- What's it like to stay in the biggest suite that is two levels, includes a piano, jacuzzi on the balcony, and butler?
I stayed in the Royal Loft Suite on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas and it was unlike any other suite or cruise ship cabin I've ever stayed in!

Hey we were in a Grand Loft Suite on Anthem of the Seas in April. Loved it. It is going to be hard to go back to a balcony or inside cabin. Best part of the experience is the Genie. Scheduled every activity for us and skip the line, Unlimited Drink Package, Unlimited Dining, AWESOME EXPERIENCE!
Matt, my appreciation of your channel and your endeavors is such that, rather than lambast you like some of these other folks, I am rather just glad for you and your family that your business is doing well enough that you all can just TREAT YO’ SELVES!! Y’all deserve it!….Also, I’d be a hypocrite to begrudge you something like this-when we Finally got to take the four of us to Hawaii for the first time last year, I splurged for a six night stay at Disney’s Aulani in a 2 Bedroom 1220 sq ft Villa…at $1425/night! (But, OH MAN, IT…WAS…SO…WORTH..IT!)
No worries, Ed. Truly, we stay in all sorts of cabins with the goal of showing what it's like and what the pros and cons are to each. There's an option for everyone, so I try to cover it all.
So fun! So glad your family got to experience this and share it with us!
It because of your great "book early" tip that i snagged a Royal Suite on Liberty OTS a couple years ago. 4K for 7 days including taxes/grat. AMAZING and Spacious!
That is awesome!
One can dream
I have Allure of the Seas booked for 2 cruises in 2024. One is a 3-day cruise, and one is a 4-day cruise. So effectively a 7-day cruise with a 2 month pause between sailings! Lol! I booked Guaranteed balcony cabin on each cruise! Both cruises are really a fantastic deal. My cruise splurge is the 300 sq ft Aurea cabin suite + 75 sq ft balcony with hot tub on MSC Seashore in couple of weeks for less than 1700 dollars on a 4-night cruise. The $7K+ price point is too rich for my budget for the Allure but it looks fantastic.
Oh, this suite is another world to me. I usually cruise in an inside cabin, and can't even imagine cruising in this room type, to be honest.
I'd LOVE to give it a go at some point - maybe these short cruises it the way to go, just to see what it's like on the other side of the threshold!
What a great room !!!
I do not think I would live the room if I did not have to.
Love how mad people get with this video. There's groups on FB dedicated to just Star Class guests for reasons like this. If someone posts about star class in the main Royal groups, they get GRILLED about how they are "wasting money" etc. It gets old.
Its nice to know something like that is available. If not for videos like this alot of folks would not know these suites are available.
Thanks so very much for sharing this with us Matt.
Hey Matt we just got off the Oasis of the seas last week and we followed all your advice thru your past and present videos of what to do on oasis. Were to eat and were to go and I have to say you were spot on brotha. Everything was amazing. The restaurants you stated to eat at were great. We wrote down your suggestions and followed them to the letter and we had an amazing time on and off the ship. Thank you so much for all you do. We're doing wonder of seas in 70 days for a back to back 14 day caribbean cruise and were already putting a list of your picks together. If we see you on a cruise were buying you dinner at any specialty restaurant of your choice. Thank you again.
You are correct about Allure having affordable suites in their short cruises out of Port Canaveral. I was able to use my casino comp and upgrade it to a 2 bedroom grand suite with private hut tub at a good price. As a result, in addition to taking my wife, I am taking my daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter on a short adventure to Coco Cay. Added bonus was it will be my daughter's birthday, so I get extra daddy points ;)
The suite is worth every penny. I had this suite on the Harmony of the Seas for 7 nights and booked it for a 8 night cruise on the Oasis of the Seas. You have to really enjoy the room and like privacy. I did not want to leave. The royal genie makes everything so easy when cruising. I cruise less so I can get this room. Matt love all the videos and chats you do.
Well, maybe if I ever hit the Powerball or Mega Millions...
If you can afford it, do it. You only live once. If you don’t have the money then so be it. You’ll still have a great time but you nailed it when you said this is not about a dollar to dollar value rather than just treating yourself. Glad you had the opportunity to do so.
We sailed Star Class in the Royal Loft Suite on Quantum of the Seas and we're blown away by the experience. It's hard not to sail SC after that. In the year since we have only booked 1 non SC suite and only because it's a different cruiseline but are doing 3 more SC cruises in 2024 and thanks to a friend will get to do the Royal Loft on Allure in 2025. So thank you for this video because it's given us a lot more to look forward to.
Could you please do a similar in-depth tour style video on the Ultimate Family Townhouse on the Icon class ships when they start next year, I’d be really interested to have a tour of that!!
Great idea!
Videos like this only make me wish Royal Caribbean allowed you to search their site via cabin type. Sometimes dates don't matter. I'd LOVE to stay in a suite (regardless of the itinerary) but need a deal to make it happen. But Royal doesn't allow you to just search suite prices. :-(
Great video.
Travel agent?
@@briankeller9848I have one -- and they're great -- but I like to look myself. :-)
It took me years to get the Royal loft suite😮
There are websites that let you search only by suite type (Royal Loft Suite).
The cheapest right now:
3/22/25 - Ovation in Sydney $5792 for 2 passengers including taxes/fees.
03/07/25 - Quantum in Brisbane for $6712
In the USA:
2/2/24 - Allure of the seas 3 night Orlando for $7818.
@@AdamBrianDadaWhich site is that??
Great video, and in the name of research lets book the Royal Suite. Love It!!!
I truly appreciate the variety of your content.
Keep it coming and thank you!
Thanks, will do!
That suite is larger than my entire house.
That looks like a great way to spend a cruise :D I'd probably stick to using the outdoor jacuzzi tub since the main tub in the bathroom looks really hard to get in/out of.
That is a lovely suite. Pricy, yet lovely.
I'm definitely going to book one of these suites.
In my dreams I’d stay in a cabin like that!
You ballin'.
That Suite is really posh and beautiful. I'll never do it. But good for you Boychik.
Wow! Amazing! Bli Ayin H'ara. I would have purchased the most beautiful tefillin on earth for less than half that price though.
You aren't wrong. We sailed in Star Class going to Alaska in 2022. Aside from the ports, what was most memorable? Our Genie, Rahul, and the service we received from him. Given how prices have increased, i doubt we'll ever sail Star Class again (Sky Class is our preferred splash out category). That said, the level of service we received from Rahul was far beyond anything we really expected.
I love your attitude! That's the way I cruise - to get away. Splurge for one week of the year!
My wife and I sail in suites all the time, but on a 3-day cruise I think I can honestly say that I would not leave that room for entire cruise! I'd eat all my meals there and wouldn't get off the ship at all! That's beautiful!
Same!!! So peaceful and don't have to deal with other people or their bratty crotch goblins!!!
I’d never be able to go back! Although my bank account would disagree. 😂
Nice suite, but too rich for my blood! Thanks for the tour and info!
I think you and I need to talk one on one about 'affordable'. Haha.
That thing is bigger than my house 😅
I think it is good to try Star class. Why not . We stay in Grand suite and it was very nice.
I'm quite curious if you ever found that being on the back of the ship there you noticed the smell of the diesel exhaust. Sometimes when we were at the Flowrider or even the Aquatheater I could smell the exhaust. Fairly noticeable there and the suites are even closer.
In my dreams 😂
That is a good deal 👌. Can you imagine that a simple balcony on Icon cost more than that... i book my icon for May ,deck 12 balcony for les $4000..
My deam would so wnat to try that
Matt, you said that you can order room service from specialty restaurants in that suite, is that cost completely covered if you have the ultimate dining package? What “different” things did you have your genie do for you? I saw Starbucks, what kind of deal do you get for that since it’s not on the deluxe drink package? Just trying to see my total savings if I can ever afford Star Class. Love this video! Thank you!
Staying in star class includes all the meals. So you don’t need to buy a dining package (or drink package). So yes, it’s all included including delivery to the suite
Regarding the ice cream at the end, do you know where the Genie brings it from? Is it from Cups and Scoops or is it a special, additional charge?
Any food the Genie brings is included at no additional charge
How are the sleeping arrangements for a family with 2 teens? It seems like most of the Royal Caribbean suites only have 1 bed. My teenage son and daughter certainly don't want to share a pull out coach. Especially if we are paying suite prices. Would be nice if they incorporated pullman or murphy beds into their suites.
Will Asia or Australia ever get an Oasis class ship?
Hi Matt question: Sailing the wonder of the seas on February 4th is Royal Caribbean going to let you book your unlimited specialty dinning package on the app soon or do we have to wait till we get on board and fight the crowds. I heard come December they were going to do that? Thank you.
I wouldn’t expect that change to occur until later in 24. So plan to book onboard with the dining package
@@RoyalCaribbeanBlog ok thanks Matt that's a bummer 😕
Does the cruise line cut the price on their cruises a day or 2 before it sets sail? I may be spending some time in Florida next year and may want to do a few cruises with upgraded suites but without the upgraded costs.
Definitely not
Hey Matt, when you book a cruise to Royal Carribean and you buy the insurance, does that automatically include evacuation insurance?
No, make sure you check the policy
Im wondering if you had family/friends on the ship but were staying in another stateroom type. (For example, you are in Royal Suite and your BFF and his family are staying in an inside cabin) If you could host a dinner party in the Royal Suite, from the specialty restaurants, and they don't have to pay or is that considered an extra expense?
Every genie is different, so it's hard to say. My genie was adamant that suite/genie benefits were for only those in the suite.
That being said, I have absolutely seen that scenario you describe happen. So I'm really not sure what to say for you to expect other than probably not, but never hurts to ask.
Do your suite gratuities cover the staff in Coastal Kitchen or just the MDR?
Both, either. They don't discern between the two.
@@RoyalCaribbeanBlog Thanks for the info. We were in a two room suite on the Harmony last week and ate most our dinners in Costal Kitchen. We tipped extra there but not for the few dinners we had at MDR. Thanks for all the great content you provide, it is very helpful.
Rooms only for the HIGH spenders, NOT for average people, that's the problem with these new ships
Your kids are going to be spoiled now! 😂
Too late!
Why was there a red ice chest cooler under the stairs?
I thought the same thing! LOL
They brought it in to have a stock of extra beers and soft drinks
Yeah, all that opulence and they put in a red igloo. LOL
Curious about something…what WOULD have been the cost of two connecting balconies for this equivalent cruise, which is what you’d have ordinarily booked for this type of cruise, if I remember you stating frequently?? I’m guessing it wouldn’t have been THAT close to $7k but I’m also sure that it wouldn’t have been chicken feed either!
for that cruise, about $2200 before drink and food packages (which are included in in sky)
Oh I'm sure 2 connecting balcony rooms would have been way cheaper. As I said in the video, you can't look at a suite as a money-saving opportunity or even a value. It's a splurge.
The only issue I have with spending this much money on a suite is that 3 days is not enough time to enjoy it
I would love to stay in that cabin. Is it 7000 pet person?
That was total for all 4 of us
That’s insane for a 3 night lol. Never.
Sucks to be you!😅
First 3 min are trying to explain why he spent so much money on a room, haha! No thanks.
Context is important
If someone wants to watch me take a shower, thats their problem, not mine.
😂
If that was for a week it would be great not for a weekend
Can’t afford icon. $9000 for a balcony
You're being disingenuous by not stating that Royal Caribbean sponsored this vlog. I don't believe for a second that they didn't. And if they didn't, you're a fool. Btw genius content idea.
You're completely wrong to think they sponsored this vlog. I paid for the room, just like anyone else. Not sure why you'd jump to that conclusion because you wouldn't pay for this room.
🤡🤡🤡🤡
@@RoyalCaribbeanBlog Hey man I'm sorry for that. I'm heading out on a cruise on Sunday, first time ever. Should be fun.
Just my option but new CEO new ideas. 3/4 cruises are a horrible idea. They are just a drunk fest. And I have talked to many employees from guest services, front desk staff and house keeping! They HATE 3/4 with a passion! And that will show. Embarkation/debarkation day are hard enough. I don’t think this idea will last more that 2 years. What a waste
$7,400 for 4 people for 3 nights..... come on Matt. You know your audience; I know you do. That's crazy low in value. You can pay 60% that for 7 nights in Europe on a balcony. Everyone should consider that between the write offs and corporate expenses; that you as a person is not simply bearing out this cost from your personal vacation budget.
Are there people that book these suites? Yes. Is it a lot of people? No. But that doesn’t mean we don’t cover it.
The goal is to cover all of Royal Caribbean, not just the inexpensive or even affordable. If Royal has it, it’s part of the equation and someone may find it useful.
Most people probably see this and are just curious what the room looks like and what you get.
If you can’t or won’t, that’s fine. It’s just one option that’s out there, not an indictment in the audience that everyone needs to pay for these kind of rooms.
Thank you for saying what we are all thinking! I am appreciative of this channel, but I feel Matt has gone from a glass half full guy, to a straight up spokesperson for RCI. This video is especially laughable after recently watching his scathing video saying how bad Disney Cruise values are, and him admitting he never sailed on any other line until he sailed on Celebrity earlier this year (which is also owned by Royal Caribbean).
Not all of us were thinking that. It is nice to see what the different staterooms are and benefits they offer whether or I plan to or have booked a suite. Take the information for just that..information.
Yeah well some of us like seeing different things. Stop complaining.
You realize this channel is called Royal Caribbean Blog right? lol@@thomashoang6789
