Some people hate 80s fashion, but they only focus on casual fashion and completely forget about the 80s high fashion that was absolutely amazing, it looked glamorous elegant, formal, and futuristic, in my opinion 80s is one of the best decades in terms of high fashion
My favourite styles from the 80s is the New Romantic look, and the Miami Vice look, I still roll my jackets up on the sleeves and I'm female lol. All those sharp pastel colours and elegant Italian styling. The loud patterned shirts and neons we can do without lol😂
Some of the more understated, less “fashion forward” suits made in the 80s are still wearable today. More likely to be made in first world countries too
😆🤣 Well. That was a blast from the past! How cool and stylish everyone thought they were too. A couple of my friends went for the more extreme looks and we thought they looked pretty funny even back then.
Sonny Crockett. Dressing like Uncle Jed from the 60's. Burn Notice had a good style. Im not much on Ties but i do like a nice mock turtleneck and sport jacket. Black jeans and cowboy boots.
I actually have 2 suits, either from the early 80s or late 70s that used to belong to my Grandpa. They have some really interesting patterns on them, like subtle blue and green checks, or red, green, and blue pinstripes.
Having lived it and remembering it. The worst crime was geometric knitwear. Rolled up suit sleeves, I can live with but I’m never going back to a sweater with interlocking triangles on it.
80s fashion is highly underrated!! And no not the corny stuff. The 90s high fashion also was great as well, as it seemed to have refined some of the bulkier looks of the 80s.
I rember the 80's pretty good also your photos... When "Miami Vice" came up, jee, that was really cool these days...... but when i see what you both wear i couldn't really recognize this time🤔
Bah hah hah hah! I completely forgot about those parachute pants with bold patterns, which I rocked as a freshman in high school. Probably popularized by MC Hammer, but dang, such memories.
I don’t mind 80s suits myself is very interested on that decade suit style it’s classic but modern in the same style and people can pull it off like the people in American psycho
I like 90's men's wear better. I still have a microfiber Façonnable jacket I bought at Neiman Marcus for $300, and an olive green silk classic cut suit I bought from some store called Structure.
Unless you are in a regular office setting, it doesn't make sense to have a full wardrobe of suits. One really well made suit that fits perfectly is all you will ever need, except if you are wanting to wear all black at a funeral. I've seen many a wealthy to poor man who never wore anything more than a comfortable Hawaiian beach shirt, safari cargo shorts and sailing deck shoes and every time I'd see them again, they'd be in a different design pattern and color scheme, but sporting the exact same garments. In the 1800s, you dressed to impress, in the 1900s you dressed to trend, but the 2000s, you dress for comfort. I'm almost convinced, that if humanity survives to the 2100s, that we'll all be dressed up looking like Luke Skywalker.

Absolutely! And not just for fashion.
It was the renaissance of the double-breasted suit!
I’m thinking Dynasty and the Colby’s
@@benvad9010 100% 🔥
Don’t forget the linen suits! ☝🏼
80's style was a huge improvement over the 70's.
Loved the business wear of the 80's and early 90's. The fluid lines and roomy fit were great and comfortable
The menswear on shows like ‘Dallas’ and ‘Dynasty’ were perfect.
80's men's business fashion was the best!
The Best was the 30's.

I love 80s jacket lapel sizes. Modern lapels are wayyyyy too thin
Some of the more understated, less “fashion forward” suits made in the 80s are still wearable today. More likely to be made in first world countries too
Me personally I like some 80's inspired streetwear with a modern twist.

Double breasted jackets are a great look!
Some of my favorite painters. Thanks Madonna.❤
Insert random shot of Nik Kershaw ... I chuckled.

The 30's fashion is better! THE BEST!
Are you going to do a full video on the 80's, like you did for the previous decades? Please say yes!
I love business wear and high fashion from 80s and early 90s...I'm crying because I don't find it anywhere, at least where I live.
Never expected to see Nik Kershaw in a Gentlemen’s gazette video
yeah same here with Koko B Ware and Owen Hart

I was also moved to tears (well watery eyes 😂) I haven’t heard the story in a while. I need to find a copy for my little nephews. ❤
Don’t forget the Miami Vice look. Don Johnson had men wearing pastel shirts with white suits!

Excellent video
still looks faboo, even when made bright
I much preferred that grey look before the bright one. 80s all the way but give me Miami Vice, Duran Duran, Adam Ant, Grace Jones.
Using Owen hart as a fashion example 😂😂😂
Impressive. Very nice. Let's see Paul Allen's 80's fashion review.
Please make a full video about it.
Classic fit is king.
Great suits
You know Kurt was messing with her referring to the doves as pigeons 😂
My dad had that exact mustache in the ’80s…
Dont you dare disrespect Owen Hart like this ever again.
The koko B. Ware pic 😂😂😂😂😂
I love the use of the Owen Hart and Koko pic haha! I see we’ve got a classic wrestling fan at the gazette
The '80s is underrated.
Does Koko B Ware know he made the dubious list here lol?
The picture of Owen Hart and Koko, that's a 90's picture.
Most of it was awful, unless you could pull off the 80s Hugo Boss look. 🔥🔥🔥
Yhose black and white patterned shirtsnin liek thebsecond slide were fire i dont care what anyone says.
I don’t mind 80s suits myself is very interested on that decade suit style it’s classic but modern in the same style and people can pull it off like the people in American psycho
I wore black in the 80s
80s were lit

Never know when that fashion cycle may come back! Now where did I leave my Z Cavaricci pants…? 🤔😂
Structure! Loved that store
I never liked the super wide lapel from this era
none of the jackets from that day aged well
Make clothing comfortable and functional.
Im sick and tired of fashion and garbage it creates.
It was Americans fashion, Italian cut was different. Even in early 2000 it was still tubular.
Will, do you?
Nothing more boring than a man’s suit. They are going to look pretty much the same a hundred years from now.
Keeps freezing
Twas’ the 80s everything was loud
Nik Kershaw
It’s a step above the awful 70’s fashion, but that’s a very low bar.
The 70’s was way more fashionable that the goofy 80’s 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Late 60s, the hippy look is my bete noir lol 😅
Some of them probably died of AIDs 😢
80s introudced large lapels, patterns and colours... If you incorporate all of that properly into an outfit, you're good to go

Awful... All of it awful
"If it isn't for safety, your clothes probably shouldn't be reflectively neon." That's where you and the 80s disagree 😅
80s is the worst decade of fashion and music
You guys are a bunch of historical reenactors.
Is this supposed to be an insult?
Miami Vice
