Great job Nick! What a blessing your dedication and able mind to fix things is to your sweet family. Kendra, I really appreciate your vulnerability. I am a firm believer (in Christ foremost) that vulnerability is something that is truly lacking in the online Christian space but so so edifying and God glorify. I’m not quite sure all of the details of your life, but I know that I (and I’m sure there are many others) am one of the women that the Holy Spirit worked through by you sharing this video and me watching this video. I really resonate with what I know of your situation. I find camaraderie with you. I found myself fighting back tears while watching this video because I hadn’t been honest with myself about how much I’ve been struggling these past couple of years. For very similar reasons to what you’ve said about your own situation. And was able to be honest with God through prayers of lament about how isolated I feel. I am not saying that you are isolated, but hearing about how you too (what seems) don’t have an intimate community of family & friends to lean on in postpartum with two under two, made me realize that I long for intimate community. I have local church community but it lacks depth and intimacy which makes me feel very isolated in this season. If you have the bandwidth to be friends, I’d love to empathize and gain encouragement with you. I do want to say I am trying to actively and intentionally grow deep friendships with the women of my church (of 1.5 years) and I find working towards those relationships is very necessary but it’s proven difficult when they are at very different seasons of life. Edited to say that I watched your video the day it came out and was planning to comment right away but as most people know with two under two, things easily escape you.
So glad to see you again!😊 But do not feel bad for not uploading long form content! I can’t imagine how hard it is to raise two small children at once🩷 And everyone needs a break!!
So thankful for a handy husband! I have one as well. Don’t feel as though perfection is necessary. Taking pride in your creativity is okay but don’t let the perfectionism take away from doing what you love. We love you and are here for the raw and the real. ❤
So good to see you back. Ivy is so beautiful ❤️. Great job Nick 👏. I'm praying that God will surround you and your family with lots of godly friends to help and encourage each other.🙏 My husband and I don't have any kids, but I know how important it is to have community around us. 🙏 Even if you filmed your videos on your phone I would still watch them. 😊
Community is so important! We are building that slowly here and are so thankful for the people God is bringing into our lives! It makes such a difference
Yay! Happy you're back! I always enjoy your vlogs! Yes, we want the birth story!! AND GREAT JOB NICK! You're definitely not alone, you are speaking to myself, and I'm sure many others in this one! Being a mom is so hard yet so rewarding. I'm happy you're able to get back to your outlet! We all need something. Plus you've been missed!
Thank you Cassie! Seriously so shocked and impressed he was able to fix it 👏🏼 I’m hoping we can get into our groove soon, the adjustment to two kids has definitely been a challenge
Yes things will get better, it will! Each season is just that…a season. I have 4 kids. I am a SAHM and I homeschool also. In the “season” you are in, whatever it may be, just know it is temporary. Rest is coming. Sanity is coming back 😊. And one day you will look back and be shocked at how fast those times went. But I know that doesn’t make it any easier while you are in it. Honestly, being a parent is THE hardest thing I have ever done. But just remember, God chose you to be their Mom. And he chose you for a reason. And He knows that you cannot only handle it, but can also be exactly what they need to help them build a firm foundation that can one day stand against the enemy! You got this Mama! 💪🏼 ❤
Awww, new subscriber here😊Listening to you was like rewinding time. I was a very young mom - we had 4 kids in 5 years by age 25😅 Hubby was an Air Force pilot and we were NEVER by family and he was ALWAYS gone. It was so, so hard, but God got me through it somehow. Time will pass - winter was the hardest for me.
Welcome back!! I have 2 under 2 right now and I cannot imagine not having any one around me to help. I will be praying for God to give you strength and may this season get easier soon. Remember that God sees everything you are doing and He will bless you greatly!!
Aw thank you 🫶🏼 it’s such a hard transition and with them being so little and completely dependent on you for everything, it makes it so hard to meet their needs all the time. I’m with you 🫶🏼
