I have had this piano for 2 weeks and I love it. The touch and key action are both very good. The touch sensitivity and lightness are improved when compared to the CLP 685. It sounds beautiful with and without headphones, and the voices are very high quality with excellent sampling. If you are looking for a digital piano that is not a hybrid digital piano (they are $1000 to $7000 more), this is hard to beat. Within a few minutes of playing this instrument I completely forgot I was playing a digital piano and thoroughly enjoyed the playing experience. When it is all said and done, it is still a digital piano but it does a great job replicating a grand piano touch, sound, and playability. For the price, you get a great product.
What is the mechanism used for the key action? I've seen Yamaha digital pianos like this where they use a real grand piano action on the inside. Also, for velocity measurement, is it still mechanical rubber switches or do they used the 4 point laser system as you would find in the Yamaha silent series acoustic/digital pianos?
Are the sensor problems fixed in this generation of Clavinova? I cannot accept a product where i have to replace every year all rubber sensor contacts because it gets unplayable
Yamaha just fixed it out of warranty for free. All new electronics and rubbers. Worth 100$ materials and 600$ work. Thanks Yamaha see you in a year -_-
@@Drcfan it's crazy that they just don't use the 4 point laser system for measuring key velocity as they do on their silent series acoustic/digital pianos. My keys on my CLP are going but is many years out of warranty, let's see if Yamaha can do something for me.
It’s a Mozart sonata. Good choice for forte piano. Strange to have named one of these sounds after Chopin as his music is so much better on a modern piano.
I am not sure when would it be available in Europe as well (as I live in EU), but apparently it will be available on 29.10 (polished ebony) & 31.8 (other color models) according to a Japanese website (kakakumag.com/hobby/?id=15642). So I kinda expect the similar time-window for other regions. Another thing I really would like to know is price for CLP785. I am looking forward to it, seriously can't wait already.
As for me, this solution is much more successful and elegant than the solution of Kawai, where there is a stupidly large color screen, the interface of which is terribly slow, full of bugs and ill-conceived things, and the screen itself does not even turn off the backlight, which looks wretched while playing in low light. And that's already their second generation of top models, where they cannot solve this problem, but only promise firmware that will eliminate this obvious omission and flaw. Yamaha's solution is much more thoughtful.

How much did you get yours for?
YAMAHA : Clarinova 785
Digital : Gostei Muito !!!
Parabéns !!!!! Yamaha .

Thank-you for sharing. :)
Nice!
Are the Mozart and Chopin voices tuned in a classical temperament or are they also in equal tuning?

Is it possible to play VST form my Laptop through build in Yamaha CLP-785 speakers ?
0:48 I wonder what song it was playing with the Chopin piano... wonder why they don't play Chopin Waltz Op.64 No.2 or Op.69 No.2

actually I can't hear a difference to my 585.. is there any difference?
And when will be available in Mexico?
Same question. I need one and Yamaha Mexico does not have any info.

What is the music name of chopin in this video? Can anyone tell me?
Magnífico!
0:48 what is the name of the music? Can anyone tell me?
Mozart - Piano Sonata No. 11 in A major, K. 331 - I. Andante grazioso
@@ethanbarlow Very very thanks. I really love that part of this piano music but i don't know how to search it. Thank you that you replied.
What’s the cost & where can one buy it? I don’t seem to see any option online
You can get one on sweetwater for $6,599
💗
1:07 Does anyone know what this song is?
It's Robert Schumann's Fantasie in C Op. 17, Last (Third) Movement
What is the song at the beginning?
chopin nocturne op 27 no 2
Wasn’t able to hear a couple of base notes.. she touched it too softly and virtual hammer didn’t hit virtual string lol
So there is no strings, no hammers, what’s inside the case body? And where are the speakers?
The full front below the keyboard is a speaker

tha'ts a great piano but in here in israel they sell them for
7K usd... so that's way beyond what i would pay for something like that
Clavinovazooo
The first piece is by Liszt. Consolation, no. 3 I think.
Uauuu
a digital piano which doesn’t have any clue of digitalness.
I wish I'd never bought that piano ! many problems : keys fiability, ergonomy... and after-sales service !
@Dio Rex I''m just a customer who will never buy a yamaha again
What is keys fiability?
I can't even find one. They are new and the pandemic has delayed them.
@@CalLadyQED Don't make the same mistake as me !
that touchscreen is a joke, no improved functionality, same old UI, not colored
Why would you need color?
This is a „silent“ piano...
