Knight King it’s all the data which is transmitted to the teams from the car. In this case he refers to speed, gear change and rev counter, throttle and brake application. These graphics were always part of the tv feed in the early 2010s and they were perfect. Idk why they changed it to this dumb halo counter which isn’t even synced.
@@prashikjadhav3954 a measurement of forces and details about the car such as g force, speedometer, how much throttle or brake is active, what gear the car is in and I’m sure there’s more.

Having followed F1 since late 90's I remember Senna's record with 65 poles felt pretty much "unreachable". And now Hamilton is seriously about to smash 100. Hats off.

People want to make excuses about Lewis having the fastest car but he wins because he's with the most efficient team. The problem for every other team and driver is that the Mercedes-AMG Petronas, Lewis Hamilton combination is just so deadly, even before Bottas arrived.

@@jomillen5131 On the contray, Leclerc for his first year in a massively more powerful car and 2nd total year in F1 is doing exceptionally and Ferrari can see that. He's been putting in blisteringly fast laps all over the place but he needs to improve how he communicates issues and car perfomance to the team so they can make changes to the car.

For me Singapore 2018 proved me it wasn’t just the car. Back when Red Bull and Ferrari were superior through the corners, in a circuit with 23 corners he pulled through with a superb lap

I dont know, i picked fault with Hams lines on certain corners vut i know im wrong to do so as the proofs in the lap time, he knows where the grip is and he pulls it out the bag pretty often.

Edit : Btw their incompetence goes beyond mechanical failures, it's much more than only that. Don't have to point each of their mistakes this year, it's kinda pointless, if anyone with enough knowledge of anything has seen this season will notice who had been doing their homework.

@ulapo- All times are relevant according to atmospheric conditions- last year we did not have the extreme heat which was the case with Hamilton's lap... The tyres are different and aero too just make some sense when trying to be smart...
Last year there was an extra drs zone and also, cars this year are slower as they have more downforce cuz of that bigger rear wing so don't try and stir up some bullshit when you don't even know the facts.
Lewis is so much faster than other pilots that even making 2 mistakes he's on pole position

Poetry in motion! The speed he carried through T1 and the semi lift in T12 then instantly back to full throttle just shows why he is the best. Not even a perfect lap and he's kinda ill right now too but he is still capable of blowing away everyone, shame about the Ferraris but I think they would have still been beaten by this astonishing performance.
Why does Hamilton take the corner at 0:32 so far off the apex? was it a mistake or on purpose? ... I dont know, but sometimes hamilton takes weird lines in qualifying, but it works for him

What on earth happened to Ferrari? After FP2 & 3 I was really expecting a battle from them especially with red bull
they are not hitting some apexes on purpose, it seems slower but the track does not have the same grip everywhere.
@@ajunta2270 Interesting, thanks for pointing this out. Some of Hamilton's lines did look odd. For example through turn 2 and into the hairpin.
@@tomosborne4702 Yup. Not all drivers have exactly the same lines, but most of them go wide in turn 2 and in the hairpin.
Hamilton actually had tighter lines through turns 8-9-10 and then in 13 compared to Verstappen.
Snap at 0:48 definitely worth a tenth
It also seems he let go of the throttle a bit early at the end of the lap, don’t know if it is just me
The fact that this lap took pole really illustrates how much pace Mercedes has over the other teams at the moment.
Missed apexes, big twitches, late getting back on the power.... even when Mercedes struggles to get the setup dialed in, their package is still good enough to outperform everyone else on track

Approximately half a second slower than last season's pole time. The second time so far that no one has managed to better the outright track record on a given circuit this season.

Scott Wilson thought he had problems in fp3 so that could be it
I think it was a strong solid lap, but he didn't nail S3 as he did in his second Q3 lap which was bonkers and way better than any S3 he had done or any other driver had done for the weekend. Sure Lewis had some small moments but he's on the edge in the car other than in S3 on his banker lap where he was somewhat cautious knowing he had a strong solid lap more or less secured to build on for the second lap.

Joligram M if we’re going to do “what if” then you can say “what if?” about every driver on the grid. Schumacher could have had 9, maybe 10 titles in another world. He could have had less in another. Same for Hamilton. It takes a huge amount of luck on top of huge amounts of skill to win so many titles.
Hamilton is incredible, no doubts. But as always, it’s never as simple as “driver A is better than driver B”. There have been many drivers in the sport on the same caliber as Hamilton, Schumacher, Senna... but very few get the luck to take 5+ titles.
