I want to thank you for clearing up all the difference for these shavers and blades. As a women, I could care less but to buy the wrong blade for my husband is like us buying the wrong _______... so this is why I've looked you up. He has the fusion, Mach3 and the proglide. His preference is the fusion. Now I can go return the Mach3 and purchase the blades he likes best. Thank you again.
FINALLY a straight-forward video on all of the Gilette razors without the time-wasting. This was very thorough and professional! Thanks for your time and money in making it XD
This is the best review of Gillette's razors I've ever seen. Have you thought about doing a video like this about Schick razors? I really appreciate your honesty and the many details you provide.
Cheers brah!! I absolutely have that in the pipeline. Work, new house and life things are keeping me very busy atm 🤣🤣. Things should settle soon, then I’m going to be quite regularly doing a fair amount of reviews and comparisons.
I use the fusion 5 proglide power with flexball, it gives the closest shave for me in my opinion . I have also used the manual version but did not give as close a shave as the POWER
i still have gillete fusion cartridges from like 10-15 years ago since i didnt shave for a long time. and got some new ones and wow the new ones feel a lot better!
My dad's in the paramilitary and hence shaves everyday, he has a job 2000kms away from me so the only thing that keeps me connected too him is shaving everyday and I've grown very passionate about it, thanks a lot man this is a great vid :)
This is the only place I could find to help explain the differences of the Gillette razors. Thank you very much! A very well made video! I, now, know which of the Gillette razors I will purchase. Have a good one!
@Scott C.. I read it takes 3 months for your skin & hair to adjust to a new razor. You could definitely feel the 5 blades carts are more aggressive but they work for me. My Mach 3 just sits there now for years. Hope you have an enjoyable experience.
@Angel my pleasure buddy 👍🏼😊. This brings me lots of joy that the video serves its purpose till today 🤣. Every time I see a comment, it just makes all the effort feel like it was worth it.
I always used the Fusion 5 and really liked it, but thought I’d give the ProGlide Shield a try. I don’t know what happened, but the ProGlide just completely ripped my face to shreds. It was as if I had an allergic reaction to something on the blade or something. My entire face broke out into like these bumps. I don’t know if you’d call it razor burn or not, but it was horrible. I only tried the ProGlide that one time and then went right back to the Fusion 5. I still really like it.
That’s not ideal at all. I feel like our skin gets used to something and sometimes it just doesn’t like something else. It’s great to know the Fusion works well for you 👍🏼🙂
@@allydz Yeah I really can’t explain it. Like I said I used the Fusion 5 for quite a while and loved it and I guess I just thought perhaps the newer ProGlide that was supposed to be a smoother shave would be better, but it was a disaster for me personally. In the end I guess it’s not like it was the end of the world or anything. Again, like I said before, I just went right back to the Fusion 5, but it probably took about 2 weeks for the bumps or rash or whatever it was to go away.
Ally thank you for explaining the differences in the first of all the razors and then the blades, it seems that every year they bring a new razor out with newer and more expensive blades , of all the years that I have been shaving I have never noticed the name of the model of the razor was on the inner side of the handle now that I know it will be much easier to choose the correct blades for the numerous razors as well as sourcing the cheapest on the internet. Much appreciated upon your research.
I know I'm not a guy but thanks for the video it was really informative and helpful in explaining the razors and blades. I recently switched from a woman's 3 blade razor because I felt like it wasn't working for me to the men's 5 blade and love them. I use them for shaving my legs, arms, and armpits. Love the fusion family razors!
Amazon has a great break down of these in a chart but I did find the razor roughness of each type to be informative in this video. The marketing pages never tell you this.
Excellent explanation, thanks! 🙂I was looking to change my old M3 Power razor with a new Gillette one and was a bit confused with all the available range of products, but your video made everything much clearer. I will go with ProGlide Power and maybe pair it with the ProShield blades too later on.
@Dragos Ionescu Pleasure is all mine 🙏🏼😊. Just an update, the new orange coloured striped cartridges that come with the fusion Proglide are basically the prosheild blades. So as long as you are getting the new rebranded cartridges (orange coloured stripes), you are good
@@allydz Ah, I was just thinking about this, but wasn't sure 😀. I ordered the new orange ones and they looked pretty similar as the yellow ProShield ones when looking at pictures, good to know that they're both the same.
For finer hair/western european the Mach 3 is best, with thicker hair more blades works better "this logic isn't hard to understand" i've tried several 2 blades and it just misses those extra fine hairs, i've tried pretty much every type of razor but the mach 3 for when i do shave with a razor "rarely nowadays" is best for my blond/fine hair. Every thickness of hair has a razor basically. (A traditional knife works for all, but lighter hair is more difficult and requires more skill because it's hard to see)
I have used most if not all, I used the power Mach 3 and it is from that razor I got the pleasure of ingrown hairs that took a dermatologist to poke a tweeze out. I really just like the Gillette black beauty or slim adjustable.
Hey can i ask a few questions- I was using mach 3 but sadly it broke so here are some of my question can you please help me 1)Mach 3 and Mach 3 turbo are completely same only blades are different 🤷But blades are compatible with both so i can use which ever blade i find better -->So is their even a reason to buy Mach 3 Turbo 2)I have seen review on Amazon of Mach 3 turbo 3d where people claim the ball do not move when shaving and if handle is dropped it will get destroyed into 2 or 3 peaces I will never shave my head with razor -->So should i buy mach 3 or mach 3 turbo or mach 3 turbo 3d? 3)Is their any huge advantage of buying fusion 5 as its blades are twice expensive and i have heard their is not really a huge difference between 3 blade and 5 blade -->So should i even consider buying 5 fusion razors are they worth it 4)I am just in a little dillema as if i buy mach 3 i will be happy but if i buy mach 5 fusion proglide i will be able to experiment with different fusion 5 blades but does 5 blade even make that much difference to pay double for every blade what will you recommend English is not my first language so sorry if there are some mistakes
@@Cidoriginal Hopefully got you covered. 1. Yes, Turbo handle is heavier and personally I like the metallic finish better of the turbo handle. 2. It’s not a big deal, the ball is meant to not move visibly. The movement is subtle and it’s there to correct control error, which I think is a good +, but choice is yours. I have a turbo vs turbo 3D video, do check it out. Let me know if it helped. 3. 4. 5. I only upgraded to Fusions as the my beard became thicker over the years and fusions gave me a quicker better shave, at a cost though💲 💲 So stick to Mach 3 series if it works, it wouldn’t harm in buying a fusion and trying it first, see how you feel. You already know the Mach 3, then you decide what works best for your face and wallet 😎✌️
One of my best friends got bad razor bumps and irritation when he used the Gillette Fusion, so he switched to beard clippers. Later, I recommend him to use the skinguard and the results were astronomical, his sensitive skin was able to adapt quite well and he faced no irritation or razor bumps.
@Live Loud 🔊 Handle is matter of preference mate. I personally prefer the Proglide Power handle cuz I like heft, the the rotation ball, pivot motion and ability to turn on power. Carts you can again go with anything Fusion that suits your budget. I used to buy bulk whenever I find them on Amazon specials. On full price none of them are cheap. Hope that helps
@@Live_Loud 100% safe and effective. Take it easy & slow when u start and once you get a hang of them, it’s an enjoyable shave. I use DE on the weekends and days off, carts when I want to get in and out cuz it’s a brainless exercise 🤣
@@P4TRYK1 if your skins not sensitive, try the Gillette labs. It’s pretty good too. I have found the results for Gillette labs cheaper on Amazon too. Also everyone’s face and skin type are different. So just go all trail and error mindset with this. Don’t commit to blades without trying the razor to make sure you are happy with it 👍🏼😎
What would've been really useful is to show the 'ends' (connector) of each of these blades. I have a bunch of razor blades with no label (or handles) with them that I can't identify. So I don't know which handle to buy.
Amazing video thanks for guidance, got rid of all the confusion! I hope u make an updated version of this video if possible and one last question 😅, What razor brand and type do u personally use?
Absolutely right there Stelios 👍🏽 I am not talking chronology with these razors, it’s just the different types. I could have said something wrong somewhere though, if so my apologies.
The fusion power glid when you turn it on was supposed to be used for washing ... you dunk the head in water after a few passes then hit the vibrat button and all the hair washes away . Then you turn it of to make a few more passes.
@@john_dougg811 Thanks John. Learnt something new today ✌🏼😊 I guess it worked no reduce dragging on the face and it’s something they might have not consciously thought about. Thanks for sharing again ✌🏼💈
Totally normal. Personally for me my growth has gotten thicker and quicker as I'm growing older. There was a time where I could shave once every 2 weeks and now I need to shave every couple of days. When I exercise regularly, my growth is quicker. This may vary for individuals depending on their lifestyle, DNA, age, testosterone levels, etc; The list goes on. It's not really an issue. The beard shadow; play with it as you like. If you like it, you could use an electric trimmer to even it, if not then do a 3 pass shave.
@Manu Cotarelo it sure does bud. Aqua is my least favourite cart though, they don’t have a precision trimmer blade which I find quite useful personally
My husband have oily skin and pimples earlier.. Whenever he gets shaved all skin is irritated and feels like hurted and burning sensation in all over the skin..He wants to shave but after getting these results he prefer trimmer instead of shaving. Please suggest any good quality of shaving cream and razor and after shave lotion or something which will help for too much sensitive skin.
I normally use a good face wash to get rid of oil on the skin before shaving. Application of shaving creams designed for sensitive skin could help, I use Gillette pure shaving cream, Gillette Skin guard Razor and Nivea Men Sensitive aftershave balms work well for me. He could try traditional DE razors. A good routine will definitely help. Time consuming but the results are great. Hope all works out well Somya 👍🏽
@@somyakaushik8974 Get him to try a few good brands to find what works best for your hubby. I would recommend that he first speak to a skin specialist to make sure he gets professional advice. I'm just speaking based of my experience and everyone's skin varies. I use face wash and scrubs from Bulldog, Nivea men's, L'Oréal men's, etc
I don't understand that move till date. Hear you loud and clear, for a brand that clearly has marked its name and great with quality as well, it was totally unnecessary.
To me, I prefer the Fusion 5 Proglide Power, then the Proglide and lastly the Fusion. They all do a comparably similar job. The handles and the technique/practice make all the difference too 😊👍🏽
Question? I have an extraordinary thick beard. I struggle to get a clean shave usually shaving the same spot three or four times. Can you suggest a razor and blades?
Does the “Powered” Fusion Proshield handle fit into any of the stands? If so, which one. I want te get a stand for my powered handle but don’t know if it fits into any of the stands. Great video by the way!!!
Hey bro, firstly how are you finding the Mach 3? It's a great razor to start with. It's difficult for me to recommend a razor for you as everyone's skin type, hair type and thickness, etc vary. Judging from the kind comments that a few subscribers, this video will definitely been a good guide. I would consider looking into the parts of the video where I talk about level of aggressiveness of the various cartridges. From a budget perspective, Mach 3 is decent. If not look into safety razors. I have made some videos with them as well. Hope this helps.
It’s works brother. It’s a lubricant strip that activates when in contact with water and helps reduce skin irritability. It does ware off as u keep shaving though. Not a marketing gimmick in my opinion and it’s on most quality cart razors.
Thanks for the overview and the tips! I'm posting a comment for future reference to know the perfect match 😉 Gillette Fusion ProGlide Flexball Power + Fusion5 ProShield blades
Depends on your growth and bread thickness. Proglide styler is probably the best if u have heavy growth to trim first with the trimmer side and then shave. If the growth isn’t as heavy then the Proglide Power will work really well.
Ally would you say the 5 blade fusion proglide gives a super close shave, more so that the tri blade ones? And also looks like the motorized handle increased the shave quality even more as in closer? I get idea the dual blade skin guard won't give as close a shave?
Hey Jack, the Mach 3 doesn’t stand a chance against Fusion, now that’s not a rule of thumb but what my experience says. The motorised handles definitely avoid dragging while giving you a very close shave. The skin guard is the only dual I have used, they won’t shave as close as the other 2
Mr. AllyDz … GREAT!! You are obviously very thorough in your presentation and the video is fabulous. I had no idea about razors so Thank You very much. The information you provided is long over due. You are doing a big service for Gillette and I hope they appreciate what you are doing.
@Rocky Robar.. thanks buddy. I don't think Gillette care and they love the confusion they cause probably 🤣 My goal was to break it down for users like us cuz I was lost and confused for ages till I just decided I need to break this down 🙂✌️
Do any of these cartridges clean easily and effectively under the faucet after shaving? One of my problems with one of the old cartridge models is hair and shaving cream getting stuck and not coming out between shaves.
I find when I shave every (2-3 days), there is 0 clog. The gap between blades on all the fusion carts is pretty decent as well and they wash off with an easy rinse. Also, I have found that when I use artisan soaps, they clog more as most soaps have a level of fat in them. I don’t have that issue with gels and foams when combined with the fusions.
@@allydz Cevabı merak ediyordum.Mutlu oldum...Mach3 ile proglide bıçakları arasındaki açıklıktan ve tıkanma, temizlenme konusunda pek az bilgiye rastladım.Sizce hangisi daha kolay temizlenir? @@AlpcanCan-kg5nd Thank you and sure I will answer these to the breast of my knowledge. Cleaning: my experience with all razors in general has taught me to use a trimmer if my growth is 3 days plus or 2mm+ in growth. This makes sure that I don’t irritate my skin with multiple passes and also avoids clogging the blades with longer hair. The blade gap between them all is almost the same, I could tell the difference personally. Blade Angle : Cartridge razors come with the blades loaded in an angle that is best suitable when the cartridge is placed flush against the skin surface, so you don’t need to worry about blade angles with them
@petros tsekak both are great and absolutely fine. If I have to pick just 1, it would be the fusion Pro glide with the power handle. Reason being it's smooth glide, efficiency and precision trimmer.
Hi AllyDz..., Excellent video and very informative, and thank you for sharing the video... So good...; I watched the video, not once..., but TWICE... I even took notes... Mike in Montana USA P.S.: I purchased your choice... Mike :)
Mike, Thank you so much for your glowing comment!! Made my day…. I’m so glad it helped, it was the purpose of making this video and it’s hitting the mark 😊. Your choice & my choice are apparently the choice that a lot of people have landed on with the best overall razor 🪒 🧔🏻♂️. Cheers my man!!
Which cartridge / head gives you a closer shave? Regular non power Gillette Fusion Proglide or Gillette Fusion Proglide Power ? I am talking only about the head, not the handle. Many thanks :)
Cheers mate. You sure can use aerosol gel with safety razors, however the experience won't be as good. I would recommend using a quality soap or shaving cream with the safety razor. Feel free to check out my other videos with safety razors, there is also a video I made on cartridge vs safety razor. If you listen to the commentary before the shave, I talk about the differences with soaps, gels, creams, etc. Hope this helps.
@@allydz It helps, thank you - I have been using a cartridge razor for a long time, and am pretty happy with the Gillette Fusion Power which I have been using for several years - and it is a pretty good razor. I have also just recently bought & tested the Gillette Labs Exfoliating one (got sucked in by the advertising, and promotions) - and while its a cool looking product - the shave is not really as good, and the blades lose their sharpness after a relatively short time. The cost of the cartridges is not the major issue - I just want a great shave without too much fuss. I did look at the heated Gillette as well - but it just appears too much of a gimmick - without significant shaving improvements. So I am just toying with the idea of using a safety razor, and while you make it look easy, and rave about it - it does look a lot more effort - 3 passes, doing the whole brush thing etc. But I think I should try it at some point go see. And I will make sure I watch your other videos first! The ones I have seen so far are excellent - all very well explained.
@@sgoody1 Fusion power or Proglide Powers are the best in carts without a doubt, so really you are sorted already. When I need to be in & out of the bath, I just grab some shave gel and the Fusion Proglide power automatically (despite the choice of many various handles I have). When I want fun & pampering, I go safety razor.
I’m not sure my friend. I don’t know prices in Rs and also the type of razor depends on what works best for you. I hope you find the video useful as a guide.
@coolmanu55 I definitely rate the power version it as the best razor with Gillette Fusion Range, feels weird at the start but after 6 weeks when your face gets used to it, definitely is better.
@@allydz awesome bro, thanks for the reply and advise. Razor part is done, so as per your video - proshield 5 is the best fusion blade ? Is it ? or do u have any other suggestion. Like which is the top no.1 blade with this razor ? is it proshield (yellow one) or the sensitive one. Did you try sensitive with the power razor ?
@@coolmanu55 the current Proglide Power (updated orange colour) is the same as the prosheild (yellow), the skin guard won’t give you a close enough shave. So if you don’t have sensitive skin; then fusion Proglide, Proglide Power or Prosheild will all work. FYI ; This is based again on my preference and experience, your taste might vary. The power handle makes a big difference, so glad you got that sorted.
Lesser blades are generally better. I would recommend safety razors or Gillette Skinguard if u want to stick to cartridge razors. Pro tip : Choose care for your skin over closeness of shave. Hope that helps
@@allydz I dunno man brand new fusion cartridge from Amazon performing worse than the first one that went through 6 shaves. I managed to push it the first one all the way to 10. Replacements barely last 5.
@@jintarokensei3308 That’s not good and sounds very expensive. Look into Schick Hydro 5 sense brother. I rate it highly. I have reviewed it too. In my experience, they are cheaper & last longer. Quality is gr8, really took me by surprise.

If money is out of the equation: The heated razor feels the best, especially in winter. If it's summer, I wouldn't bother touching the heated razor. The power razor has the best glide. They both have the Flexi ball feature. So it honestly comes down to the mood and weather.

@Corvette72778 I have recently done a compression video of the Gillette labs vs Fusion. Check it out, it should give you a detailed understanding of everything about the razor. Hope it helps
@MC STAN I will try my best to recommend something. It depends on a lot of factors brother; hair thickness, skin sensitivity, quality of cream you use, pre- shave prep, etc. Everyone's skin type is different as well My humble opinion is you start with the mildest and then keep going towards the aggressive side. The moment your skin feels uncomfortable or irritatio; stop and take a step back. I'm curious to know, what do you use at the moment and how do you find the closeness of your shave?
I would find it hard to believe that any of these razers wouldn't (new) give a great shave. I dont want the most expensive (to pricey) & dont want the cheapest (nicks & cuts) so I went (this time) with the Gillette ProGlide Men's Razor. I dont order razors online only in store and 90% of the time @ Walmart and paid $18.33 razor and 2 cartridges out the door for it, and the (4pack) refills come to $5.09 per cartridge and there are 3 different cartridges to choose from. When I tried the power version of the Fussion I didn't see much of a difference from when it was on or off at least not enough to want to spend the money on batteries. Im 62 so I have tried a few over the years and believe any five blade (new & price is right) cartage with pivoting head will do just fine.
Hi AllyDz Does the fusion 5 power black handle one’s power button doesn’t give the click sound? Because the old fusion 5 power handles (Chrome handles) did give a sound
@@circuitsince24 I started shaving with the Mach 3, I definitely think Mach 3 Turbo is a great option to start off with. If you are happy with it, look for deals where you can get the turbo cartridges in bulk on offer and save. Razor preference varies from person to person on your growth and skin as well. So be mindful of that.
Personally I found a huge difference. They have always clogged for me and the light weight doesn’t work well for me, some people might feel otherwise though. So really varies from person to person, but for me it’s a big no.
@@JS-te4gz That I don’t know my friend. Unfortunately there is no info on any website as well. I would imagine it is depending on which razor it is. I know fusion razors work generally better for me rather than the Mach 3.
The two blade unit, I thought it's for longer hair. Easier to wash it out. Sensor 3 was the best blade (refill version) for me. Find it interesting that with all the 4+ blade units you suggest the single blade unit. Quality blade and the feel of where the blade is. That is shaving for me. All the pivoting and many blades just feels like gimmick.
@IThinkICare I think the fusions are great. However for some individuals with sensitive skin, they could be a bit too much. Safety razors in my honest option work really well too and are gentle on the skin.
@@allydz Yeah, but it was 10 y ago when I was trying to get some of those blades for my father and could not get any quality Wilkinson's so we gave up. He passed since. I just wonder if a 4 blade setup has the first 2 blades catch most, what are the rest for? So the first blade will always cut and when that gets dull, you will always feel it no ?!
@IThinkICare firstly sorry for your loss bud. I lost my old man 3 years ago. He used to use the sensor (2 blade) cart. He loved it over my Mach 3, I could never tell why as Mach 3 was my first razor, until I reviewed the gillette sensor recently. It absolutely shocked me positively.
On Amazon there toting two types with trimmer and I bought both and I see or feel no trimmer. Did that design change? The blade use to stick out further but I can’t seem to find those anymore. I bought Pro Glide and Fusion Power. I can see with a jewelers loupe it could be considered a trimmer but not the ones I remember. Maybe so no one cuts themselves.
@@allydz I saw the trimmer but it’s not what I remember. I’m thinking they changed the design at some point or I’m thinking of a different razor. I did switch to electric razor for 10 years. Thanks! Good video

@@lestattsia9365 they are all just minor variations with those blades. The orange guard will work totally fine brother. @sachin They used to be available on the Gillette website, I couldn’t find it too. I think they have discontinued it or are updating their store online. That’s what the Gillette Australia website is saying at this stage.
@Danny Elder Personally for me it’s the Fusion Proglide. I would stress that they really are different for individuals based of skin types, beard thickness etc. My beard is slightly thick and skin does well with aggressive razors too. Hope that helps…

I will try my best with some suggestions. I have a few questions for you. Are you looking into cartridge razor only or are open to DE? What razor do you have in mind atm? What is the texture of your facial hair?
@@allydz nvm, just googled the difference and I'm not interested in the DE ones, cause they are dangerous in general,my inocent opinion,I don't know much about it so cartridge it is
DE is double edge razor. Something I use a lot more than cartridges. They are not just economical but also cause less waste. I use a carts more when I’m travelling or need a quick shave. There are quite a few good quality cartridge razors like Gillette, Schick, etc. You will be happy with any of them from a shave perspective. One could experiment with what suits your skin the best with the lowest level of aggressiveness on blades, eg: Skin guard and then move towards a Fusion a Pro-glide. I have mentioned level of aggressiveness in my video as well according to my experience.
@@MeMelon4u I have mentioned shaving preparation in few of my shave videos too. Please invest in a good face wash, shaving soap as well as after shave moisturiser. It will really help long term. Let me know how you go. All the best 👍🏽😀
but it's not clear to me... can you match a "Fusion5 ProShield" cartridge, which is not a power cartridge, with a power handle like the "Fusion ProGlide Flexball Power"? Don't you lose the vibration feature with this matching?
@MS_Abhinavofficial They normally go from 5 to 15 shaves on average from what I hear, everyone’s mileage varies with type of skin, hair type, products used, etc.
To a small extend and it really depends on individual preference. I love the flexiball handle but many cannot stand it and prefer the standard fusion style.

@eanbruce821 Cheers, Gillette is surely great at branding and repackaging the same stuff. 🙃👍
Thank you for this video. You give better information than the Gillette web.

Hey Rayven, That's great to hear, thanks for watching. And the channel is not just for guys 🙂👍

@@allydz Yeah exactly, otherwise Proshield won't have a selling point anymore. 😆
For finer hair/western european the Mach 3 is best, with thicker hair more blades works better "this logic isn't hard to understand"
i've tried several 2 blades and it just misses those extra fine hairs, i've tried pretty much every type of razor but the mach 3 for when i do shave with a razor "rarely nowadays" is best for my blond/fine hair.
Every thickness of hair has a razor basically. (A traditional knife works for all, but lighter hair is more difficult and requires more skill because it's hard to see)
Love the traditional knife part 🤣🤣
I have used most if not all, I used the power Mach 3 and it is from that razor I got the pleasure of ingrown hairs that took a dermatologist to poke a tweeze out. I really just like the Gillette black beauty or slim adjustable.
@Prentiss Yeates… DE is the way to go for ya brother 👍🏼
Hey can i ask a few questions-
I was using mach 3 but sadly it broke so here are some of my question can you please help me
1)Mach 3 and Mach 3 turbo are completely same only blades are different
🤷But blades are compatible with both so i can use which ever blade i find better
-->So is their even a reason to buy Mach 3 Turbo
2)I have seen review on Amazon of Mach 3 turbo 3d where people claim the ball do not move when shaving and if handle is dropped it will get destroyed into 2 or 3 peaces
I will never shave my head with razor
-->So should i buy mach 3 or mach 3 turbo or mach 3 turbo 3d?
3)Is their any huge advantage of buying fusion 5 as its blades are twice expensive and i have heard their is not really a huge difference between 3 blade and 5 blade
-->So should i even consider buying 5 fusion razors are they worth it
4)I am just in a little dillema as if i buy mach 3 i will be happy but if i buy mach 5 fusion proglide i will be able to experiment with different fusion 5 blades but does 5 blade even make that much difference to pay double for every blade what will you recommend
English is not my first language so sorry if there are some mistakes
@@Cidoriginal Hopefully got you covered.
1. Yes, Turbo handle is heavier and personally I like the metallic finish better of the turbo handle.
2. It’s not a big deal, the ball is meant to not move visibly. The movement is subtle and it’s there to correct control error, which I think is a good +, but choice is yours. I have a turbo vs turbo 3D video, do check it out. Let me know if it helped.
3. 4. 5. I only upgraded to Fusions as the my beard became thicker over the years and fusions gave me a quicker better shave, at a cost though💲 💲
So stick to Mach 3 series if it works, it wouldn’t harm in buying a fusion and trying it first, see how you feel. You already know the Mach 3, then you decide what works best for your face and wallet 😎✌️
@allydz Thanks, really appreciate you giving your valuable time to help ,Will buy a fusion and try it out 🙂
One of my best friends got bad razor bumps and irritation when he used the Gillette Fusion, so he switched to beard clippers. Later, I recommend him to use the skinguard and the results were astronomical, his sensitive skin was able to adapt quite well and he faced no irritation or razor bumps.

The issue is there are still very tiny hairs on my face
is that normal?
and what do we do about Beard shadow?
Totally normal. Personally for me my growth has gotten thicker and quicker as I'm growing older. There was a time where I could shave once every 2 weeks and now I need to shave every couple of days. When I exercise regularly, my growth is quicker. This may vary for individuals depending on their lifestyle, DNA, age, testosterone levels, etc; The list goes on. It's not really an issue. The beard shadow; play with it as you like. If you like it, you could use an electric trimmer to even it, if not then do a 3 pass shave.
I know these are expensive but the Skin Guard is the only razor I get the most comfortable complete shave with.
Couldn’t agree more mate. I used it for 3 weeks straight and almost made me forget that my neck had sensitive spots.

@Manu Cotarelo it sure does bud. Aqua is my least favourite cart though, they don’t have a precision trimmer blade which I find quite useful personally

Hello, is the gel that you were talking about proshield blades a marketing gimmick
or actually makes a difference
It’s works brother. It’s a lubricant strip that activates when in contact with water and helps reduce skin irritability. It does ware off as u keep shaving though. Not a marketing gimmick in my opinion and it’s on most quality cart razors.
Thanks for the overview and the tips! I'm posting a comment for future reference to know the perfect match 😉 Gillette Fusion ProGlide Flexball Power + Fusion5 ProShield blades
Awesome 😎
Hello! Which Fusion cartridge is best if you shave every 5-7 days?

Blade Angle : Cartridge razors come with the blades loaded in an angle that is best suitable when the cartridge is placed flush against the skin surface, so you don’t need to worry about blade angles with them
I’m really confused between the mach3 and the mach3 3d. Can you please tell me which one should I pick?

I have been using a cartridge razor for a long time, and am pretty happy with the Gillette Fusion Power which I have been using for several years - and it is a pretty good razor.

Which Gillette razor will give me super closest shave?

@@allydz i live in india..in a week or 2 i willl be moving to doah
@@circuitsince24 I started shaving with the Mach 3, I definitely think Mach 3 Turbo is a great option to start off with. If you are happy with it, look for deals where you can get the turbo cartridges in bulk on offer and save. Razor preference varies from person to person on your growth and skin as well. So be mindful of that.
@@allydz thank you very much for your kind detailed information.Grateful to you?
By the way your good name?
@@circuitsince24 My pleasure. Let me know how you go with your razor. The name is Ally 👍🏼
Are the disposable version the same quality head as the cartridge?
Personally I found a huge difference. They have always clogged for me and the light weight doesn’t work well for me, some people might feel otherwise though. So really varies from person to person, but for me it’s a big no.
@@allydz Thanks do you know if they are supposed to be the same quality steel ect?
@@allydz thanks
On Amazon there toting two types with trimmer and I bought both and I see or feel no trimmer. Did that design change? The blade use to stick out further but I can’t seem to find those anymore. I bought Pro Glide and Fusion Power. I can see with a jewelers loupe it could be considered a trimmer but not the ones I remember. Maybe so no one cuts themselves.
Hey Chris, all of the Fusion blades have the trimmer blade. I would double check the authenticity of the blades TBH. It doesn’t sound right.
@@allydz I saw the trimmer but it’s not what I remember. I’m thinking they changed the design at some point or I’m thinking of a different razor. I did switch to electric razor for 10 years. Thanks! Good video
So all proglide blades are fusion 5, right?
Yes the blades and handles are compatible
@@allydz In my country i find proglide blade with the orange gel, is this old or new model?
There are five different proglide blades from what i see on internet :
Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power with green gel
Gillette Fusion5 ProGlide Power with orange gel
Gillette Fusion5 ProGlide Power with green gel
Gillette ProGlide Power with orange gel
Gillette ProGlide Power with green gel.
@@lestattsia9365 they are all just minor variations with those blades. The orange guard will work totally fine brother. Do look into the differences I pointed out in the video, although minor; some work better than the other completely depending on your skin and hair type. There’s always amazon if you can’t find variants locally. Cheers
can you please tell where i can get those travel case for mach 3 turbo and stand i can't find it on gillete website
@sachin They used to be available on the Gillette website, I couldn’t find it too. I think they have discontinued it or are updating their store online. That’s what the Gillette Australia website is saying at this stage.
does proglide blades compatible with gillettelabs razor?
@Taha No they are not. I have made a comparison video of the Proglide vs Gillette labs as well. Hopefully it helps
Which blade head on the fusion gives the closest shave ?
@Danny Elder Personally for me it’s the Fusion Proglide. I would stress that they really are different for individuals based of skin types, beard thickness etc. My beard is slightly thick and skin does well with aggressive razors too. Hope that helps…
bro I have tons of Gillette contour plus razors I don’t know what to do with them since the handle is broken and they discontinued it
Tried the sensor handle? They look quite similar...
Try a Gillette Atra compatible handle. For example, the Schick Ultrex razor handle. In my country, this handle is sold for $5.50 with 5 cartridges in local pharmacies and supermarkets.
Okay so I'm 17 ,my "beard" isn't alot,I want to trim for the first time,I want to how do I say this, invest in a good razor and handle ,what's your advice,I only want say weekly shaving, please help by giving gour advice please.
I will try my best with some suggestions. I have a few questions for you. Are you looking into cartridge razor only or are open to DE? What razor do you have in mind atm? What is the texture of your facial hair?
@@allydz my facial hair is on the thinner side and not very much,at to claridges or DE I do not know the difference, could you explain what DE is?
Great explanation, got me out of trouble
Haha.. Cheers @Mauricio
3 blade setup best for my skin. Other give me razor burns no matter the saving butter gell foam I use.
@Munnumkhalid that's good brother, it's great you found what works 👍💈
What do you use for shaving head ?
Personally as you can see I don’t shave my head. If I did, I would imagine using Fusion Prosheild
but it's not clear to me... can you match a "Fusion5 ProShield" cartridge, which is not a power cartridge, with a power handle like the "Fusion ProGlide Flexball Power"? Don't you lose the vibration feature with this matching?
The vibration feature is through the handle and has got nothing to do when the cartridge, so no, you cannot loose the vibration feature
@@allydz ok, thank you. I was asking because I may have seen the same cartridge with and without the "power" label on the box.
@@Cirocarbone it’s all marketing my friend. They all work just alike
can i put skinguard blade on proglide power handle?
@@manoemad6587 you sure can ✌️😎
@@allydz i mean it will fit and work, right?
@@manoemad6587 Yes my friend. They have the same head system
How many shaves can be done with just one cartigae
I mean how frequent do we need to change the blade(Cartiage)
@MS_Abhinavofficial They normally go from 5 to 15 shaves on average from what I hear, everyone’s mileage varies with type of skin, hair type, products used, etc.
So you are saying that one can understand by seeing the blades that it's time to change it
Anyway Thanks a lot for your reply
@@MSAbhinavofficial You will come to know when they start feeling blunt straight away. Hope that helps
@@allydz ☺
I m watching this video in 2024 and your video helps me alot. But one thing, you look like Shazam 😂❤
@@danishmulla6463 Hahaha… thanks man. I get that Shazam look alike a lot too.
Well done!! Much appreciated
Thank you 🙏🏼😀
It’s the difference in the head that makes a keeper or not
To a small extend and it really depends on individual preference. I love the flexiball handle but many cannot stand it and prefer the standard fusion style.
What about the blue 3 comfort is it good for down there hair?
I prefer buddy trimmers over razor for the body. Specially in sensitive areas, something with a guard to avoid direct contact.
