Gillette Fusion Flexball Chrome Handle, Face and Head Shaving Razor Review

- I had seen an advert from Boots for a new Gillette Fusion razor with chrome handle.
This reminded me of the Cornerstone razor and the Harry's Winston razor, so I had to rush out and buy one (and again get a first RUclips review of the product).
Because I have a Cornerstone razor I compare the two, especially as I think this razor may have been brought out because of Harry's and Cornerstone's offering.
I seem to have made an error in the video, I have checked the packaging and it appears this was a Proglide cartridge (so I certainly do not think Proglide is anything much to shout about over a standard Fusion cartridge and would not personally buy it).

theMediaMart I have a filing cabinet draw full of them, i even have unusual Japanese ones. I think one of my proudest moments was when a manufacturer showed me a case full of razors and I showed them mine and they went oh we are still awaiting to get that one, so I gave them it as I actually had spare due to a shipping error causing one to be lost in the post only to turn up later 😉. #SmallWins
Been checking costs. the Gillette for 6 cartridge costs £19 and on the Gillette website states How long does a Gillette Fusion5 ProGlide blade last? Every Fusion5 ProGlide or ProShield blade delivers up to a month of shaves. To ensure a long-lasting lubrastrip, store your razor in the included organiser tray or face up - away from damp surfaces. £19 for 6 months of shaving?
When checking cost wise of Bic-Shave Club are 4 Blades for £8 a month, giving a week worth of shaving if shaving everyday for a month.
Harrys Blades cost £14 for 8 Blades which are 2 monthly shaving everyday. shaving everyday using the blade a week and binning.
Razors By Dorco cost £5.95 for 4 blades of 6 six blade razors a month. shaving everyday for 7 days then binning old blade using new.
All the cartridges can be made to last similar lengths of time if treated the same way.
wit the Gillette fusion flexball can the blade be used for head-shaving against the grain, without ingrown hairs, razors bumps, and no irritation , not this version u got with the slippery handle but the standard handle flexball
Ingrow hair? Use skinguard, but no bbs head shave.but is good rasor.i use everytime. Gillette fusion proshield flexball chill is the best razor for headshave. No cuts ,no ingrow hair, irritation, bicause 2 lubrificant strip.

Thanks for the support. I like quite a lot of them, and I do find the handle makes a lot of difference. I like the Calibr 3 blade that us used as home brands, and I like the Dorco 3 Blade. I still like Mach 3 but won't pay their prices anymore. I am not a fan of those with more blades, I find they do nothing for me, except clog the head more.
I love fusion! But I use Gillette fusion prosheild flexball version chill! Work very well!
can this blade be used to shave the head against the grain. or would that cause issues.
The blade is fine, but with this handleJ wouldn't recommend as it is so slippy

Gillette fusion proglide flexball work very well for me.harry s,dollar shave club,bic no. Gillette fusion proglide flexball and mach3 turbo 3 blades is veri good razor.very smooth no irritation.
Different razer is for different skin types hair growth is different
out of this blade gillette fusion proglide and gillette skinguard which one is better, safer, and recommnded to go against the grain

I will give Gillette this, the pro glide is nice..and the first shaves but then it starts to go to heck! Where as Schicks Hydro seems to last longer and maintain the same comfort . That is in my experience

I find the Fusion to be the best razor on the market - expensive cartridges but worth it !! There is a way around this - shave with a cheaper razor with the grain first, then against the grain with the Fusion. This will preserve the life of the Fusion blades. I like the Schick Slim Twin disposables. They are good, cheap and one can push the stuble out , lasts a nice time . Then go to the Fusion - you will love this combination !!

You mean specifically this one with the chrome handle? Or the Flexball on the normal handle that has some grip?

So do you think the power and the non power razor give the same end result / closeness / smoothness
I do think they do give the same end result, a nice smooth clean shave. Thing is it's not about the end result in deciding for power or not it's about the journey getting there. Those few seconds / minutes while you are actually shaving.
Geek Of Shaves this is true! Think I’m looking into it too much, I’m terrible I buy these razors try them and end up confused of what is best
Geek Of Shaves they do say that power does give a closer shave due to the vibration lifting the hairs stimulating the hair and skin, is there any truth in this? I guess these are tested before they are put out there for customers

I got a fusion proglide very good plus don't bang the razer on the sink damage the blades rinse out shake it leaves to dry store it safely away from small children

No, I guess I should get one really, but I have not been going to any shops for last 2 months.
Geek Of Shaves there nice blades with the extra lubrication on top and bottom gives a smoother effortless shave glides better
@@stevehayes8867 The SkinGuard hase lube strips in front and below of the blades too. Maybe that's why K like it
I used the proshield chill blade on the power it was a closer smoother shave than the proglide blade , will try that same blade on a manual handle and see if the shave is any different

I did a long time ago, I believe they now use the Edgewell M5, same as the one I reviewed on the Aldi home brand review you will find in my videos.

I don't, I did it for this video but to be honest I do not like the handle so I do not use this

I use a straight razer first time got to my jaw and few nick as if been bite from a dog put it in my box let the Turkish barber do it

I was cringing when you were shaving haha, a nice video but you were kinda rough with the shaving at least for me so I cringed.
Mladen Jerkic you will find some of the others i did even more so then. I shaved with hot sauce and I have even dry shaved at the end of movember. I must admit that one did hurt quite a bit.
