  • How might our world change if we viewed sacred sites as living ancestors? What can ancient sacred sites teach us about our relationship with nature? In what ways are we disconnected from our origins, and how can sacred sites help us reconnect?
We hear from Mindahi Bastida, an elder from Mexico, who has practiced and safeguarded the ancestral wisdom and philosophy of his peoples for many years. Since 1987. He has conducted ceremonies and timescales instructed by the council autonomy and Mexican elders from Central Mexico, and has shared and learned from the ancestral wisdoms of indigenous peoples around the world.

ABOUT EARTHRISE COLLECTIVE: The Earthrise Collective is a space for innovative, creative thinkers, activists, artists, healers, wisdom-holders, and visionaries to create new systems and ways of working, and to build new paradigms for the future. Their work is grounded in the Akan Twi and Fante Peoples’ idea of *Sankofa*: we draw from the wisdom of our ancestors as we chart our journey towards this future. Our activism embraces prayer and ritual and holds all of life sacred.
