    I wonder if putting a motherboard with CPU and graphics card in there without heatsink would still be properly cooled.

      You would definitely still need a heatsink, but should be able to get away without having a fan on it.

    Put it on some caster wheels, find somewhere to put batteries that'll power the thing, and sit on it.
    Prob be able to push someone with all that thrust.

    This contraption should be used by a case fan company as a demo for their fans! I certainly don't see a practical use but that doesn't make it any less cool! You just need to mount the tach like you had on the other box. and the melamine i absolutely hate melamine!!!- the look, the weight, the way it crumbles, everything i worked with the shi* for five years..go back to 3/4 ply! lol jk. cool experiment man, i am totally with you on the importance of fan pressure, especially in this "case" scenario, this is a perfect demo for it. Most people are occupied with cfm numbers which is fine except very rarely are fans run without any restriction.

    you should take all those small fans and put them in a really big box like the size if a small bedroom on the floor and levitate stuff off the floor. the the big one is the backup.

      He’s not using it as a fan in this video; he’s actually using it as a wind turbine to generate electricity from the insane air pressure created by the 139 other fans in the box!

    How is the DC output greater than the AC output? Are you using an inverter to create the AC?

      cr1901 You know I've asked that question to a few tech's myself and haven't really gotten an answer but it has something to do with the filtering cap.

    That's soo cool. I like this video. I'm going to make this. I have 2 NIDEC fans from the PS4. It's a NIDEC G95C12MSIAJ56J14 DC 12V 2.10A.
    i took a fan out of a ps3 it's a Nidec G80E12NS1ZN-56J14 12V 1.65A 3wires cooling fan.
    I'm still hunting down high performance fans on PS3 and PS5. I NEED TO FIND THIS FAN, 1 of NMB-MAT BG1402-B045-P00 cooling fan 12V 2.90A 3-wire De PS3 but i don't know what model number from the PS3 has this kind of fan.

      Just 12v DC, the brushless controllers are built right into each and every fan.
