Episode 3: The Power of the Holy Cities
The two holy cities of Mecca and Medina give Saudi Arabia enormous religious power. In this episode, we follow the trail of the pilgrims, from the port of Jeddah to the Holy Kaäba. And besides the call for a more moderate Islam in the country, a question remains: do religious leaders really support this?
About "Inside Saudi Arabia": Saudi Arabia is well known across the world for its wealth, strict faith and oppression, but while Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman has decreed that it wants to reform, the world is startled by the murder of journalist Khashoggi and other human rights violations. The black rock in the Kaaba belongs to Qureshi tribe , they have total 360 gods out of it one god is called Allah, Mr. Muhammad second husband of Khadija stole one of it and made it the corner stone of islam, still this religion is ruining the peace of the world, he is not a prophet he is only a Qureshi boy in the desert

I remember climbing that mountain late at night in the dark with my husband and his friends. Only one of his friends bring his wife so only 2 women out of 10 people there. I told my husband I don't want to go coz I'm not confident I can climb the mountain but he said I need to go coz this might be once in a lifetime chance so I went. My husband held my hand the whole time telling me I can do it until I finally reach the top. It was so hard I thought I was gonna die😅. I told him so many times I want to quit but he kept encouraging me. I will forever be thankful to him that I reach the top and entered & pray in the same cave that the Prophet did. Alhamdulillah 🥰

To perform a pilgrimage, there are places where you should change from normal clothes to the ehram (the two fabrics). Places outside Mecca itself. You don't change your clothes inside Mecca in your hotel room as shown here on this documentary.

Just look at the Quran Allah explicitly says “Their Lord responded to them: “I never fail to reward any worker among you for any work you do, be you male or female - you are equal to one another.” (Qur’an, 3: 195)
Another verse: “The believers, men and women, are helpers, supporters, friends and protectors of one another, they enjoin all that is good, and forbid all that is evil, they offer their prayers perfectly, and give Zakah (obligatory charity) and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will bestow Mercy on them. Surely Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.” (Qur’an, 9: 71)
Islam is literally the first religion to give womens rights and women and men equality at a time in Arabia when having a baby girl was considered a disgrace and were buried alive the moment they were born. So learn something and don’t follow the media blindly.

Though this clip is marred by inaccurate "facts" and some misinformed commentators, on the whole it manages to give glimpses of how well the Saudis have executed their responsibilities as guardians and custodians of the two holy places of Islam !

This and the Elite documentary are very well produced and gives a sense of an inside look into Saudi Arabia. The people, for the most part,welcome the interviewer with open arms. But I'm not going to lie, I do get major munafiqun vibes from him though. But he does a good job for what he's there for.

Presenter seemed to be very sceptical of most things….negative most of the time….when he said he was a ‘sufi’ that sort of explained it as the saudis don’t look very favourably on the sufis and have pretty much forbidden or destroyed the majority of the places they gathered as to prevent forbidden practices and the performing of acts they considered innovation or even shirk……hence the negative views ….

Why should people be banned from preaching another religion than islam in Saoudi-Arabia in the parts OUTSIDE OF MECCA but should vice versa (preaching islam in the Netherlands) be oke?
This seems like a clear double standard. Know that many Dutch people highly dislike the idea of Islamists coming to their country in an attempt to change the country.
Clearly, many Saoudi-Arabians would be up in arms if people would go to Saoudi and try to convert Saoudi's to another religion, yet many of them don't seem to mind if this happens vice versa.
It is absurd how he is confusing Rome to the Vatican. The reason why Islam would refuse any other faiths on its land is the same as any other religion in the world. Why would someone suggest building a church near a holy Hindu site? The essence of faiths and religions are that they are by all means are the rightful one, so why do people insist on conflicting under the name of being tolerant? Tolerance does not mean abolishing your faith entirely , I am not a conservative but I am maybe more pragmatic. It is what it is. There is no need to make any changes or alterations to Islam. Neither does any other fait, they co-exist and respect each other without the need to get into useless debates about stuff like “music” and “women’s cloths”. Why would it matter to anyone why the faith of Islam obliges women to wear a certain garment over their heads or not? If that does not match your beliefs just let it be.

When you say “we see the world of Saudi Arabia as oil and strict Islam” do you mean everyone but Saudi Arabia or we as in the film crew?
Well, this is journalist that works from the Netherlands and this documentary was first aired on Dutch TV. It is intended for a Dutch public, so very much from a Western perspective because of that. And yes, I think 99% of Dutch people think of 'oil', 'strict Islam' and 'desert' when they hear Saudi Arabia

the man discriminates against Islam. "The God gave power to Saudi Arabian" is a rude remark from this man. clearly he doesn't know anything and still acts like he knows what he said.
