Homefront Review (PC)

Russian and our super great friend North Korea have invaded us a lot in pop culture from the 1984 Red Dawn film to the 2012 Red Dawn film and many other video games….
Homefront is the same invasion trope video game, but where other games blow this trend out of the water this lends something to be desired.

This was actually the first modern military shooter I owned for my PS3 because I didn't get it until November 2011. I find it odd they wanted the squad to be composed of civilians being what makes it different from other shooters but then they decided to make both the protagonist, and one of the squadmates discharged Marines. I thought the second game was better personally. And that both were better then the Red Dawn reboot. I've watched the original Red Dawn a couple of dozen times. The reboot I watched completely twice and there were a couple of times I started watching it only to be interrupted before finishing my first complete viewing.

You know I played that and put about 10 hours into it and really got bored of it. So I might go back to it and make a review for it. Time will tell 😅
