Why 'SHIN GODZILLA' is the SCARIEST Godzilla ever?...

- Why 'Shin Godzilla' Stands Out as the Most Terrifying Godzilla ever? 'Shin Godzilla' presents a unique perspective on the iconic monster. At first, Godzilla appears confused and distressed, simply going about its massive creature activities. However, when it unleashes its full power, particularly in the atomic breath scene, the impact is both awe-inspiring and heartbreaking. This moment captures the tragedy of a creature lashing out in pain and confusion, despite lacking malicious intent. The accompanying soundtrack adds to the emotional weight of the scene. Interestingly, 'Shin Godzilla' harkens back to the original intent of the character as a cautionary symbol for the dangers of nuclear energy, rather than a mere entertainment spectacle. Godzilla's eerie appearance, especially in its larval stage with blood-spilling gills, adds to its unsettling nature. The film's pacing may start slow, but the eventual payoff is undeniably worth it, making 'Shin Godzilla' a standout entry in the franchise.

You can tell from the way he's hunched over that he's quite literally vomiting radiation because its hurting him
Oh yeah shins existence is shit, but It probably gets better once he's in his further evolutions and stops being so slow and lumbering
@@Ungwolop-bh3qe yeah, no. Imagine evolving in a span of days, while for other species it takes thousands of years. That quick evolution must hurt as hell.

I'm with you on that,
It would look cool ngl
Also, if I remember correctly, the atomic breath scene was its attempt at suicide by releasing all of the energy in its body. That with "Who will know?" playing in the background makes it incredibly sad, especially since the lyrics are the two sides of Shin, its mind, which wants to die, wants to stop suffering, and doesn't understand what's happening, and the body, which is forcing him to survive, regardless of how torturous its existence is, because the body doesn't have a consciousness.

Shin Godzilla is the closest we got to a Godzilla horror movie
The original 1954 is a horror movie. The effects of a nuclear bomb.
@@isaacborder8153 I know everyone says that and that it would definitely be true for the time, but watching it a few days ago I couldn't help but laugh a few times. Didn't feel the horror part of it, just kinda... understood that it was.

If you pay attention to the song that plays while it wreaks havoc, you can see that it has two minds. The high voice is its desire for death and just it wanting to end all the pain. And the deep voice is its desire to fight, hoping that the pain will stop if it keeps fighting.

The redesign:
Wasn’t the redesign in 1954?
@@SorrowfulDude Yeah, which the first Goji was an upright dino one with the flabby dorsal plates, all of a suit for the guy to wear, but before that, yeah, they planned Godzilla looking like that before scrapping it, I wonder what timeline we'd be if we did see this version of Godzilla

Funny to think Godzilla was also supposed to be a giant octopus
shin godzilla: physically scary
gmk minus one and heisei godzilla: psychologically scary
Specifically Godzilla vs destoroyah and probably the return of Godzilla 1984 from the heisei era because the other ones are action movies and less about horror
Honestly Gminus1 probably leads into a new shin godzilla.
Fun fact the 1954 goji actually wasn't being evil he was with an entire species and family and was the last surviving member as the others were killed by nuclear bombs so if someone says 1954 is pure evil that's your counter
Shin godzilla is by far my favorite godzilla, the wide array of abilities are awesome

“Why shin Godzilla stands out as the most terrifying Godzilla ever.” Me: Just look at the damn thing
"Why is shin godzilla stand out as the scariest godzilla"
What
Shin godzilla looks goofy rather than scary
It's the way Shin Godzilla acts is scary, he literally turned his head across the buildings while cleaving them with his beam, then gets aggressive like he's saying "You want to catch these hands too, big boy?" So yeah, it's his actions that make him scary
Tbh I kinda thought at first, Shin Godzilla was the weakest Godzilla out of them all but then I watch a few of shin Godzilla shorts and find out that he is like the strongest Godzilla out of them all
hes far from the strongest, if anything hes actually one of the weakest. sure, he can evolve, but his large scale evolutions take awhile. to add onto that, he was nearly killed by bunker busters and knocked over by trains.
@@stultuskolthey armed the trains with bombs, which knocked him over. If they didn’t put bombs in them, shin would probably not get knocked over

@@LuckClover1 good point with the low budget but movie still looks like the 70s
The problem with the movie though is there is too much filler and unnecessary dialogue. You can tell they only had so much budgets and so many scenes they could do with Godzilla so they had to overload the filler convos. It would have been way better 30 minutes shorter
Wrong this was on purpose this was a reference to the real life lack of action made by the Japanese government after the massive earth quake the government talking and waiting time is commentary on the lack of action in real life when Japan went to shit
That was the whole point of the film, to show the inadequacy of government (especially the Japanese government) if a world ending disaster like this were to take place. Ultimately Shin is defeated by a rag tag band of scientists, not the government who is actually responsible for protecting the people.
It’s a political film just as much as it’s a monster film
I can’t believe a huge terrifying mutanting creature has emotions..
Sounds like a metaphor for humanity at war.
It's actually a reminder of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
I’m pretty sure that’s what 1954 gojira was made for
I was gonna say, "warning about dangers of nuclear energy" seems like bias on the reviewer's part. "warning about the horrors of nuclear war" is more like it.

That’s not true actually the most scariest Godzilla is the man in the suit and mushroom cloud Godzilla. He is the third.
How does it feel to have the only objectively wrong opinion in the whole world? We ain't talking about your analog horror shit, we are talking about actual godzilla.
Mushroom cloud godzilla ? Come on that shit's not scary it's bloody hilarious!
Oh hell naw... someone think man in the suit made form toho💀
Both those are internet analog horror while shin boi is just a nonstop evolving destructive beast that can consume the entire universe, and also a creature with tragedy and trauma
Nah this is the scariest Godzilla no one thinks that analog horror shit is cannon and involved with the universe, it ain’t even scary I swear. This Godzilla is the true horror and incarnation of the devil developed from man made comprehension.
This movie wasn't about nuclear energy. It was about the inaction of the Japanese Government during the Earth Quakes and Tsunamis
The main theme for Godzilla has two voices talking about how they have very drastic desires. The female voice which is Godzilla’s mind sings out how it’s in so much pain that it just wants to die while the male voice which represents its body/ survival instincts sings about how it has to keep fighting for survival
"Nah id adapt"- shin
I haven’t even seen the movie, only clips and explanations, and I haven’t been this afraid of Godzilla since I was 6.

Shin Godzilla is a perfect example of sunk cost fallacy.
Directed by the same person who directed neon genesis evangelion, if you know, you know. And that’s why shin godzilla has this true monster horror feel and the chilling, haunting musical scores throughout the movie.

Shin Godzilla: *demonic screeching in pain*
For about every special effects shot w Godzilla, it honestly looks like a student film
No, he's terrifying because he can actively evolve and adapt. Really really fast.
The deleted scene😢💀
It’s “atomic breath” (if that’s even the correct term for shins variant) was one of the most hype scenes I’ve seen in forever. It sort of reminded me of a welder and I’m positive I’m not alone in that. The protective coating on its eyes, the fact that it starts out like a borderline flamethrower before ignition of the beam.
Don’t remember where that took place but the entire prefecture was in flames. Then treated like ants while a human uses a magnify glass to wreak havoc on the ants.
That movie is incredibly underrated and it’s a shame.
when shin godzilla roars it means he's screaming in pain because the boiling blood inside him
His body continues to adapt to everything even though he dont want it because of the radiation inside not letting him to pass away
