So from 260bhp to 330bhp and all this Nm is a big difference, do you think it might affect the longevity of the engine and the 8ZF, i mean its a lot of extra stress ? This is what i hear around
It’s is a big difference and adding more power / torque will increase stress on components but it is all relative. If you drive a vehicle hard all the time you will wear out components faster as you exert more stress on them (even if stock) I don’t believe this is outside the realms of what the engine or gearbox can handle but equally maintenance is very important.
@@boardeliathe 8HP70 gearbox this uses is fine for about 1200nm and the N57 is also reliable at even 400bhp, it's not much more stress to be honest unless your using it as a track or race car it will be fine.
Im up in Wigan, wheres the best place you could reccomend around here? because 330bhp in a 330d is absolutley amazing, to be honest might even make the trip up there!
How much HP / torque is added by straight piping the car ?

@@actuning That's what i believe too, it might add a bit of stress but if your careful with your driving you shouldn't see any problems.
@@boardelia Exactly that, its just having abit of mechanical sympathy and looking after your car.

I will have a look and see if there are any tuners I know near you, failing that we are more than happy to help.
Got mine done today made 332.1hp and 710NM on Dyno
@@Rory96inthahouse thats insaneeeee, have you had your chain done and a health check before going for the map?
That’s an awesome result!

Looking to stage one tune my exact same car and would be a pleasure to come to this establishment but it’s over a 100 mile trip unfortunately.
Where are you based? If you can’t make the journey to us we may be able to recommend someone closer to you.
Mate, you need to think of it as when it’s been mapped, you have a 100 mile trip with 330bhp (obviously on that imaginary racetrack 😊)
@@Matt-mu1mg definitely not a bad way to look at it!

Is it true that these suffer with rod bearing failure?
Not as far as we have seen.
It's mainly people getting them serviced every 20k miles.
