I really enjoyed that demo. I knew nothing about the vast array of different models but now i know, I need the CSP series as I am just starting out. Thanks.
Excellent comparison! I wanted to start learning piano as a hobby and did not know which digital piano to purchase. This review was very informative. I was able to make an educated decision after that. Thanks again
Summary: All are weighted and 88 keys, high quality sound, USB/midi CLP- Closest to an acoustic piano action/feel CVP- Most entertaining, leans more towards professional, more sounds, has "arranger" built-in CSP- More student friendly, connects to ipad/phone for lessons, converts audio songs into scores
Thanks for the info. Does CVP includes all CSP learning features like light guide or turning songs into score? Do you recommend CVP model for learner too or CSP is better?
the csp I prefer its even better if you can get the CSP170 cos that has the weight and feel of ordinary piano keys and you fingers dont slide as much as they can do on plastic the CSP also has mic input as well as midi ,bluetooth ,and dual headphone sockets if you wanted to use that it is also a fully functional piano in its own right meaning you do not always need to use the app you do have a function button that you can use with key combinations if you couldn't use a iPad or tablet its streaming lights are brilliant so are its onboard lessons
I would like to report a situation that perhaps you at Alamo and some other users/members can help me with. I have a Yamaha CLP 685 piano, which I love, but I have a complaint that bothers me a lot: the sustain pedal is very hard and, despite the great keyboard, my foot gets tired sometimes. Is there any way to fix this problem? Perhaps a different spring or application of some type of lubricant. I've heard reports in some digital piano communities with this same complaint about the 685, but apparently no solution... Do you have any suggestions or solutions for this problem? thanks in advance
I got a friends Yamaha clavinova clap 152s and the pedal is intact BUT the cord that connects to the keyboard was cut at some point...how would I find and buy the correct replacement cord/connection for this piano pedal?
There is no comparison - The DGX is a portable keyboard, with XG midi sounds - not super articulated sounds like a clavinova - If you can buy it on Amazon it isnt the high quality stuff. a DGX 660 will run you $800. a CSP170 is around $4k.
I have the opportunity to buy a clp 155 for 100 bucks. it's at least 15 years old. I'm just a frequent 0layer at home, but I do want a half decent sound like on a real piano, reverb pedals and velocity sensitive (sorry, not english native, I hope you know what I mean). can the clp 155 provide that?
For those of you in a hurry:
3:08 - CLP Series
5:38 - CSP Series
8:08 - CVP Series
Without second thoughts I would opt Clavinova CVP 809. What a masterpiece by Yamaha.
Why not CVP 909? It is only $700 more to have the latest.😀
I really enjoyed that demo. I knew nothing about the vast array of different models but now i know, I need the CSP series as I am just starting out. Thanks.
The Yamaha Clavinova is awesome no matter what kind you choose. My choice would be the flagship model in the CLP series.
Do you think the P525 is as good as CLP?
@@snowwny It should be better than an x35. Only the x45 and up are better.
Undersold the CSP as it also has backing arranger via app.
Thanks for comparing pianos and your video!
Wholeheartedly Thankyou for making this video 💕💕💕💕💕 CVP top class 💕🙏🏻💕

Great video. This really helped me to understand the different models. Best regards
Good to know the differences between these lines.
The time stamps for csp cvp are flipped

What ?
Great video, thanks 👍 I believe the 170 has much better speaker set up than the 150. It also has wooden keys where the 150 does not.
3 times the power on the 170.
Spent days trying to decide between these. Then went for a Kawai CA99.
@@Calmdown1354 Why this piano of all pianos?
@@eiskalterwischt8113 because it was my favourite digital piano at that price range. However I have since traded it in for an acoustic 👍
ooh that tune at 14:17 is so jammy!
Terrific video
Thank you! Just the video I needed!
Buen video. Tengo una CLP y me parece fantástica
Exceptional video. Thanks.
I have a clavinova CVP- 3 and would love to know it’s worth/ how much they run for
Very helpful video! Thank you guys!
NONE of the above: wait till you try the Yamaha DGX-670!!! Wow, WHAT an instrument!

Brilliant explanation thank you 👏
What about sudden random loud keys
Hi friends, which feels and sound better between CP88, Clavinova CLP-645 and Clavinova CLP-745?. Thanks!.
Good walkthru, thanks
Price range of each model would be helpful.🙂
Cvp's are workstations in a cabinet

I found a used CLP330 for sell. Is it any good? I know that its a very old model.
Can I connect my iPad on the CLP? Can I have the learning part like on the CSP?
You can yes. (as long as you dont have a 725)
Thank you, nicely explained
Excelent explanation

Amazon is selling DGX660. What's the difference between the CLP, CVP series & DGX660? I would like to hear the difference of the sounds.

Thanks 4 the Infos...very well explained.
Very useful info giving detailed info that is important and necessary for many of us.
Thank you so much.
good teacher!
Do can it teach me to play classical
CVP is Clavinova Versatile Piano, CSP is Clavinova Smart Piano, what is CLP?
Clavinova... Learning Piano? idk though
I have Yamaha Calvino clp 570

Bravo
How is the grand touch action of CSP compared to CVP?
very close - The CVP 805 and 809 have the best action similar to a 785 CLP. The CSP170 action is similar to the CLP795GP
He didnt cover a lot of the capabilities of the CSP. I has almost everything the CVP has
Good luck finding replacement parts. Yamaha does not carry replacement parts in the long run. Be aware!!!!!!! if you buy their pianos.
