Kaeya is also a great battery in freeze teams since he generates extra energy on frozen enemies.
Not even that dependent on constellations. Been maining him since I started in February 2021, but kinda sent him off to rest in 2022, although I'd still get him out and play every now and then, while slowly rebuilding him from physical to cryo. No energy problems whatsoever, especially since it's his ascension stat, not much of a battery since he's the on-field guy even now as a reverse melter due to his NAs still doing more damage than my Bennett, Kazuha or Xiangling (which is the team I used for my 9* floor 12 this time around). He's C1, been that way for about half a year (got him from standard, since I don't save up Starglitter - although trying now for C2), and even at C0 he was a very nice character.
I heavily disagree with him being Jack of all trades and master at none though. That spot, in my opinion, is reserved for Noelle. I know many people enjoy both her and her playstyle but her split scaling and lack of energy generation make her a really bad character for the novice banner. When I started out, she did way less damage than my Kaeya, had an incredibly weak shield that would break very easily (I also didn't know you could dodge at first, haha), was very confusing to build. Oh the joy of getting Zhongli in 1.5 😂 only tried to build Noelle way later, when I already had a solid build on Itto, only to still not enjoy her gameplay or damage. And with Kaeya... Every time I put him on the team I almost go back in time to just starting the game, when he was the most straightforward character to build, play with as an on-field DPS and just enjoy

He has always been my second cryo for my Ayaka freeze team, I never even considered wishing for Shenhe since my team using Kaeya easily clears content.

I'd honestly say she's better then yoimia thanks to range, she can throw her fire pretty far and they track opponents. All an enemy at range has to do is move sideways
A character that I think is properly rated but might as well be underrated is Itto. His damage is consistent and his cooldowns aren't too long unlike some characters. The only thing hard about Itto is maintaining his ult uptime, and if you do, you're good. Not to mention Mono Geo still shreds through Abyss floors to this day.
The only thing itto lacks of is the ER, easily solved in geo monoteam

@@teernage6715 I'm a Noelle main and Itto is more focused on dps. He is supposed to be the main geo melee dps in a mono geo team . Noelle tho is really worth it once she reached c6 (and redhorn)
@@teernage6715 I'm tempted to get Itto, but Noelle has already been raised for ages now, so I'll just pull Redhorn for her rather than Itto to not have any overlapping/powercrept units. She still clears Floor 12 with R5 Whiteblind on Mono Geo anyways if I ever want to clear content with her.
Yanfei is genuinely a strong 4 star dps and so is heizou and ningguang but at the end they are just 4 star dps hence they have scaling to match their 4 star status, it's not that they are bad we just have better options in almost all 5 star dps.
At least ningguang and heizou can also work as a quick swap dps yanfei is designed to only play as an on fielder
Heizou isn't a DPS, he's a driver. Ningguang are Yanfei are the only "true" 4 star DPS nowadays, Razor could be considered one in Thundering Furry but I'm not 100% sure
@@killingtime8652 but Yanfei can be built for shielding and healing (with her C4 and prototype amber)
So she ends up being more versatile (if you don’t have access to certain 5 star supports)

FINALLY KAEYA MAINS ARE GETTING SOME RECOGNITION!!
kaeya is so versatile and a freeze team with him carried me through all of early game. he's my first triple crown and nowadays, when i can just do whatever i want and have fun, i play him as a physical on field. and he has one of the highest NA multipliers in the entire game!! more ppl need to realize how great he is as a unit ngl

Since I got Yelan, I have been playing Yoimiya more and I started to realise her potential. She can easily demolish bosses. She helps me a lot in farming for Tighnari
Same... add in some Electro for Yelan/Yoimiya fun.

@@ironheadedDoF As a Yoimiya main since day one I actually don't recommend that unless Yelan is C2, because Yelan's hydro application isn't that high, it can happen that the electro take away the hydro on the enemy, making you miss the vaporize.

Honestly, when I got both yelan and Zhongli my Yoimiya was still trash, so shes benched now alongside Zhongli on who I wasted my primos on scince I simply don't use him in any other teams
one of my favorite things about yanfei is how smooth she is to play since you can start her charged attack before her third normal even hits the enemy, and she has a very long range.
If i get around to using Yanfei i was thinking of overload team, how do you play her ?
@@sesshonuyasha she actually works nicely in overload teams because shes unaffected if the opponents get knocked away so i paired her with fischl often while i was making my way through the game, so raiden, yae miko, beidou, will work as well. of course she also works like other pyro dps like diluc, hu tao, and yoimiya, and loves to have xingqiu/yelan (or both) on the team for reverse vape since she is constantly normal attacking. for anemo supports, i enjoy venti or sucrose because you can make use of her range and hit enemies in venti’s ult, and save kazuha for melee units since his crowd control brings enemies to your character. melt works too! use characters with consistent cryo application, but for that you’ll probably want two cryo characters, like burst support ganyu, layla, diona, and rosaria. mono pyro is good because its xiangling + bennett and an anemo character so you cant really go wrong. she’s also pretty squishy esp if you dont have her c4, so she enjoys a good shield, zhongli, layla, diona, thoma.
i was lucky enough to get skyward atlas not long after i started, but she likes any damage oriented weapon.
her best artifacts are going to be crimson witch of flames or wanderer’s troupe, but she works just fine on 2pc 2pc, either crimson witch, atk%, or em. i use her on 2pc crimson 2pc wanderers because its what i have.

Yoimiya is strong af. If Hu Tao didn't exist, if feel Yoimiya would be the one to set the bar for pyro dps. My only complaint is that she cannot trigger her own burst. At least it can vape leftover Xingqiu's or Yelan coordinated attacks

@@bowiemeow Vars says it in the video, but basically she marks an enemy and the mark deals pyro damage only when said enemy is hit by other party members, not by her
She is strong, but she is SO dependent on zhongli... I completely stopped playing her after like, 3 months since she is way too easy to play (hard to play is different than frustrating btw, she is REALLY frustrating without zhongli, but not necessarily "hard" in the rewarding way) for my style, with shields she's easy, without she's frustrating.
Lets be honest, the bar for pyro dps is set by xianling, Hu tao and yoimiya are cool alternatives unless you go hard whale

Special Mention for Diona, because she is one of the few characters that is 90% guaranteed to trigger Fav Bow even if you have a Crit Rate of 30%. Yes, I did the math for probability for her.
Just wanted to point out that in relation to Kaeya, Kuki’s release made him such a good physical dps as well bc of superconduct. I slapped some pale flame and bloodstained I had laying around with an aquila that was unused and the man just shreds things
Yoimiya is very F2P/low spender friendly. Giving her a R5 Slingshot can actually output some pretty insane damage. Her cons overall aren't great, but none of them feel required like how Hu Tao's C1 feels like it should be a standard passive and makes for a singnifcantly clunkier playstyle if you don't have it.

@@Icysted The jump-cancelling is pretty awkward, especially on less powerful hardware
mona dps is SO underrated. Her NA can hit targets from range, her charged attacks can hit really hard, her burst is CRAZY for nukes, and her E can attract the nearby mobs to it. The ER passive is also really good, combined with Emblem and she is going to hit HARD.

Unfortunately she experiences the Eula Problem: One big number but her other numbers are trash. After you use Mona's burst you wont be killing anything until her burst comes back. You also can only use her charge attacks 4 times before needing to recharge stamina.
The major problem with Mona isn't her damage or her support kit. Her DPS on field when run as a charge attack carry is insane, and the burst gives a ridiculous amount of damage buffs to your team if you can maintain Omen (it's actually the reason Morgana works so well, Venti's Hydro absorption and Ganyu's Celestial Shower provide insane amounts of elemental application which can chain freeze opponents for the full 13s Omen duration).
No, the problem with Mona is her energy concerns. Her only means of generating energy outside of HP particles is her skill (no her dash passive won't generate particles), and it only generates after it explodes which usually happens 4s *after* leaving the field to cycle supports, which means she's only getting 60% of her own energy. Those combined means that - in addition to her ER ascension stat - you likely need Fav Codex, 4P Emblem, and an ER sands just to burst every rotation, which amounts to a little over 240% ER. Thankfully she can offset it a bit with her A4 passive (which when combined with 4P Emblem becomes a total damage bonus to her burst of 112.4%, 49.9% from her A4 passive and 62.4% from Emblem), making stacking damage stats in a support build not that bad. However, it cuts it close to the 300% soft cap of Emblem which can be of concern to many players.
@@kazekori9593 That changes with C2 as it can cast free charged attack while normal attacking. I play her as a driver in a teaser team with Fischl and Beidou and it works surprisingly well.

Small correction... Kaeya's C2 doesn't provide (up to) an additional 15s of duration, but rather it extends the base duration up to a total of 15s. This still allows for 100% uptime of his burst assuming you're consistently defeating enemies while his burst is up.
I've had Yoimiya and loved her ever since her banner first came out, which was on my birth month. Something just clicked with me when I saw her. I use her a majority of the time alongside Yelan, Xingqiu, and Zhongli (or Raiden). She's just amazing, to me.
One character who people talked about a lot when he came out but now doesn’t get mentioned much is Ayato.
He’s still a very strong dps and can be run in a lot of teams, but people just don’t talk about him much in the context of gameplay and damage, which is a shame since he does a lot
idts, he's been popping off with bloom teams in general. He isn't exactly in the spotlight like say kuki but is still a very prominent character overall
i think ayato is just a very good example of a very well balanced character. he does great damage and is pretty versatile but doesn’t have incredibly high numbers. if you like him you can pull for him and clear everything the game has but if you don’t you won’t feel like you’re „missing out“
he's strong asf with dendro's introduction.
Ayato is a pretty well received unit especially when Dendro coming out. During his initial release people trash him because Childe is a better option for National. While that's true Ayato shines more in Taser, and also with the addition of Hyperbloom teams Ayato shines even more. Yes Childe is also viable in HB comps but he requires more skill to manage his cooldown
I think with Ayato the reason he’s not talked about much is because he just works. There’s no tricky mechanics to discuss, he’s not strict with rotations or energy management, works with a lot of weapons and artifacts. He’s just so unproblematic there’s nothing to talk about much. A very reliable man who doesn’t steal the spotlight
Thank you so much for including Yoimiya. Despite her unitarget kit, she's as good as Hu Tao and other Pyro unit if she's built properly (like any other character). Her timing should be better, because what's the point of including her with Kazuha, Nahida and probably other Archons. Make it make sense Hoyoverse!
Proud 74/200 C2 R1 Yoimiya haver (on complete accident)! She's really great and her best set is in a popular domain - and her burst can be popped by Xingqiu and Beidou. She'd be crazy popular if her banners were better timed.
If she was popular, people would pull her instead on the other banner characters

Ah yes, Jean. I remember back in the days when everyone tried to pull for her because ppl wanted her cleansing abilities for the abyss. The struggles to clear floor 5-8 were real back then..
Side note; might be a personal opinion I think the idea of underrated tends to change overtime, so perhaps videos w these kinds of topics should let the audience know which update the info being presented is from (ex. 3.5 part 1 or smith) maybs in the description.
Yanfei is great, just annoying without constellations since you need a shield considering how squishy she is and her stamina going towards charged attacks instead of dodging. C0 vs C6 not only damage but quality of life is actually an insane difference and a majority of players will use her at C0 then never again due to the downsides such that even if they eventually got constellations, the opinion of her is already set in stone and they wont even bother trying her out again.
Also on the note about Shenhe, if we ever get a cryo yoimiya, or a cryo catalyst normal attacking dps? Her C6 will be absolutely fucking bonkers.
I still use yoimiya in the abyss, she just melts bosses, shes an amazing unit
Something that I find really funny about Yoimiya being underrated is that it seems like most of her current detractors are still stuck in how she was on release.
Because during the course of the Inazuma patches, Yoi was just lurking in the background and collecting buffs, namely Yun Jin and Yelan. The former is so good for her that she can very nearly outdo Bennett in some scenarios, and the latter is fantastic because having two XQs mean that she no longer has the issue of hogging all of the characters other characters want. (Just some of them)
In my opinion Yoimiya isn't the problem. It's her Supports. Yelan is literally perfect for her. But Bennet, XQ and Yunjin are really meh with her and still the best options and maybe Zhonghli. Thoma sadly is joinking the Vaporizes. Also you forgot about Ayatos Set, she can use it as well.
I'd definitely say Sayu is the most underrated character. In a game where 90% of the content takes place in the overworld, Sayu is an invaluable asset on any team. Anemo resonance, healing, traversal over flat areas, etc. Since EM isn't as useful in the overworld you can slap on ER/ATK/Healing Bonus with fav and VV and you have Genshin's equivalent of a swiss army knife for the open world.
Jean helps alot in teams I didn't expect her to do well in! Hu tao, Raiden, or any other main dps focused team (I know hutao wants to be low but if you dont have a shield built, any burst healer is amazing especially in this current abyss) because if you have a shred of er on her your burst is up by the time the cooldown is over, she has a short-ish cooldown on E so more vv procs and if you are (un)fortunate enough to have c2 that's just a big QoL upgrade for your main dps character (then again take this all with a grain of salt, because I'm most def biased since I lost too many 50/50s to her and got her skin too sooooo 🤷♂)
If everything goes the way it has, Yoimiya's next rerun will be between some new mind-blowing character from Sumeru & the release of Fontaine.
i love using yoimiya and raiden shogun on a team as a double sub dps comp...its interesting how both their kits fit perfectly in a jigsaw with one another... shogun's active works offfield while yoi's works onfield and yoi's ult works offfield while shogun's works onfield

I think albedo is pretty underrated as well the 125 em buff, consistent DPS, and support shields from crystallise that add a tiny layer of protection is pretty amazing
I am a Ganyu enjoyer that would have loved to have Albedo for his elevator so she finally has a sniper perch
I use Beidou and Yoimiya in the same team, Yoimiya's range is the best thing ever happened to overload, and Bei covers her in multitarget, making this team more flexible. It's fun when you stay in place and everything dies.
Definitely enjoyed the video, a part 2 would be very interesting since they'll give more explanations to how other characters are designed:D

Definitely wanna see a episode 2 heizou has been one of my absolute favourite characters in the entire game including the 5 stars, hes really fun and quite good at what he does too maybe not the best tho
Lisa is also a decent character that people underrate a lot- can be used in Hyperbloom, aggravate and as a support because of that enemy DEF shred
I also feel like mentioning that a dps beidou is really fun with aggravate, mainly because of her c4 that gives her normal attacks electro infusion when she gets hit, this is usually negligible but you’d be surprised with how much damage it can deal with aggravate. There’s also another little bonus to her c4, because it scales off of her normal attack damage, you can increase the damage of the electro infusion with both physical buffers like rosaria or mika and deal extra damage with aggravate, leading to some very interesting teams (cryo and dendro also don’t react so an enemy can have them both applied at the same time and both reactions can be done all at once, it’s pretty cool).
Yoimia is unique in so far as she works like a sort of "on-field DPS/ support" pendulum:
You swap in, use her elemental skill, kick enemies in the nuts for 10 seconds then use her burst before swapping out to another on-field or an off-DPS like Raiden.
Her ascension passives further encourage this play style as the first one gives you a stacking pyro dmg buff with every attack while her skill is active, while the 2nd passive gives the rest of the party an ATK% buff based on how many stacks of her first passive you had when you clicked her burst.
I think people were disappointed in her because they tried to play her as a classic on-field DPS that dumps all her tools at once on top of enemies for beeg deek deeps, but she doesn't quite work like that.

I don't understand why people STILL think Yoimiya's burst is useless because she can't trigger it herself. You'll likely run Yoimiya with someone who can do off-field damage and this character will trigger her burst while Yoimiya is still on the field
Her burst still does little damage and her buff is small.

@@lstsoul4376 her burst may not be the strongest but I saw 10-30k ticks in different situations. Major of her damage comes from NA but these burst ticks are nice addition to overall damage

I learned something interesting about the focus of your videos when I was watching Vars III: gameplay strategy & utility seems to be your core focus. Shunning echo fighters(or even similar characters from other series) for not changing up how the original character plays is a pretty unique hot take. In short, not much for style points huh?
tbh i feel like yoimiya is a perfect play style for me (probably why i main her but anyways)
i really love the feel of characters who uses a skill to power up their normal attacks/make them stronger, exactly what yoimiya does. and i’ve never really liked elemental bursts because i don’t like having to collect particles to get a huge nuke, because i’ve found an issue with it. when you’re doing a boss or strong enemy, sure it’s fine. when you’re doing an easy enemy, just use normal attacks. but what if it’s somewhere in the middle? you don’t wanna waste your burst but don’t want to spend ages just pecking at it with normal attacks. idk. but it’s cool not having to rely on bursts for damage. feel free to share your opinion if you want
I think that in the case of Kaeya not being used a big portion of that issue has a name, and that name is Rosaria
They dont overlap too much. People also dont use rosaria.
He doesnt get much use because he is free.
I have yoimiya and ever since I got her to do 70K NAs, shes been my fave. Her full skill string of NA could total to up to 400K in damage and thats not even counting the Sub DPSs that I have with her. She’s insane!

As a Kaeya main, it feels so good to hear someone agree that he is underrated! I personally use him in a reverse melt team with x6 xiangling, c3 bennett, and c2 kazuha with mistplitter but that is just cause I am a simp and I like to see him do big numbers. I can't wait to get c6 bennett so Kaeya can get all the mistsplitter stacks~
Btw my Kaeya is c4. I'm so mad I wasn't playing at launch and missed one of his constellations!! And the game hates me and has never given me a single Kaeya on standard (but I have c5 amber from standard....).
I like using Beidou in nahida Hyperbloom as a sub DPS, i take advantage of the fact she doesnt procc hyperbloom with her burst. So Nahida, Xingqui(or Yelan), Beidou and Kuki. I find it really fun
Is the production of blooms okay with Beidou? Doesn't she interrupt the reaction with her application of electro?

Beidou can aggravate while Kuki does hyperblooms, the extra electro doesnt mess up the reactions at all!
Nahida has strong dendro application anyways, and it often erases both the electro and hydro off the enemy, but keeps the quicken aura, so you are able to aggravate, spread and hyperbloom
Thus the team can be called Quickbloom
kaeya is such a great character he's so slept on for no reason. he does okay as a dps and even better as a support, i use him with hu tao for melts and it does great fr

Pretty sure kaeya or rly none of the off field cryo characters can keep up with hu tao’s pyro application

I really do believe Yoimiya is criminally underrated. I probly would have her already had she not had her re-run banners happen alongside EVERY character I needed… I plan on getting her hopefully during her next re-run.
Also, as someone who doesn’t enjoy playing many current meta characters, I’d love to see a Part 2 from you!
Yanfei and Yoimiya are my main DPS on two separate teams. i love them both so much and their play styles work well for me!

I love using both Beidou and Jean
The team I run at the moment, for general content is anemo traveler, Diona, Yanfei, and either Chongyun or Rosaria for lots of melt reactions.
After a burst session from Yanfei, Traveler has 4pc VV with an anemo goblet, and a crit dmg circlet, which does surprisingly high numbers with his elemental skill. I have him using R5 black sword for the crit rate, since PJC is typically on someone else for SA.
But he's used after Yanfei is done with her melt spree. Yanfei can do ridiculous sustained damage if she has a shield, so she's paired with Diona's shield and her own shield from her burst. It's quite a good team, tbh.
One recent character I feel is very underrated is Layla, at equal constellations her shield is tankier than Dionas so she makes up for the lack of healing, and unlike Diona she can use the Tenacity of the Millelith set, being arguably a pretty good user of it. She can slot in in any situation you want to use Zhongli for shielding, and in teams where there is a strong Hydro aura (for example, Hu Tao double Hydro), she can provide some minor CC with her freezing the enemies. People just don't use her because Zhongli exists and his kit provides more utility but Layla isn't a bad pick at all
As someone with a C3 Layla and no Zhongli, I love my sleepy frost girl. Yes add Layla to the "Underrated Part 2" video.
So fun fact: The only 2 things Zhongli has over Layla is higher personal damage and RES shred. Other than that, Layla is either comparable (their shields are of almost equal strength, and she also has a low cost burst and 100% shield uptime), or SUPERIOR to Zhongli in several aspects (Her Tenacity support is not locked to a totem so you don't have to play Circle Impact, she can apply a lot of Cryo for reaction potential particularly for Freeze, Melt, and Superconduct, she gives a damage buff to your on field carry at C4, and she has lower ER needs than Zhongli since with her burst up her C2 can regenerate half her burst on its own *before applying the energy gen from her stars* ).
yeah this is what i like about Layla. she's Zhongli before you get Zhongli and she can help you put Zhongli in another team if necessary. and because she's Cryo, she can help in some teams better than Zhongli can. probably the best 4 star shielder in the games. Diona felt more like a Healer more than a true shielder and her shield has a inconsistent duration. Thoma does have a stronger shield(if stacked correctly) he's honestly more of a burgeon trigger now even if he wan't supposed to be designed that way. if i had one gripe about layla though. is that some of her support capabilities are locked behind cons especially C4.

Fav Sword and 3x HP 4P Tenacity with some crit in subs, and she's set before C2. All C2 does is let her move to [insert support sword here] for added utility, since her ER needs basically vaporize. Everything after C2 is just added gravy.

People who have never played Yoimiya never saw how quickly she beats thundering manifestation when put in a team with Qingxu, Yelan and nahida (I think my record was about 20-30 seconds?)

she defo brings a lot but her kit kinda feels counter intuitive, she gets an aimed shot time decrease which makes no sense cuz she isn't a DPS and doesn't need them in general, shields are very good to have and make life easy but in freeze comps you don't need them and she is mostly used there, same for the EM boost(unless you play reverse melt). Very good chara no doubt just a few things dont make sense

I don't think she's underrated, if anything I would Say she's a bit overrated. First, in most teams you slot her in (freeze or Eula), don't benefict at all from her em bonus. You can tecnically slot her in Quicken teams, but why would you use her over more offensive options like Kazuha or Venti, or characters with Better utility like Sucrose, Nahida or even Zhongli. I would Say the team that takes the most advantage of her c6 Is Hyperfridge (Hyperbloom + Freeze), but since the majority of your damage Is coming from Hyperbloom, you Need to onfield your Hyperbloom trigger to make use of her c6.
Second, her shield sucks and if we don't count Xinyan, she's probably the worst shielder in the game when compared to other shielders like Zhongli, Thoma and her competitor Layla. And while yes, she also does offer some healing, as I said, most team in which you slot Diona other don't Need that much healing and would benefict from more offensive options (Freeze), or have Better alternatives (Kokomi, Zhongli, Bennett).
Don't get me wrong tho. I'm not saying she's a bad a character and I would still put her in A. I Just think some parts of her kit tent to be overstimated by the community.

Even in eula teams dori is just better than her.

Idk why people complain on yoimiya's burst so much, because as much as I am aware, you are gonna use off fiield dps when using her, both in vaporize or mono pyro. Or does the burst can only be activated by other characters on field ?

Its a shame not many people play Beidou especially in the current abyss where the second half of floor 12 is all multiple opponents(Used her myself to 36 star this abyss). I think she is one of if not the most meta underrated unit(since she is literally somewhere around an S tier unit depending on how you split your tier lists). What holds her back is how much the community takes energy "requirements" at face value without ever actually understanding where the energy recharge numbers TCs tell you are derived from, which cause a bunch of people to be hesitant to play her. In reality since she is supposed to be used with another electro character and against multiple opponents, her ER issues don't actually exist due to how many particles wind up being generated. She is like Xiangling except Beidou actually has a strong elemental skill that generates particles and instead of being dependent on a single character(Bennett), the electro character you pair with Beidou can be pretty much anyone.
I use Beidou with Raiden Nahida and Barbara in abyss it's fun ! And her burst is unlimited

I have C2 kaeya and play yoimiya and i gotta say i agree part of the reason i hate Hutao is that she powercreeps Diluc and Yoimiya cuz being hoyo's fav CN wifu and unable to fully compete at equal investment with hutao. As for kaeya i actually play him as cryo carry with chongus and im having fun with C2
Amazing top 5, I couldn’t agree more. There are a couple more characters that are absolutely amazing and underrated but if I were to pick 5 I would have chosen exactly the same. Maybe the most controversial one would be Beidou but it’s true that she sees way less playtime these days. Another one I feel it’s recently being left in the closet is ayato. He’s so fun and comfy.

Jean is so great for a healer & battery slot. I never noticed the lack of absorption til the Jean video but it makes sense why something felt missing. I also don't like the crowd control method she has, but I do like blasting people off ledges where applicable. Like back during the first Golden Apple Archipelago I'd play her and sucrose charged attack to throw enemies off the ledges of the little wooden towers and into the water. Talk about niche lol, but it was fun.
Another nice use for Yoimiya's burst is to break sheilds!
As a Kaeya main (debatably second after Xiao), this puts a tear to my eye.
(EDIT: You'd be surprised at how many repeat copies someone can get even as a day 1 player. I still don't have a complete set of the 5 original Standard Banner characters despite getting C6 for 2 of them).

I feel like Beidou is kind of a weird inclusion in this list, and so is the suggestion that she’s worthy of a “why no one plays”. You mentioned that Beidou is in the best Taser team and is good in Aggravate, but Beidou is also a member of the best “all purpose” Hyperbloom team (Ayato, Beidou, Nahida, Raiden/Kuki). This team consolidates for AoE incredibly well, and can still succeed in single target incredibly easily simply because Hyperbloom’s damage will clear anything if you have enough application (which this team can do). Beidou is also a necessity for this team as she provides the only defensive utility if you’re running Shogun, provides quicken application in order to maximize seeds without triggering any of them, and gives Ayato permanent uptime on his skill in AoE (this team runs TF Ayato and it isn’t a meme I promise).
her Burst is her main saving grace, providing protection/damage mitigation as well as dealing out Electro damage in return. but her E is reliant on timing to get the best utility out of and that can be tricky for mobile users and even on PC (as well as those awkward moments when the enemies don't come at you and you're just standing there begging for them to hit you as you hold E). Compare this to Yun Jin's E, which as a tap and hold version that does pretty much almost the same thing without disrupting the flow of combat and makes her near invulnerable during that sequence.
Don't get me wrong, I adore Beidou and she carried me for a good part of my early journey and still enjoy having her slap back enemies with a well timed E release.
@@ChenAnPin I actually play the team I described on Mobile, and while lining up Beidou’s E is relevant, it’s not completely make or break (compared to something like Hu Tao’s cancels) since the only thing it really effects in the team is energy, and Electro Resonance does a lot of work for energy generation. On top of that, learning attack patterns in order to guarantee Beidou E is a lot easier to pull off on mobile than the aforementioned Hu Tao cancels. I think if Hu Tao is to be considered one of the best characters in the game (though personally I think even if you assumed everyone could play her optimally she’s a little overrated), Beidou shouldn’t be dismissed just because of 1 slightly janky mechanic that can be alleviated by skill or just by compensating energy generation.
One problem about yoimiya is that there are a lot of misconceptions about her teams. People will tell you the philosophy of the teams but they will never compare the dps. Although people recommend vaporise yoimiya for f2p players, monopyro (w xiangling) and overloaded comps deal so much more damage.
Vape is the best imo but monopyro is great to play and you dont have the requirement to finish the whole attack pattern but i dont think it is better than vape either and I also highly doubt overload is better. I personally play yoimiya a lot and vape really is super strong with the 3Y team (yoi-yelan-yunjin-zhongli) and i can 36 star with it
@@celine5358 Yeah you are right with Zhongli and Yelan vaporise pulls ahead A LOT. I just wanted to point that xinqiu and noelle comp is advertised as the best f2p team although it sucks. Also in overloaded I wanted to point out the team rather than the reaction. Beidou and Fischl are not only very easy to get, they also have very good synergy with yoimiya ( although I have not tested it an overvape with beidou and xinqiu might be better than the teams above ). I have a question: From my calculations a c5 bennet and c6 yunjin buff the same and c6 bennet pulls ahead. Does your yunjin hold favonius for yelan or do you use bennet in the second half ?
@@efeozdemir412 i dont have bennett in second half, she holds fav my bennett is fully invested tho with aquila favonia, c5 crowned burst but i’d rather use yun jin because firstly i love her!! she is also c6 and the atk speed is rlly fun to see, the geo resistance is also nice. And the fact that you dont need to stay in the circle is also nice. For damage im not sure which is better though i havent tested to compare it side by side

As a Yoimiya haver since her first banner she has an unfortunate fate of being run next to insane character : Ayaka and Raiden, Kazuha, Nahida. If her banner wasn't put in with them, she would have a chance to compete in popularity with HuTao. Alas, primos are not infinite and ppl need to choose a better option for their account. She still is my most used Main Dps for 2 years, and with Dendro release she is actually very fun to run with Burgeon XDD

Yomiya was my first 5 star character. I beat the spiral abyss thanks to her. Truly the summer queen.
Among the characters mentioned, these are my personal reasons why I do/don't use them
Yanfei -- my Yanfei is c0 and I'd like to gain some more cons before building her
Yoimiya -- her playstyle is a bit boring for me, however her animations and personality is really good and I might pull her someday 😊 mainly for her insane range
Shenhe -- a bit too niche for me, I like to have some versatility in the characters I pull 😅 might pull her someday for Ayaka but I like Rosaria in my current freeze team and don't see a need for an upgrade
Kaeya -- I used Kaeya for many months as a new player until quite high AR until I got Ayaka (in her eternity banner). If I ever get a Kaeya con (I have terrible luck with starter banner cons as I've never got even one) I'll use him again
Beidou -- I'm still trying to decide how to play her, DPS or burst and shield support. She's C6 and I'll build her when I have the time 😊 I love her so much.
Jean -- I don't have a team to include her in right now, but I got her 1st con today itself and I'm thinking how to slot her in my teams now.
Her burst build is a off field dps bult, she is far of be a support, especially in 2 target situations where she have the biggest MV% in the game
Me agree with your points, i use yoimiya for almost everything but i cannot say i recommend pulling for her since single target and also hu tao is a thing, also for beidou and jean, beidou is off field support so get her with the usual atk% or er sands, electro dmg bonus goblet and crit circlet on the emblem set and use her for electro charged teams or something, and jean can be used with the viridescent venerer artifact set in any team that uses hydro, electro, pyro, cryo elements and requires a healer, i use her with bennett for sunfire and in eula team for more team dmg in general.
C6 Beidou is a BEAST, everytime i hear her cry out those skill/burst voice lines with the tense/dramatic abyss music in the background - I know i am saved. If you have good and leveled Emblem/Thund Fury pieces, Claymores, and her buddies XQ, Child, Fisc, Yoim = the Universe is compelling you to do it !

jean carried me all along till around AR55 and i remember seeing tuonto play her for the first time and maximize my gals dps . i will visit her back. and beidou counter is just so satisfying
Yanfei has the same problem as Dilluc: She is good, but the competion she has to face is not a joke.
Yoimiya, honestly, i don't understand why she is so underrated. She can compete with Hu Tao. And Jean is so flexible ( i am actually building a hybrid capable to fight anywhere).
Yoimiya got a bad rep initially because flying bosses literally didn’t exist when she debuted, and the only flying mob we had were anemo slimes (who don’t even fly all the time). At that stage of game she was, by all accounts, a strictly worse sidegrade to Hu Tao, because her numbers were not better than Tao AND she was restricted to single target. Of course she got lots more relevant since Thunder Manifestation, Wolflord, specters, etc appeared, but the initial wave of trash talking had a lasting damage to her reputation.

I bit the bullet on the last Yoimiya banner on my second server, which has now become my main server, and boy do I not regret pulling her, she's so strong! And she only has like 80% crit damage still!
I like this. I think a 4 star exclusive version would be cool. That way you could include c6s since it's not unreasonable to have some for long time players.

Yoimiya is fine and honestly I would really like to have her. I enjoy her playstyle. But her banners... Jesus they where either really bad for me or at the wrong time.
I'm not going to invest in a completely optional unit when there is a new Archon around the corner and I'm not wishing on a banner if I have all 4* at C6...
I use Shenhe all the time in my Ayaka team. She is awesome. But it is true if you do not use a cryo hypercarry you have little use for her.

I just got to try Yoimiya and I need to have her now, she was so much fun and hit some crazy numbers with my bennet/xingqui support setup. I also have R5 rust so its basically perfect, I must have her
I feel like Nilou is a very underrated character.After her release she just kind of went in the background and anyone talking about her is pretty rare.Shes is insanely f2p friendly and needs almost no investment compared to the other 5 starts.Her team options are also good with new dendro characters like Yaoyao being released.She is definitely going to have more options in the future with the release if Baizhu and Kaveh.Her main complaint is the fact that her team slots are restricted to dendro and hydro but she performs insanely well in that niche.Moreover she is pretty decent in vape teams hitting respectable numbers.
Most people probably just dont care about her cause she is such a nothing character in terms of personality.

Yanfei is amazing! especially once you unlock her c4, which makes her a little less squishy when playing her in co op without a C2 Diona or Zhongli. I've often soloed cryo domains with her because the other pyro DPS's died (Diluc, Yoimia and Hu Tao are the most likely candidates for this but Bennet often doesn't make it either). Don't sleep on her if you don't have a fav pyro unit yet.

Yanfei is also a favourite, would say she's my best pyro DPS though another character who's underrated is Noelle - she is reliant on you getting constellations for her but once you do just stack defense on her and if possible pair her with Gorou.
For me, I wouldn't say that Kaeya and Beidou are underrated. The people know that he can be strong, but he can't get attention because no one have his Constellations. In my "bubble", many people are using Beidou and know her strength.
Yoimiya is a literal queen idk why ppl say she's bad, She deserves better.
And i want her Rerun in maybe 3.6 or 3.7 because i got a good weapon for her which is skyward bow from standard banner.
Yoi is not bad but there's a better option. Let's be real, Hutao is way better than her. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Yoi main but I can't deny the truth that Yoi can't does more DMG than Hutao and Yoi's burst is technically useless.

@@kuronekosama6125 Tbh, some people calculate that C0 Yoimiya is pretty much the same or even better than hutao (both Solo/w hydro). Hutao is more comfortable/less shield depends and C1 Hutao is better than C5 Yoimiya.
One of my friend's who started really late is getting carried by their Kaya its amazing to see him built up.
I main Yoimiya a lot, and what’s funny is that people in CoOp would tell me my characters are strong but still consider Yoimiya as a bad pull or overall bad character 😅
