Had a first fight with brawler today as a charger. Had literally the most fun I had in this game. I felt like I found a brother I was separated in childhood
Fighting ranger in this game truly gives you the Xiao reception experience (getting solemn lamented before you can do anything substantial in the fight)

The thing about the vigilante match up is that these classes can snipe from out of vigilante's range, have ways to beat his dash sp, with assassin being able to do this without any light. a competent vigilante will always lose to a competent assassin.
this guy summed up my feelings about brawler in less than a minute. clean hits are really hard to get, despite everyone saying "just figure out the range its easy", especially with how many you lose on taking damage, and how necessary they are to increase stun time and subsequently the length of your turn. for example, i took a 6 combo from a brawler once. the class itself demands perfection, and has an extremely high skill ceiling. it's nothing short of elitist gameplay, and if you have the skill for it you will literally never lose.
yeah you perfectly summarized what I felt like when learning the Brawler. It's the strongest class in the game in the right hands, but it's stupidly hard to learn and get good at

Brawler is basically a skill check from the word go. If you can't distance right? No combos, no damage, NO bitches. If you land a single clean hit though you can damn near 100-0 with a few button presses

If you had charger, ranger, or gunner, you literally could not die due to how stupid it was. a 50% chance to get 10 of your hp back whenever you dropped a “combo” and you get this on EMOTION LEVEL ONE. they nerfed it so it’s only 5 hp back (which is good because you would never lose a single stock)
