      Yes, Dang does have a nice setup - that monitor gets calibrated regularly for color accuracy. So while it's a bit of a pain to travel with (rides on the bed during travel days) its very helpful in the editing process. Thanks for the comment - we love hearing from you!. BTW we are thinking about spending a few months up in the Eastern Sierra this summer - so maybe we run into you up there. Take care!

    NO DANG.... I don't want any of that sauce 8) I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy stuff. Do you have a link for that map that you have on the wall behind you in the dinette? I really like that one. That is so interesting about the river changing course and no longer feeding the lake. So impressive what month nature can do. As always Bob your story telling is magical and Dang's drone footage in TOP NOTCH

      Thanks so much @thewanderingshores for dropping by. You can observe the sauce from a safe distance when we see you in AZ soon :) That's the best way to experience it - believe me ! I will look for that map - it was a gift from our daughter a few years back - I'm pretty sure she got it on Amazon. I'll comment here again when I find out. Thanks again for the nice feedback - we really do appreciate it. We are heading over to your channel now to watch your Snowbird Mesa video - We have almost camped there a half dozen times but never actually done it - so that is going to be very helpful. Hello Bob and Dang, you finally got that bear footage. The road seems better than I thought It would be. I didn't even know there is jade in Alaska. Good interview Dang👍. Wow congratulations on reaching the Yukon. Great campsite you did goid. Thank you for sharing have a blessed day.

      Thanks Donnie for dropping by! Yes finally got some bear footage -to bad I stopped so quickly it nocked the camera down - would have been better footage had I not done that -but I didn't know which way that bear was going to go and definitely didn't want to hit it! That road was really nice - were were pleasantly surprised - no shoulders - that's the only real issue there but we drive on plenty of roads like that. Next episode - should be out tomorrow - well lets just say the road gets a bit worse :). Safe travels!

    I didn’t realize how much boondocking you guys were going to be doing on this trip…kudos to you for being brave enough to do that!!! You sure have found some fantastic spots ❤ absolutely stunning! I’m also kicking myself for not trying to make a slow cooker dinner while we drive! • @bobanddangsjourney
      @bobanddangsjourney 11 дней назад

      Hi Kim, we did a fair amount of boondocking - its much more convenient as we can get a whole work day in the following day, then travel in the afternoon after work. That schedule never works well in RV parks. The slow cooker worked great, we will do that more often in the future. We don't normally buy pre-seasoned foods but we thought this would be nice for a quick departure in the morning - minimal mess or prep. And it was good, though it would be better if we did it from scratch :). Looking forward to catching up with you guys for sure. Will you be doing a session at the Grand Design Rally in Quartzsite again ? Safe travels!

      We are the same when it comes to enjoying the flexibility of boondocking without scheduled check in/out times. It’s nice that you had so much daylight to travel later into the evening hours after working a full day. I may be doing 1 or 2 sessions at the rally. Bobby and I wanted to do a Dutch oven cooking session but I think Becky wants me to do something similar to my session last year too. We don’t have any details yet so I’m looking for ideas. Do you have any suggestions? I’d love to hear them 😊

Especially over salmon Glacier was amazing excellent narration and just beautiful footage. This was very enjoyable and you made us even more excited to make it on a RV Roadtrip through Alaska! Down the Hatch!!😊

      Really happy you liked it. You guys know how much work goes into these and we really appreciate the feedback. It was a great trip and gets better. Hyder is definitely worth doing if you go up the Cassiar highway. And that highway is so pretty - why not ? Everclear is not our favorite beverage, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! Thanks again guys looking forward to meeting up with you one of these days! Safe travels

    Hello Bob and Dang. Glad to hear Dang. Glad to see they still use coins at the laundry in Alaska. I never heard of Tim Horton looks i need to find one. That was a sketchy entrance to your boondock site. Hyder seemed like nice place to bad you couldn't film in the bar. Have a good day.

      Hi Donnie, thanks for watching! Yes almost all the laundry up there used coins. In canada they needed those Loonies ($1 coins), we got a bunch of them. I don't know how many Tim Hortons are down here in the lower 48 - we told our daughter about it who was in Hawaii at the time, and she happened to find one right next to where they were staying! Imagine that. Hyder was fun, but it would be better if the bears were out. Our friends @GoldenAnniversaryAdventure filmed some good bear action there earlier in this video: ruclips.net/video/7ihzXCWb_bA/видео.htmlsi=eJRI_x7gIhJul2aG That's what we were hoping for, ,but now we will have to go back :) Thanks as always for the support and happy camping!

      Thank you guys - it means a lot to us to get positive feedback from you. Hyder was a lot of fun, and you can actually get there without having to drive 8,000 miles! It could be a trip in itself... The road gets rougher ahead though :). Thanks again and see you soon❤️

    Sooo dang cool! Just like our Mammoth trip last year we followed your lead on where to go and what to do. Alaska is not on our list for next year but probably 2 or 3 down the road. Look forward to seeing you guys at Quartzite in February for the Grand Design rally. Probably doing Lees Ferry in a few weeks. Already watched your video again for that trip. All is well. Keep the videos coming. 😊

      Thats awesome - if you guys can manage a trip up to Alaska I know it would be the trip of a lifetime - like for us. Lees ferry should be fantastic this time of year - that is really a stunningly beautiful place! If you can camp out in that soap creek area where we boondocked I think you will like it a lot - not too far from the park entrance either. Or mix it up with camping in the campground as well- that was a very nice place (note they do close the dump station seasonally). Definitely looking forward to swapping stories about our travels over the past year when we see you guys in Quartzsite. Have a great trip and thanks for the comment - Bob and Dang

    Now if that didn't impress nothing will. How beautiful and what an amazing place to visit ( overall comment). Now for the bits and pieces 🤣.The bbq meal looked delicious. Nice to have seats along the river. Nothing like a bit of shopping. Oh those drone views add so much to a video. That wooden walkway looked interesting. A beaver sighting is good too. Stunning ( but damaged) landscape. Those cracks in the ice is impressive and makes a lovely pattern in the black and dirty ice crust. Oh No- CLOSED!! Glad there was an option. All watered and fed- that was wonderful. Thanks for sharing. 👌🇳🇱🙋‍♀🥝

      So glad you enjoyed this - it was a fantastic place to visit and we definitely look forward to going back some day. Armed with our knowledge now I think we would plan a more lengthy stay there, in order to try to capture the bears in action. Its a cute little town for sure. Thanks so much for the comment and we have a lot more to come! Best wishes for your autumn! Bob and Dang

    Amazing video and production! Love hearing Dang's voice as well :) That road to the glacier looks amazing! Love the drone shots as you made it up to the mine and that road did look fun to navigate. One of your best videos and we know how hard these kinds of edits can get. Congrats and I hope this video pushes you over 2K subs!!!!

    The two of you are braver than us. There was not way that was a road, it looked like a bike trail 8). What an amazing adventure you guys are on, can't wait to see the entire series. Sorry that restaurant was closed after getting all hyped up for it, buy you did end up with some everclear shots... boy that brings me back to college days. Safe Travels- Kyle and Michelle

      Hahaha... I think I was just too tired after that drive to get out and scout it - but I really should have. It was a very surprising spot, and really quite nice. I'm sure we were very close to the bears there - fish creek was just a hundred or so yards away - but we didn't see any. It was a fun trip and we look forward to sitting around the fire with you guys this winter in AZ and trading stories of our travels. Thanks for the support! - Bob and Dang

    Oh my gosh, the Salmon Glacier was beautiful! You guys covered a lot of miles and experienced some fantastic places on your journey ... all while working ... kudos! We have considered this trip but have not found the time to actually do it. We can't do long travel days and don't like to travel multiple days in a row because our cats don't do well with that. We'd be looking for the nearest vet if we put them through a fast-paced, long trip. It's a bummer that you couldn't take video inside the Glacier Inn BUT the photos were awesome! I loved the sign behind the bar and totally agree with it: Exercise makes you look better naked. So does Alcohol. Your choice. 🤣 Super-fun video, can't wait for the next one!

    • @bobanddangsjourney
      @bobanddangsjourney Месяц назад

      Thanks so much Kim - it was a lot of fun! we wish the salmon would have be running - andt the bears out - but oh well that's nature for you. I could see us going back and spending a longer time, with hopes of catching those salmon/bears. Hyder is so much closer than the rest of Alaska, you don't even have to travel into the Yukon. It would still be a long drive for the cats unfortunately... Thanks again and safe travels to you guys - Next up - Jade City!

      Thanks Larry! yes if we had not been driving a very long time at that point I probably would have scoped it out. I am glad it worked out because it would have been really ugly backing up - especially by the time we got to the opening. Had there been a tree fallen there or something we would have been very unhappy! Thank for the comment we really appreciate it !
