Ive been visiting the eastern sierras in late april early may for the last 30 years for trout opener and I can honestly say Ive learned about more interesting places to explore from this video than any of my own personal research. Thank you. Also. Nice drone work. Well done.

Thanks so much - we are glad it was helpful - such a pretty place - and a fantastic place to fish trout as well :). Appreciate the comment and enjoy your summer.

Wow, you brought back some emotional memories. My wife and I were married in June Lake in 1975. Lived in June Lake, Mammoth and Crowley for 30+ yrs. Terrific video and narration. I was a Deputy Sheriff in Mono County, worked for Mammoth Police Dept when Mammoth incorporated and ultimately became the elected Sheriff of Mono County. I live in Nevada now but truly miss the Eastern Sierra. Thank you for your video and will watch your others.

Wow, thank you so much for sharing your story with us! It's truly an honor to hear how our video brought back such special memories for you and your wife. 💒 The Eastern Sierra holds a special place in many people's hearts, and it sounds like you had an incredible life there. We're so glad our video could transport you back to those cherished times. 🏔️
We're also grateful for your service as a Deputy Sheriff and Sheriff in Mono County. It's people like you who keep our communities safe and thriving. 🙏
Bob lived up in that area myself in the mid 80's, and my brother still does (works at Convict lake).
Thank you for watching our videos, and we hope you enjoy exploring the rest of our adventures! We're always excited to share the beauty and wonder of our travels with fellow RVers and nature enthusiasts. 🚐💨"

I have very fond memories of staying in the cabins on the Arcularius Ranch with my dad back in the late 1960's. I was just a kid, probably 9 or 10, and those experiences started a lifelong exploration of the Eastern Sierra...

What a fortunate experience! I developed my love of the sierras in much the same manner - trips up to the area with Dad. Thanks so much for watching and the comment! Happy holidays! 😀

Yeah, fossil falls campground is just $6/night. It doesn't include anything really, just a place to park but it is pretty. We have driven by that for many many years and finally stopped: www.blm.gov/visit/fossil-falls-campground. We love the Eastern Sierra - super pretty area - I lived up there for a number of years in my youth and have very fond memories. If you guys head down there sometime drop us a line - maybe we can meet you - its just 7 or so hours north for us! Thanks again for the comment and support - really appreciate it :)

Nice video! Been fishing and camping in the Eastern Sierra for many, many years. It's my favorite part of California! I've boondocked several times off of Owens River Road, where you were. But, since I have a truck camper, I can get farther away from the road. I subscribed since you have a lot of Eastern Sierra content. Safe travels!

Thanks for the comment and the sub! Yes it's a wonderful area - i had the pleasure of living up there for several years back in the 80s and my brother still does :) We just finished another trip up there and will make a video of it eventually too! Truck camper is the way to go up there - so many places you can access! Best wishes to you, Bob and Dang

If you ever watch the old Journey to the Center of the Earth movie with James Mason you will see early in the film it has scenes in it from Fossil Falls area and Little Lakes reservoir.

Love the Video. We are planning trip to the Eastern Sierra this summer with our fifth wheel mostly dispersed. Great content! love the drone footage. I have a few drones including an Inspire, Phantom and Air 2s. Recently mounted my insta 360 to the Phantom with great results.... You are my primary source of research so thank you very much. We will end up crossing over to PCH with 2 weeks at Kirk Creek Campground then slowly heading back to home in Phoenix. Keep the videos coming! Thanks again.

Glad this was helpful for you. You will have a blast on your trip - and there are lots of very cool places to drone there - just have to investigate a bit to make sure not in a wilderness area , but other than that its wide open. Thanks for the comment! We have 3 more coming out in this series, hopefully over the next few weeks

Great overview! I am heading to June Lake in a couple weeks and plan to stay at Owens River Road Dispersed. Do you recall about haw far in your drove to find your spot? I have Starlink as well, so that area looks like a good blend of trees and ability for Starlink to hit satellites. Thanks!

If I recall it was not that far in - maybe .8 miles or so and on the right. we could see owens river road from our spot but it was not so close that we had noise problems. There are a lot of places out there and at the time you are going probably it will be even less busy (we were there in late september). Keep an eye on the weather you never know what will happen at this time of year - but it should be gorgeous with the fall colors during your visit. Thanks for watching and glad you liked it. Have a great trip! Bob and Dang

Thanks for the comment! There are some sites off owens river road that have pretty decent roads leading to them, so I would not let our footage deter you. Of course one needs to check before commiting to a road. What we didn't show but probably should have is that we unhooked the trailer and scouted out a bunch of roads/spots to make sure we could get in there okay. Big springs campground is just down owens river road a bit too (we did a 360 video of that) and it's pretty easy to get in and out of. Thanks again!

Great video and one of my favorite parts of California. I so appreciate that you pronounced Mono correctly. I like watching RUclips vids about the Eastern Sierra but mispronounced Mono always makes me...ugggh!

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I fear I may have not done quite so well on a few of the other pronunciations though - I softened up the R in Arcularius and didn't realise it until I had uploaded the video. Also - some of the indian pronunciations are tricky for me.
