!
such a good album
Such a good profile picture.
I sense some Nevermore touch when I look closer, but this is a good thing. Miss it.
Brilliant Travis Ryan that much all i can say... His legendary voice is unmatchable 🙏
I have heard so much great metal throughout this year. I am incapable of designating 'Album Of The Year' to just one album alone.
With that being said, this album is great.
I've had so much goin on in my life the last few years (transitioning from military to civilian, divorce, gf almost dying to an illness that the docs still aren't sure of, then covid? Fuck me) so I've been out of loop--hell, I've had this album on CD since it released but I've only recently opened and listened to it. My point here, is what else would you recommend to a metal head whos a bit rusty? Besides slugdge, of course.
@@jimm7346 I'm going to recommend whole albums that I like. The list will be all over the metal spectrum.
Sojourner - The Shadowed Road
Black Tongue - Nadir
Job for a Cowboy - Sun Eater
Trivium - Shogun
Carach Angren - Where the Corpses Sink Forever
The Acacia Strain - Coma Witch (Thier entire discography is great if you're angry)
Psyclon Nine - We the Fallen ( Earlier albums are purely electronic )
Dying Fetus - Destroy the Opposition
Mudvayne - L.D. 50
Septic Flesh - Communion
Dope - Felons and Revolutionaries
Misery Index - Discordia
Onslaught - Generation Antichrist
Bishop of Hexen - The Nightmarish Compositions
Cattle Decapitation - The Harvest Floor (Since we're here)
Mutiny Within - Origin
Prong - Cleansing
Shylmagoghar - Transience
That's 18 album.
I typically find music either by the algorithm or by subscribing to record labels.
This album is beyond words and is exactly what we needed. The tracks "The Great Dying 1 & 2" alone have great impacts "The Unerasable Past" is just phenomenal as well. This is the perfect record, hands down.
Never paid attention to this band before but this album seems to create a new genre on its own. Its genius.
This and the new gojira album, fortitude... Technical Eco-Deathgrind
This album has a soul, and it's absolutely amazing!
Soundtrack of humanity's situation now
I am 38 and never was a metalhead. Not even the light mainstream metal, none of them was on my scope. BUT THE THIS OUT OF NOWHERE...I don´t remember how I landed on this group, honestly, but after one year of searching for similar groups, I found more new cool things like Infant Annihilator, Within the Ruins, The Tony Danza Tapdance, some songs of Shadow of Intent...
But nothing more exciting than CattleDecap to my ear, I guess is the fact that they release albums from time to time. Seems like they curate a lot of what they release, their 3 last albums are INSANE. 9/10s and 10/10s all the way to every song. Would be freaking awesome to see them perform live {black heart emoji}
please dont add any of those bands in the same category as Cattle... Thanks :)
I clicked on see more..... sorry my bad... your right hahaha
I have probly already posted on this album but listing for probly my 15th time. This is one of the best albums I have ever heard. I could have paused several times before 18:12 but I was making something to eat. I sat down to eat and this part came on. I screamed the whole part before ate. I'm home alone and wearing head phones Too! Probly epic........ defiantly epic.
Black Friday, a materialistic day, just a little closer to extinction \m/
Cattle Decapitation keeps evolving. This beast is never ending!
Last time I was in a bar, well over a year ago, was when I was passing through northern California and met a random metalhead in a random establishment. Our conversation immediately went to how good the new Cattle Decap was.
And?? 🤷♂️
Imagine this album could've just as well ended on "Time's Cruel Curtain" and be perfect. Then "Death Atlas" comes after a masterful and emotional interlude.. masterpiece is a word thrown around a bit too often, but this time it seems like an understatement.
this gets better as the time passes...
Anthropogenic: end transmission is a brilliant intro track before the Geocide !
Also there’s a lot of language happening on there, i think it would be cool if we can understand them all to understand the context even more.
I’ll start with my language, Bahasa Indonesia
1:08 “Selamat malam hadirin sekalian, selamat berpisah dan sampai bertemu lagi di lain waktu” means “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, goodbye and see you later”
Basically every other language says the same, only some minor differences but the message is equal and invariable.
These are the salutations from humanity sent to the stars and outer space long ago in a golden disc stuck in a traveller satellite years ago.
I remember watching these guys and the singer
Spit a huge luggee in the air caught it with his hand and put it in his pocket like noone was watching. AMAZING!!!
yup! saw them live and he was just spitting in the air on people haha
Wtf ew
Schnitenhuven Doombringer spitting all over is one thing
but catching it and putting it in his pocket. Wow
Thank you so much for timing the ads in between songs.
Wow that intro was so dramatic and captivating when 2nd track kicked in, I forgot this was an Extreme Technical Death Metal Band! LOL
