    I had Rublev to win on Stake but I will be honest I wasn't even happy and Rublev didn't seem happy himself, you never wanna win by someone getting injured, he was actually being a great sport here by not celebrating and looking after his opponent ❤

    Andrey looked so sad when his opponent retired. He looked as if he didn't even want to celebrate his victory. I'm glad he's through to the semi-finals, though. I wish him well for tomorrow ❤

      @@dtuyyyywell at the end of the day you need to win points besides you need to play seven ‘best others’ tournaments in order to make it into the Nitto Finals.
      Not to mention the money prize.
      A win is a win.

      I hardly ever see him look this sad. Very concerned for his friend and of course he wanted to play the match and not receive a default to the semi's. Best of luck to Andrey, he's one of my favorite players on the tour.

      I saw him for the first time against Djokovic in 2023 RG i think. Really talented player, easy power off both wings. A bit Federer - esque. Although he needs more consistency for a major breakthrough

      No booing to Bu, the dude is a nifty player. FAA is then again a frustrating one. We must just settle for a little less with him. The ATP 500 title is his ceiling. Not bad, not bad at all.

      @@graymcmic1419 can’t be . How do you win ? Rublev was long odds on to win , Rublev was winning easily. Where is the cash to be won? Bets are void at most sites , and at other sites after 1 set is played Rublev would be declared winner anyway. No match fixing here .?

      @markholzl7575 absolutely no advantage comes from doing that either, nothing. A pessimistic view would be “just did it to be an asshole”? But it’s likely that he was just considering his injury and the time was “now” to stop . Probably nothing in it to be fair to him.

      Basilashvili is a big fixer. Him, Karatsev and their coach were investgated for matchfixing. Karatsev ex girfriend was lifetime banned from tennis after founding that she matchfixed atleast 6 matches and she got another charge for refusing to co-operate on the investigation. I think atp and the whole tennis organization are protetcing themself by not wanting these top players to be banned for matchfixing becuase it will be a big scandal for them and they will have a lot of issues

    Damn Basilashvili.
    I used to really like this player, but you should have the basic decency to let your opponent serve out the set, especially when it was that close. It left a bad impression imo.

      @ I agree in general. However, the matter is the scoreline. There was literally just one point left to play. He was able to walk all the way up to the net, so it would have cost him nothing to just stand and let Rublev serve to close out the set.

    Good to see Kovacevic into the semi finals - very nice style - particularly backhand. He is closing down the court even better. And can see he is snapping his wrist more on his forehand at point of contact. Reminds me of another talented player - Karatsev.

      I mean he made an ace so why not? It makes him unpredictable and the opponent always has to watch out. I wonder why it is not used more often on the tour. If done good the underarm serve can be really effective

      You can be annoyed that he doesn't take matches seriously, but don't compare him to Kyrgios. He doesn't trash talk, yell at umpires, smash rackets, etc.
