Talent is all over these two. No one can recreate their sound. Notes are held for just the right millisecond of time. Ellen has such unique syncopation that one must listen closely. It warms the heart to see such genuine love between father and daughter.

Hovak, you're a fantastic musician. I mean it. But as a father maybe you're even greater. Now, I am a 66 yo italian bassplayer and every time I watch Ellen playing, even the most complex lines with such nonchalance, my jaws drop and I don't know if it's because she is so confident at that age or for the pure technical skills she has... Bravo Hovak and bravissima Ellen... :)

There are no words for how much this touched me! It would be easy to say how beautiful the guitar was (just breathtaking), or the bass (equally stunning), or your playing (the synchronicity was spellbinding), but it was the love that floated between the two of you that took my breath away, the smiles, the sparkle in both of your eyes for each other, the magic that was just so apparent! It jumped right off the screen and into my heart...

Even if i'm a lazy dude who plays almost for 10 years but never took the time to practice on a purpose so my playing is nowhere near to your, i still want to be as cool as you in the future with my kids. When the demo part started my jaw dropped, you two are a great duo and your daughter plays really good. My heart melted.

Beautiful story and amazing guitar! Of course, the jam at the end is epic! Ellen has this little head tilt thing she does on certain notes as she looks towards the head stock. She did it twice in your last duet jam and again near the end of this one. It's fun to watch her body language since you can see she's really feeling the music and it's not at all forced.

First time watching this channel. When your daughter (i'm guessing) said "definitely not tuned" when you strummed the guitar after unboxing, I was kinda impressed. Like, hmh, good ear on such a young girl, must've picked up some stuff hearing her dad play. Then came the part of the video of her playing, and I was like "ooooooh".
Also, goes without saying, the guitar is absolutely incredible.
I love Ellen's braids. My own daughter had these 'plaited in' a few years ago. Takes a long time, and you have to sit still for hours having your hair pulled. Brave girl!

Hello from San Antonio, Texas. Hovak, you're the first person I ever heard call it a "wommy" bar, instead of a "whammy" bar ha ha! The guitar, and your playing are amazing. And Ellen's mini-bass - what a cool idea. I say this as a guitarmaker & customizer who has done some unusual cool projects too. I've even had one or two Mayones instruments in my San Diego shop and worked with them via email in correcting a minor technical problem. Very nice instruments and you are right, they were great to work with.. Looking forward to anything you two do, especially together.

Whenever I am assembling something and I tell people "those are spare parts everyone and myself get very nervous. I am speechless to even try to formulate superlatives to describe this guitar. I would like a drum set with artistic design by Odo. Hovac and Ellen's performance is the cherry on top of this video.
