I am in no way criticizing your technique, I think every shooter has his or her own individual style and technique when manipulating their firearm. Reason I posted is also about the magazine that hung up. When I feel that the mag is empty (or I have had a malfunction) I tilt the rifle while still in my shoulder and check the chamber. I do this for one making sure I don't have a malfunction and two I somewhat use it as momentum so after I have verified the mag is empty I swing the rifle the opposite direction while releasing the mag and bringing the rifle into my workspace simultaneously, it kind of tosses it out of the magwell. Being an amazing instructor I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about and have probably done it yourself. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the technique.
Doesn't work with the dirty mag. For competition shootin - might be working. For combat shooting I would rather strip the empty magazine deliberately than rely on kung-fu technique. That makes you confident how your reload is going.
Great respect for sharing your mistakes.
