It's telling that it is both Intuition as well as Logic that amounts to our success. It's also too true that were we to possess solely one or the other, we would no longer be human beings. I would either be four legged, or a computer, neither of which could advance neither the cause nor the satisfaction of being a person.
I always find it interesting in that spectre of a gun clip because McCoy calls out Spock for not having any grief for Checkov. Yet like a minute before he said that he explained that they all knew the risks before joining the service. Maybe Spock's right about human emotion

I humbly disagree with Leonard Nimoy's view that season 3 was bad writing and direction. I found some of the episodes to be the best in the series.
