[4K Cab View] Kamaishi Mine Self-driving cart (Outward trip) (Iwate, Japan)

This is the cab view of Yamaha Motor's electromagnetic induction cart operating in the Kamaishi mine tunnel. It began operating in March 2021, replacing minecart.
At its peak, Kamaishi Mine had a total length of about 1,000km of tunnels. The area that is currently open to the public, albeit irregularly, is approximately 3km from the mine entrance to the Sennin hisui water sampling point. This is the first time in Japan that a self-driving cart using electromagnetic induction has been used in a mine tunnel. The cart is electric (battery powered). The outward journey is non-stop and takes approximately 21 minutes. The maximum speed in the mine shaft during automatic operation is 7km/h.
