If enough people want to see other fans running (like I did at the end of this video) and if there's enough of them I might make another video of said fans.
Hey you seem like you know your fans what would be the best suggestions for 120mm fans like brand and model and what would be nice for a 140mm fan and a 200mm fan. You know your stuff i appreciate a reply back thanks. Also which would be most cost effective brand and long lasting.
mhauck99 Well id go with a Delta as my #1 for long lasting and after that either NMB or Nidec all 3 of which use ball bearings in every one of their fans (as far as I can tell) As for models that's really up to what you wanna use it for, do you want high cfm? high pressure? quiet? stationary fan vanes?, etc.
20:00 deltas are always awesome! they are ridiculously powerful for their size. after a small investigation, i found that 140x140mm delta fans are the only fans to provide up to slightly more than 400 cfm!!!!
Electrotechnics No they sell all kinds of stuff but the owner has a contracts with like the army and he gets pallets of old servers to dismantle for there raw materials and he lets me take the out fans.
Hello! I have the PAPST TYP 6448 2HT which is a 48V 700mA (0.7A) fan,It has 6 wires-Red,Black,Blue,White,White with Red and White with Black,I can't seem to figure out how to turn it on(I don't want to damage it by connecting it improperly),Do you have any clues on how to power it? Thank You!
. Ok all computer fans has red and black wires. The red wire is a positive wire and the black wire is a negative wire. All computer fans has red and black wires. If you have a old laptop charger, Try putting a red wire to a positive pin Terminal of a dc output and the negative wire behind the pin and see if it works. I hope this helps you.
Holy molly! What a huge and beatifull Collection, how much fans do you have in total? Also Do you know what type is the Nidec with orange sticker on left at 9:01? And the double nmb blowers at 16:18, double servo blowers at 16:41
1020 in total. The copper colored Nidec at 9:01 is an old one, I gotten 4 of them and only 1 still worked and it needed new bearings, I don't know the model number on that. The one at 16:18 is FT41B17\26\05B0, The Servo's are E1146X12B9AQ-10.
The Nidec UltraFlo 40mm i'd say are most powerful single hub fans as thay spin at 19000+ RPM's , or for dual hub (one pushes the other pulls) the Delta one i tested at the end of the video (also 40mm).
@@HL4EHalfLife I have a Nidec 1604O1 G80E12NS1ZN 12V DC 1.65A FAN. I took it apart from the PS3 SLIM. That's a powerful fan. I'm going to find more. I want tons of it lol.
Could not figure out how to respond to your response to my question about sounding a reed so here Ill ask which of the blowers you show might be the most quiet? I am having trouble finding video to demo of blowers. Thanks for helping me find a good solution!
Wow, i like your Fan collection 👏👏 various fans of various sizes and different brands 😀👍, I just collected about 450 fan unit with various brands, more details, I prefer fan collections that are rare, high speed, and branded.
I have 4 mm fans I hope I can find more of those fans.those are hard to find.I just have to see which I can find maybe like printers, more gaming console like Xbox 360,some VCR have and other stuff
I'm wondering if anyone can possibly help me. I have a Nidec Beta V TA600DC fan and its rated for 12v and TEN AMPS... Yeah a whole 10. So I've been trying to power it and it just wont come on. I gave it a max of 12.8v and 9.8 amps and still nothing. Any help would be appreciated.
Model number? upload a pic to an image site if you can, I find it hard to believe it's 10 amps seeing as I can't find anything on google and the highest I've ever seen is 3 amps and that's on a 60mm delta that does 13,000 rpms.. its probably 1.0 amps.
Jesus Christ! it really is 10 amps! I'd love to have that fan in my connection!! however after testing 100's of fans I've found that the amp rating on the name plate is a MAX possible amp draw it can do without damaging itself. For example the 3.20 amp delta fans I got don't draw 3.2 amps when running at full speed they only draw about 2 amps and that seems to be a trend for most high-powered fans.Looking up the fan on Google I notice that it has 5 wires so If you have given it 12v DC and had the polarity correct (pos red, neg black) and the fan did nothing you may need to connect up an extra wire however that can be risky as you may damage the fan, but we can eliminate the yellow wire as that's a sensor for the rpm's. The green MIGHT be the pulse-width modulated speed control but with the little info I could find on it I can't be 100% on that. If I had the fan here I could connect those 2 wires up to an oscilloscope and see what they were doing.
Well, you know, I have tried other wires so I guess its possible I damaged the fan from the beginning or this fan was busted before I ever got to it. I tired four of the wires, Red +12v, Black Neg, yellow (only because I read somewhere it could possibly be a safety wire that would need to be grounded) and lastly the blue wire. But anyway thanks for the info and help. Maybe I could get my hands on another one and try again. If anything works out, I'll let you know.
If you want to you could donate the fan to me and I could have a look at it and try to get it going (or fix it) and if I do I'll do a video on the fan and mention you in it and post a link to your channel.

WOW, that is a lot of really sweet fans, I am jealous, lol. Where/how did you collect them all?
Ok I just saw the comment where you said they were from a surplus store. Is it just a computer surplus place or what, and what is it called?

I don't know why i find fans so satisfying.

Me going through the computer scrapyard just to get some case fans and you just has it all
you should try a 600w san ace or a 3532 cfm delta.... the only disadvantage of the delta is that it needs 380-480v at 1.75a...
I have a ADDA 24V fan and is A 60MM
