Why not? Why is having some bored person making minimum wage who isn't allowed to sit down wave your purchases over a light so important to you? What do you get from that "service?"

@@OsirisMalkovichno. That’s the point. So why not use the checkout people to at least push back against the way the company has offloaded labor onto consumers? That’s what the original comment is saying.

@@joeburly How is having a bored teenager wave your groceries over a laser 'pushing back' against anything? What benefit are you getting from having another person handle your purchases for a few seconds before you take them away?
