I wonder if this will work on a stick oil filter

I just bought this tool literally an hour ago and attempted to remove the handles on my tub. The pin snapped off and is now lodged tightly in the screw hole. Creating a new problem on top of the existing one.

This exact thing just happened to me!! What did you do after that?

spin the whole tap anti clockwise with a plumber's wrench until the whole spindle comes off with handle attached. Replace with new spindle & handle or just grind the handle off.

Now, lets see you do that with a handle that's not been removed in 10 years.

That's great for those cheap faucet handles but this tool doesn't seem like it would work if the faucet handle is curved and has no place for the middle part of the device to fit into (some bathroom delta faucet handles are like this).

I just bought this today and tried to use it on my bathroom tub faucet handles, but it did not work. They are stuck on there pretty hard and I turned the handle of the tool to the point where I could not continue to turn. Not sure what to do about removing the handles at this point, but the tool did not work for me on very hard stuck handles.

Sorry that the puller did not work, it must really be corroded on the stem. Try the following steps: Hope it helps!
      A) Make sure to remove the center screw that is underneath the hot or cold plastic screw cover. Pull on the handle to remove it.
      B) Spray lubricant to breakup gunk. Let it sit for a while. Try to remove handle with puller.
      C) Heat the handle with a hair dryer to melt the scum on the handle and try again before the assembly cools.
      D) Put the center stem of the faucet puller into the screw hole. The outer bars are placed on the faucet handle with the feet underneath. Turn handle on puller clockwise to slowly pull hand up toward you.

Drill holes between the spindle & handle. Less surface area between the both. Then try the Tap Puller.

This video is useless as are the instructions that come with the tool. For many handles -- and particularly stuck on handles -- you will need to thread the brass attachment onto the main shaft so that you can correctly orient the puller to the handle and get a firm grip between top and bottom. The tool works well when you do this, but if you don't, the slender part of the shaft is liable to get damaged. Anyway, the video with the screw only two or three turns in and the handle coming off with the puller at an extreme angle is a farce and does not give a good idea of how the product should (and does) work when used properly.

This things tip got pernamently stuck in the valve stem behind the handle, making a stressful project a complete cluster F@#k and costing me a hell of a lot more! Dont buy this tool, it's cheap and poorly designed. Spend the extra dollars on something better because trust me, it will be well worth it.
