There is so much potential indeed! Imagine having friendship 10 with characters would give you a matching glider or a more fancy version of their normal skin^^ That would feel rewarding as hell and wouldn't change the players powerlevel, so they still have to grind etc

Even punishing gray raven does a better damn job in this regard by having 2 variants with a more improved `outfit` you get for leveling up the units and once you resonance the memory set (and/or weapon) with a total of 12 resonances (think of it like affixes in honkai impact), you not only unlock an additional ability for combat, but also thar mug-shot to use for yer portrait.
Hell, even the fact every single character on debut gets a `Coating` or costume that could be either bought with premium currency OR FARMED FOR FREE for most of them via a coating currency you mostly get from dorm activities....
Yeah it goes to show miho-verse missed out BEEG by giving what could of amounted to Apprentice knight, student wear, casual wear, war-time wear, festival wear, etc. outfits for Genshin. That the majority of on-debut outfits in PGR could be summed up as such with not many outliers like how S-rank Chrome had a military outfit that was premium currency only but its made up for the fact they have WAY MORE TO THEM, then even honkai impact`s good outfits, between custom portraits, custom idle animations, custom opening and end combat animations and so on.

@@zagy5807 funny how the only game that comes to my head with recolor variants in recent time is that persona 5 X Chinese mobile game which has alt color variants of other chars as some kind of special rare version units.
Even if it would just be more gacha, I find those have better damn ‘potential’ then Genshin impact who have some chars with dozens of different looks in the ‘comics’ and ‘content creator stuff made for the game, and people have already black Magic’s dozens of model swaps, new outfits for said characters and so on.
Turns out best Genshin impact is a private server where people mod things in to make it fun then.
Which is sad the best potential for a game is actually in SKYRIM LOGIC.

Regarding the banners/characters problem, I think a good solution would be to add "Regional banners". You could have a Monstad banner, an Inazuma banner, a Liyue banner, etc, and you could put every 5 star and 4 star from that reoing in those banners and let them as permanent banners. Then, you add the same system that the weapons banners have, in which you can select the 5 start that you want after X amount of pulls.
Or, you could just simply do as Honkai: Star Rail and add the feature of selecting one specific 5 star after X amount of pulls. Just saying.

    • @alliu6562

Either that or an elemental banner that rotates every patch or smth would be nice

    • @BladeSerph
      @BladeSerph Год назад +13

      1. Just like how Star rails solved its damn issue with region specific resources on later zones by letting you just convert resources into other by 2 different resources for 1 of the specific resource. I would actually applaud the idea of splitting up the gacha banners by instead of rotations, but by regions to thin out the pools so even a 50/50 fail would still get you a unit SPECIFIC to that region could still be a boon instead. Which would in turn makes it easier to land dupes on your favorite units of that region too.
      2. Honestly at this point i would rather they just fking own up to Genshin gacha is trash and adopt a better gacha style like Punishing Gray ravens:
2.a. All non-debut version rate ups are 70%, with debut being 100%.
2.b. All A-ranks, Uns, Pets and weapons are avail 100% of the time as rate up in PERMANENT banners that you can freely select which A-rank construct, Uns, S-rank pet and 6 star(plus 5 star) weapon you wish to focus on for the rate up.
      2.c. Its only 10 pulls to gurantee a A-rank construct/Un, 30 pulls to gurantee a 6 star weapon, 20 to gurantee a S-rank pet and 60 for an S-rank construct.
2.d. Even if they are S-ranks, you can straight up use weekly currency to bring Uns to double S from guild battle currency and S-rank constructs via pain-cage(Basically Memorial Arena or Spiral abyss in honkai and genshin respectively) to double S without needing to gacha past unlocking them.
I can be glad Star rails has some of the bits and pieces that `resolves` the crap that Genshin had, even seeing they have a much BETTER strongbox system that i just unlocked last night which appears to let you pick WHICH equip you get from a specific set then playing yet another random game with the `artifact/relic` even after you sacrifice multiple high rarity artifacts/relics to it.

In addition to the sink costs for needing to spam even more `domain` stages to get the resources to level up trace skills.

    5. Improve the QoL of menus and UI.
I’m not optimistic Hoyoverse does any of these, but I’d really like to see a fix for Geo and Physical. It’s the issue that is both a gameplay loss for players and a financial loss for the company. How can they market new Geo or Physical units when they are so limited in performance compared to other more popular elements? It’s no surprise they haven’t tried selling a new Geo unit since Yun Jin. Boosting physical teams and turning Geo from “yellow physical” into a proper element that mirrors Dendro but covers the ground Dendro doesn’t would be huge!

As it stands I nearly struggle with keeping up with story content, abyss, and dailies. The fact that I can complete all my dailies in 30 minutes is one of my favorite things about the game. Come home from work, burn resin/commissions and log off. Each patch cycle I cut it super close on finishing event content, story content, and abyss cycles. The daily/weekly content is normally all I can get around to most days. Then, I'll finally have 2-3 days per patch cycle to actually sit down, explore the new areas, do world quests, and complete the new archon/story quests. I've been here since launch because I enjoy the game and it fits my life style, which is not the content creator or internet denizen lifestyle.

The reason is simple, balance. ER is super easy to balance, it's just a single character, SU is turn based, the simplest form of combat to balance since it's just numbers.
For Genshin to have a balanced roguelike, you need to balance 4 characters at the same time while considering how much each person has paid to win. Which means you'll need to create an extremely limiting amount of constraints for balance. Which is why the events all provided limited character choices, they are experimenting and trying to get feedback from players, making games is not easy. ER also took almost 4 years before it's released, it was also experimented and tested as short events for years.

Will that character be comepletely useless until they have gone through the entire game?. Also resin is a big problem, considering you can't get any resources without it. If you wanna level up your characters you need it, wanna get better artifacts you need it, you wanna level up your talents you need it, it's forcing you to constantly use it. With the amount of characters we have and all of them require so much resin, yet there's no compromise, it's forcing the player base to spend more money on farming. The artifact grinding is made so much worse, by the fact that there is a HIGHER chance of getting flat stats for substats, and hp/def percent on main stat. That's not a fair artifact grind, considering the mainstats and substats are rigged towards one stat and after all of that, you still have the chance of getting all lower rolls on your crit, or just getting none. Yes the skip button is extremely important but that's not it. Hell we don't even have a teleport to andrius who's been in the game since launch. Our anniversary rewards was a shit show, giving us 10 pulls. We STILL don't have artifact load outs, it's been forever since we asked and there has been no progress. The battlepass weapons have been the same for nearly 3 years? What's even the incentive to get it?. Having redundant floors in the abyss below levels 9. I also wanna point out, that high ar players that maybe are less casual are fucked with no replayablity. And low ar players are fucked with not being able to actually play their characters until they beat the game. I'm so glad I joined version 1.0 because I'd never be still playing this game if I got a character that I couldn't even use. We can't see sheild hp? What game doesn't have shield hp? Well the thing is, we got an extra 10 pull, no free 5 star after 40 wishes. Not nearly as much level up rewards. People just like to defend this game with their life, but don't realise that these problems have started 3 years ago, nobodies done anything to change them. Do you really want this to go on another 4 years? No new permanent event, stuck in the abyss, and if you don't like that content (like me who can't stand it since I play on mobile and cba with it) your fucked over. Why?, well the developer said that they don't want new players to be intimidated by the events. That's hilarious coming from the same people who forces new players to comeplete the story to make progress with their characters (im not even just talking about 5 stars, 4 stars too. The fact that a new player could be playing for a decent amount of time, and all of their characters are stuck at low levels because they got none from monstat or liyue.). We still don't have a cryo catalyst, but hey we've got 2 dendro and 2 dendro sword users including traveller and a leaked one on the way. We have no hydro claymores. The reason the playerbase wants those 99999 raiden numbers, is because the number of damage you do has turned into the only end game content we have, and that's exactly why people barely main non meta units, because what's the point of the game then? If your doing no damage your only content is serenitea pot and the card game. Oh and the state of geo is abysmal, with there not even being a standard banner geo character, or polearm

That's why it explicitly states that 'event-exclusive character will not be available in the standard wish "wanderlust invocation" ' They cant add them to the standard banner, but they could make a different standard wish with a different name and add them to that instead.
And honestly at this point they could make say a 1.x exclusive character banner. (Venti, Klee, Childe, Zhongli, Albedo, Ganyu, Xiao Keqing, Eula, Kazuha would be eligible for the rotating cast) Staying a couple versions behind gives enough room for reruns of newer characters while still giving wider access to older release characters. And Genshin could choose to withhold higher profiting characters such as Kazuha back from it anyways.

The "big" most advertised events of a patch usually yield 10 pull at best. Quests, who often can take hours and hours, will only give you about 60 primos. A full questline might give enough for one wish if we're lucky.

I would love to see more more multiple week quests. What if commissions weren't just deliver these 3 things to someone, but had a small story progression to them. For example the cooks in Mondstadt/Liyue (Brooke and Smiley) keep asking for ingredients until they perfect a recipe after 4-6 runs of the quest. At which point they gift you the recipe they created. There could even be 2 or 3 versions for long term multiple month content. And since most recipes overlap in effect, you dont have to get the recipe if you don't want.
Expanding this you could unlock a region exclusive weapon blueprint from the blacksmiths, maybe a new furniture item or just cosmetic things like special profile backgrounds.
Tldr something that takes longer to gain but has consistent progress towards a small reward.

I have a few Ideas that I think would help the player have more agency while artifact hunting and I have an idea to help fix the standard banner/new player experience.
    Artifact Hunting
-Make each day have an increased drop rate for certain artifacts.
    -Monday - Flower | Tuesday - Feather | Wednesday - Sands | Thursday - Goblet | Friday - Circlet | Saturday - Artifact Set A | Sunday - Artifact Set B
This way if I need a circlet for a character I can focus farming on one day, similar to how talent books are farmed.
    Standard Banner
-Make a rotating banner the changes every month or every patch. This banner should be based on each region and feature 2-3 Five stars and every 4 star from that region.
-Monstat - Diluc, Jean, Mona | Liyue - Keqing, Qiqi, Ganyu | Inuzuma - Yoimiya, Itto, Ayaka | Sumeru - Dehya, Tignahri, Cyno
This way you can save your blue wishes to wish on a banner that you can level up. Nothing is worse than pulling an Inuzuma character while you are still stuck in Liyue. I'd also suggest that the new standard banner for each country wouldn't come out until after we start the next country. Also It increases the chance to get a specific character from the banner. I have a friend who desperately wants Diluc but her luck isn't doing it for her.

In Genshin we could also have buffs based on the time used to eliminate particularly strong enemies, or the order in which enemies are defeated, or even a corrosion effect which gets stronger and stronger the longer you're taking to clear a wave

There are so many quality of life changes alone that could make this game so much better, i.e.
    - Creating a system with which players who missed events could obtain event exclusive weapons, especially ones that are best-in-slot 4-stars for certain characters;
    - Maybe even create a system where players who missed certain story-based events would be prompted, upon reaching the point in the story with which such a thing wouldve occured in the timeline, with a choice to download that event's story/quests so it could still be experienced, and then just deleted afterward so it doesnt hog too much more storage than necessary. This could also impliment the limited 4-star weapon system mentioned above where they obtain said weapon by completing the event attached to it. This would create a system where the limited events themselves would still have limited-time rewards to incentivize players to do them while they're live, but also allow major story/lore points, character reveals, and character interactions to be experienced by all players if they so wish to do so (i really went in on this one because this is one of my biggest pet peeves with this game);
    - Rotate the artifacts in the domains based on day, as explained by Vars
    - Make weekly bosses resin-free (because the amount of rewards you can get from them is already limited to a week to week amount, and the amount of resin that we have has become grossly disproportionate to the amount of weeklies we have [8 bosses, 3 = 30 resin; 5 = 60 resin; = 390 resin total per week, just on these bosses, of which is over 2 full days worth of resin].)
    - etc. (There are probably more but i cant think them up off the top of my head and ive made my point in this department)
All of these changes are based purely on things that are already in game or have already been created and would just require them to take time to impliment them properly. Hearing Vars go into all of the changes that could be made to make this game so much better is disappointing all over again, and im reminded of how much misused potentional this game has and will likely continue to have. Even for things like the abyss, whilst developing a randomized endless mode would be difficult, the foundation of the abyss already gives them a bit a jumping pad for creating this extented gamemode. Its weird to say that im a "casual genshin player" because it doesnt feel like a choice ive made, it feels like a choice the game has made for me

I think an alternative, and one that I personally would prefer, to endgame content would be more levels / reward tiers in event activities. The Genshin events are generally pretty fun, but the activities are way too easy and quick to complete with nothing to do once you have finished them.
They give excess time to events so people who can't play every day when the time gates unlock can still do them, which is fine, but the people who have finished them need to wait them out for the next one. If they offered higher reward and challenge tiers I think that would combat the lack of content issue, and it would also be fun and varied rather than the potential monotony of an endless challenge mode.
The counter point to this, of course, is that it isn't fair to players with less time to sink, but a lot of other mobile gachas already have a system like this. The event exclusive rewards don't need to change, they can stay in the easy to reach tiers, so no one misses out on exclusives, the higher rewards are comfort rewards, like in game currency, materials, standard banner pulls or whatever. Enough to incentivize people to keep playing beyond the level necessary, but if you can't or don't want to play, you don't miss anything of significant value.

i think they are doing some great stuff recently when it comes to boosting the amount of content, like all the desert world quests with jeht take a decent amount of time and are enjoyable, but yeah i definitely agree there should be more. a really simple but very fun thing they could do which is similar to your abyss idea is implement a survival mode, basically like cod zombies, where the only objective is to make it through as many rounds as possible where each round has random enemies getting steadily stronger. just that alone would be really fun and take no effort from hoyo, but they could add so many cool mechanics like they do for every single event we never see again. just to name a few we could hypothetically choose from the whole character list to build our dream team with their test run builds, or we could have a whole new progression system for this minigame where you level up as you go and have to spend some currency (in the minigame lol) to buy or upgrade weapons, or we could unlock characters as we go and change our loadout between rounds

2:35 To add to this we should have the ability to feed artifacts into an item to create Sanctifying Essence/Unction. To help alleviate artifact 'storage'.
The Reason they wouldn't do this however, is because of how content starved Genshin is. If you take away the exploration, collectibles and use your resin - what is there to do? Don't even get me started on """Co-Op""". Genshin definitely needs a better 'endgame' than Abyss.
7:20 I think the major reason why they haven't done some characters for so long - is they observe their use in the Abyss (current only endgame); so they know Physical is in a bad spot - so Eula probably won't get a re-run until (if ever) they re-work/buff how that works. I think Mika was an experiment towards that, and hasn't produced the results they were hoping for. Because monetization-wise, Eula is a bad move, besides FOMO no one has a real reason to pull her when other combos/teams are much more popular.
7:40 I hope one day The Bell will find a character that can use it, really stupid (and anti-consumer) to have a weapon that doesn't work AT ALL with anyone in the roster.
7:40 Since you mentioned this, a side note- I think that the Sumeru bow needs a buff. Definitely not comparable to The Catch in terms of usefulness. Honestly, surprised with how Greedy Hoyo has been that they even allowed The Catch to be free.
8:25 that makes sense, so it won't happen. Joking aside it would cut into their "theoretical' profits, so they won't do it. Somehow they think the f2p who wouldn't buy anything at this point will somehow buy something down the line. If anything, when I see developers who actively try to impede getting good stuff (or give crap stuff, see sumeru bow) for free, then I do whatever I can not to pay them any money. Genshin is a rare gem that I enjoy but dislike the developers/publisher (hoyo) because of how they treat us.
    9:30 Exactly.
10:35 I agree, a battlepass-isque type addition where killing certain enemies gives rewards would be nice. (NOT a 'hey pay more to get more' thing) but EXACTLY as you described it.
Another game that comes to mind is Warframe, that has many forms of "endgame", it doesn't have something like WoW where you can do Raids and call that an endgame. It has lots of things that are medium-high level requirements, that are spread out and are in-depth enough to be considered their own form of an endgame. I think Genshin would benefit from a similar venture, of course, not to increase the grind, but to give us more to do that is valuable to our time spent.
10:40 An example I've brought up before is those One Off domains, you do 'em once then never again. Why bother designing something like that? Have it reset every day or every other day. First time you do it for the week you get a fragile resin, everyday after that (until bounty/boss weekly reset) you'd get the Teapot-resin, so you'd have more resin throughout the week. The only thing I'd change is add some variety to these domains so it isn't doing the same thing over and over, that'd promote burnout pretty quick for me. 12-16 of these domains (off the top of my head) that's 600-700 extra resin every couple of days. I think everyone would be cool with that. This however doesn't change the content shortage that Genshin has, it would just speed up the artifact/boss farming 'stretch' of the grind. When you're characters are done, you're still left with the prospect of 'What now?" The issue that Hoyo doesn't seem to realize is this. If players have too much of a grind, they won't grind and will leave. Even if there are many that will stay and 'tough it out', there is still a lack of content, and because of that many players are simply invested due to time/money spent in the game. One of the reasons why I Spent so much time in Star Wars Galaxies/World of Warcraft (up until MOP) was because of all the stuff I could do, collectibles, achievements, etc. Genshin needs stuff like that, like someone else said, hit friendship 10 for a character SHOULD unlock a new skin for them, and also (going with your 5* fragment weapon idea) give them a few fragments or maybe a 4*/ standard 5* weapon that character can use.
10:55 Should be 1 free pull per day with 10 per update in my opinion; all in primogems so we can decide what to spend them on.
12:30 like Zempao said that's just a bullshit excuse. They want $$ that's it.
Definitely like these style of videos, wish Hoyo would watch them though.

It's hard to get excited about winning 5-stars from banners when what they are really giving you is effectively a 'Non Playable Character', because of how long it can take to get not even artifacts with enough usable substats for them to be worth leveling, but just the 4 different pieces needed to make a set, /with completely useless mainstats/.
Along with single set per day, we should really get a way to select which of the 5 slots our artifact rewards are for every run, so we're never stuck in the situation of wasting resin getting endless pieces that serve no purpose beside being thoroughly wasteful strongbox fodder, trying to get that 4th piece, /or/ an off-set piece with the right mainstat. Then at least all the bad luck leveling could be offset by it not being so GD hard to get another piece to try again. Having a way to reset to zero isn't going far enough, when it can be so hard to get the piece in the first place.

FEH actually has a really interesting way of dealing with the 5 star bloating. Every year, they add older 5 star exclusive units to a different pool called the “4 star special” pool. Basically, they’re 5 stars that the game treats as 4 stars, so summoning one of them won’t take away your pity. They also have their own % chance completely separate from everything else, so they aren’t bloating the 4 star pool either. It’s a nice way of dealing with the “too many 5 stars” issue imo. Though it does mean that eventually the 4 star special pool will become bloated too. Which in FEH’s case can be problematic because of Weapon Refines. 😂

About Artifacts: I think Hyrule Warriors had a great Option about Substats on Weapons that would help Genshin quiet a lot. The Substats you got on your Weapons where Random. But You where able to free a Substat Slot for Money and transfer one good Substat from a Weapon to another while losing the one you transfered from in the progress. Imagine building your Artifacts how you would like them without any work of RNG. I could finally finsih my Hu Tao I've been working on for over 1,5 year.
But since you can Upgrade the Substats in this game you would need to add a Limit to it so you can't just transfer 4 different Substats who got all 3-4 Upgrades from Level Up. Maybe there had to be a Counter which counts how often your Stat was Updated and you can only transfer other Substats that don't go over that counter. So if you already had your 5 Upgrades from Level Ups for that weapon you need to delete one first to get another on it. I don't know. I'm not a game dev. But building Artifacts would be such a cool idea.
About Endless Mode: This Mode would be awesome. So many MMO RPGs have an Endless Dungeon at the end. But this Mode has to give at least some Rewards. Maybe Enemy Drops and Mora. That would be enough for me to not feel like I'm wasting my time. And since everyone has already to much Upgrade Materials (except me who only grinds that stuff when needed) you won't hurt anyone. Limiting Enemys per day as a stupid decision anyway. Also this Mode has to be at least playable with a friend. Exploring huge Dungeons together while going for the same goal, would make so much fun in this game. I don't get it, why they don't add more to Multiplayer when so many people I talked to started this game because of the Multiplayer.
    But thats just my opinion.

And if Mihoyo is feeling a bit more generous they can even allow loot table of overworld monsters in these dungeons, that means killing a bunch of elite monsters in there nets you mora, xp, and also trash artifacts.

One idea I've been submitting the past few months in the surveys for a possible artifact fix is to make artifacts able to be ascended like other equipment. This came from me and a friend discussing how sometimes you'll end up getting a purple artifact that has the exact sub-stats you may be looking for but sucks cus you can't level it up to 20.
So in concept it would be something like you pick the one specific artifact you wish to ascend then you would pick 3 artifacts of the same set you don't need that are of the same rarity to trash for it. I feel this would also give more use to artifact sets that have good set bonuses but are ultimately useless because of their level cap like some specific blue sets. This could be a decent replacement for the strong box in my opinion. Also not saying really low level sets like grey and green ones should be able to do this but blue and purple sets would greatly benefit from something like this from how I see it.

I love Genshin, and the world. The last thing I want is more daily content! When I'm in the mood, I want more to do. When I'm not in the mood, I still feel I have to log log in and burn resin. Allowing more time spreading would help a lot here. I'd love to see a much longer spread on resin storage. For example, why not give us a week worth of storage? Don't touch the game on weekdays then binge on weekends. On average progression wont be any faster, but gives the player more choice in when to spend time.
Also let's not forget events when looking at content. Event content can take a while to do, on top of dailies/weeklies. Fortunately you can pretty much do them any time throughout an event window, after the initial time gating. I see some people wait until near the end then do it all in one go. There will be lulls between events, so maybe spread the windows out a bit more than they currently are.
Also other games do exist. For instance, I've boarded the train that is HSR and can see myself effectively having another load of things to do each day there. I don't get any more time to do it.

I *will* say, as someone who's played quite a bit of Honkai Star Rail recently, that game has so many quality of life improvements that build beyond what Genshin has had set in stone, and I wouldn't be opposed to HYV translating some of those back into Genshin.
The resin economy is a lot better in HSR as you have a max of 180 and regen at a rate of 240 per day - which is a considerable amount more than what Genshin provides, and although you aren't able to have an off-piece of a relic set as you could in Genshin, the game also gives a focusing system where once per battle pass you're able to get one specific relic piece of your choosing, with the specific main stat that you're looking for. And building off of that, every talent and weapon (trace and light cone) material is always farmable, regardless of the daily rotation like what Genshin currently has in place.
There's also a roguelike end game mode that builds off of the spiral abyss's blessings and goes beyond that, pushing what ridiculous shenanigans you can accomplish with your set team. I feel like a permanent game mode like this would breathe some more life into Genshin's end game, as right now you're just stuck bashing your head against dps check bosses in the abyss.
Dailies are also super relaxing in HSR, as there's only one commission-style quest that you can do for progress towards your daily rewards, but you don't even need to do it since the game gives you 6 different activities you can do (most of which you can passively get done while spending your resin) which each reward 100-200 points out of the 500 that you need for max rewards.
HSR also gives you the opportunity to trade in starlight (the equivalent of starglitter in Genshin) for your choice of either wishes, a monthly rotation of two 4* characters, or 5* weapons (light cones). I wouldn't be opposed to putting some of the standard banner 5* weapons into the starglitter shop either, as a lot of them are fairly underwhelming but it would at least give players something to look forward to (and could theoretically get people wishing more such that they get the starglitter required to buy those weapons).

    I'm totally agree.
    And here are my complaints.
    1. Map:
At a certain point, we get a compass to find chests and oculi, and we just use an interactive map to locate the exact locations. That's frustrating.
When we want to find flowers, bugs, or other items, the interactive map is our go-to solution. It's a shame that the in-game map isn't as useful in these cases.
Considering the number of quests we have, it would be helpful to see at least the nearest ones marked on the map. Often, I prioritize nearby quests or areas with multiple quests. Wouldn't it be nice to pick up a random quest on the way to daily commissions?
Some locations have multiple layers, but having just the top layer available on the map feels limiting.
    2. Gadgets:
I just need passive gadgets. What's the problem? The portable food gadget not only replaces your regular companion but also replace your foods gadget, what you will forget until middle of a fight. It can be frustrating to have to access the inventory for something like seeds when you see a flower and etc.
    3. Character quests:
When a character with an active quest is occupied, it can be time-consuming to find that quest in a list. It would be helpful to have links to the quest associated with the character.
    4. Expeditions:
How often do I make changes? Once every few months. It would be convenient to have a button to repeat previous expeditions without having to make manual adjustments.
    5. Test runs:
Test runs are not representative enough. It would be beneficial to have more variety in the enemies faced, the ability to customize the team and weapons, and the option to use the character even after the test run has ended.
    6. Reasons to play on a daily basis:
There aren't many reasons to play daily. The fights are not particularly challenging, and the grind for character materials becomes monotonous after a few weeks. It's understandable to only return for story quests after updates, but Genshin Impact is a vast game. As a result, I've uninstalled it multiple times and forgotten about it for months.
    7. Events:
If you miss an event, you miss out on it completely, which is unfortunate. Instead of removing them entirely, the game could keep a past events and suggest them to players after the current events have been done. There have been many enjoyable mini-games during events that I would like to revisit or experience for the first time, but I am unable to do so.

As always great video. Unfortunately asking for basic needs that requires any amount of time from a company that cant be bothered to give playres basic options that already exist (and were in the game since day 1) like texture quality/lod sliders or fps unlockers is not very promising.

I never thought about the 5* weapons being that much of upgrades to characters because most content creators say it's not worth pulling for them, but it would explain how Tighnari became one of my strongest DPS characters, ahead of ones I'd invested in for months more, around the same time I first pulled the Amos Bow.

I think we (and even Hoyoverse) would benefit if they reworked the weapon banner.
Instead of this "generous" point-system give every weapon class a banner. Sword - Claymore - Polearm - Bow - Catalyst
Every weapon they release stays in the banner and shares the same drop chance as the others, the new/rerun weapon would get a boosted rate which only lasts for the version. And than after one "missed" 5-star, lets say Skyward Spine instead of Staff of Homa, the next is the guaranteed one you desire. This would end up in a much fairer display of 5-stars and potentially even in more income for Hoyoverse (which tbh is what they want). We could even go so far and let this "guaranteed one" be class exclusive.
And for permanent gamemode, remember the labyrinth gamemode from 2.2. This rogue-like-kinda-off playstyle where you get random buffs, fight in random rooms with random enemys.
    Just recycle this!!!!
Take it, rename it, give it maybe 1 more design, add (almost) all monsters and there you have it - a easy to make gamemode which the players already liked. Update it like every 2 versions, give "simple" rewards like enemy drops, exp books, enhancement ore, mora or even 4-star weapons (once) at the end of each floor. Without timelimit and special rewards you wouldn't have this anxiety problem. Maybe give it even a endless mode: "just select 4 chars - no healing items or rooms - go until every unit is down" and boom content for months.
