CO2 and CH4 'emissions' are better than harmless, they are great for the planet making it easier for plants to grow in dry/cold/hot environments, which is good for us humans too! The unscientific myth that these emissions will create a catastrophic run away climate catastrophe is lies and nonsense. The way energy enters and leaves the planet is misrepresented deliberately due to political motives, and 'science' or rather scientists, institutions and publications are captured by big ESG wielding forces. The actual variability of the climate is governed by complex variations in input solar radiation, cloud cover, other albedo changes and changes in ocean and Atmospheric transport of heat. Even the amount of CO2 in the atmospherebis rather an effect of changing earth temperature rather than THE cause. CO2 circulates between the atmosphere, being disolved in the oceans, being in living creatures and soils and in rocks. The rate at which the biosphere, oceans and soils can switch from being a mega absorber to mega emitter of carbon dioxide is off the scale compared with human emissions. All other things being equal the atmospheric residence time of co2 would be a few decades before increased absorption would suck it up. Not hundreds of years. Further the capacity of increased co2 to 'capture' extra heat is not that large. The atmospheric windows to outgoing IR are already saturated in CO2 wavelengths. This stupid climate change story is used to justify taking our productive industrial and agricultural capacity back to what it was before the industrial revolution. This will kill lots of people in a horrendous way.

The government is ACTUALLY driving degrowth with their Net Zero policies which attack agriculture and replace cheap, reliable and affordable energy with expensive, unreliable, and environmentally destructive and unsustainable energy sources that require far too many resources to build and maintain. The net effect, spiralling inflation, loss of businesses and jobs, increased financial and social hardships for families and ever declining quality of life. I AM NOT FOR DEGROWTH. It's bad for humans and the environment.

There is enough food, clothe, shelter and resources to feed, clothe, and house every Human being on Mother Earth! That is unconditional al Love as a verb! We need the Village, the Tribe as one human family in action!

He should point out in future examples of the case of Cuba and their economy and the welfare of the population after the Soviet collapse and Cuba lost access to Russian oil. Cuba's GDP did decline but the people innovated and survived. Some even noted that the general health of the population increased as they had to rely on more walking and also better food as local agriculture, even in the cities, became very widespread.
