- Jenna sailed on the world's largest cruise ship and one of the smallest, so here's what it's like to try both.
Disclosure: Poseidon Adventures invited us to sail at no additional cost, but opinions are our own.

This would be a great Bucket List Cruise, but my bucket isn't made of gold. 😔 Missing was the cost of getting to Argentina.
Thank you Jenna.
A great video packed with information to consider on the pros and cons of an expedition cruise.
Glad it was helpful!
That was great. Love the comparison.
You know what Mr. DJ Voice I sailed on ship like that too. It was Regency Cruise lines and EVERYTHING was included ! All shore excursions, all booze, all dry cleaning and laundry, 24/7 room service, NO TIPS. At the end of the cruise it cost the SAME after I paid for all those extras on RC !
The only thing I worry about cruising on a small ship is seasickness; I know the movement would be much more noticable!
That video footage is stunning! 🤩
Thank you!
Royal has done a great job of making the cruising public believe all their ships are new like Icon. Many are - but most are not. Know what you want before you book. And as a bonus thought from this Diamond Plus cruiser - the new MDR menus are just too narrow in choice, small minded. Matt on this channel sold his opinion on the Royal idea of getting people in and out of the MDR faster. That’s fine. His opinion and his channel. We’ve been on 4 ships with the new menu and it’s underwhelming. The MDR is where those who can’t or won’t pay up to eat elsewhere with better food and service which is what the Mega ships are all about now.
This is fantastic content. Thank you!
Great video. Very informative. This helped cross out expedition crusing from list. 👍
New goal unlocked! Sounds like we should take a group cruise to Antarctica!
Awesome video! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it
As a artist. That must of been breathtaking to see all those different sights and such. Sadly, like many artist. I need to win the lotto in order to afford to go on it.
Great video. I'd love to take this kind of cruise at least once. Just to have done it
Go for it!
I'd like to see this channel explore even other cruise ships in the RC group. I know a few celebrity videos are up now, how about Silverseas? I went one a Silverseas this summer to Greece and absolutely loved it. I bet you have enough audience that can afford or would splurge of cruises like this and Silverseas.
*Silversea
Iv done small cruises of 30 passengers with GAdventures through the Amazon. A large ship on 23 night cruise from Seattle to Australia. I thoroughly enjoyed everything on both for very very different reasons.
An Amazon cruise would be really fascinating!
It truly was, and for all the same reason's the Antarctica seemed equally as fascinating, just different climates and ecosystems, etc. Very unique experiences. If I didn't detest the cold so very much I would really love to do the Antarctica expedition. Thanks for sharing your experience and opinions.
This type of cruise would be a waste of my money. I hate or rather detest cold weather. 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶
Great video! I’d love to go but I think the Drake Shake would kill me!! How was the shake for you? Thought might have heard a bit about it in the video
I have a more comprehensive video of the experience on our sister channel, Cruise Blog, and I cover the Drake Passage in that video!

Adding Antarctica to my bucket list!
Going in 2 weeks, no expectations at all, so will not be disappointed😅.
I will take royal caribbean. Hands down. I think personally I would be bored to tears. And I would rather be in a tropical paradise.
I can do both! Cruising prices are getting to be too much for me though.
I’m far too introverted to eat with people I don’t know so I’d be in my room the entire time
Thank you for this info. In your opinion, what is the best time period of the year to go to Antarctica?
Cruises run from November to March! I went in November and thought the weather was really nice and the snow was pristine as it was early in the season so not many people had been there yet.
My last cruise was along the Norwegian coast, 130 passengers. Next cruise 2 weeks ago 2017 passengers, so unfriendly & anti social. Small is best on ships😅.
I sailed on a cruise ship with 1 passenger, it was awesome
Doesn't seem like they'd allow just 2 passengers lol.
It looks beautiful. But it looks way too cold for me.
But did you go... Beyond the Mountains of Madness? Kidding.
Surprised that this wasnt about Celebrity's expedition ship Flora.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
