The Myoken-no-Mori Cable opened in 1925, was temporarily abolished during the war, and then reopened in 1960. It is reported that it is expected to be abolished again in December 2023 at the earliest.
Total length: 666m, steepest slope: 424‰ (approximately 23°). There are only two standard gauge (gauge 1,435 mm) cable cars in Japan, and when the Myoken no Mori Cable is discontinued, the Jukkokutoge Cable Car (Shizuoka) will be the only standard gauge cable car in Japan.
