Maaaan. I love those roasts on SUV from Chris.
@jon doe Ok, this is getting a bit boring now
@jon doe Except he does.
@jon doe I would love to see you talk about cars. Seems that you are quite experienced.
@jon doe oh look, suv lover, how do you not die of boredom?
@jon doe Imagine having the need to buy a SUV unless you live in some remote desolated place.
The Mazda 3 is just beautiful, if they put a more powerful high revving engine and better dampers and sell it as a sporty version it would be perfect
agreed
@@hubertkam7647 One who seeks to deceive will obviously put on a smile to do it with. Politicians do it all of the time. Microsoft making implant technology to buy and sell with, in its number is 666? This is no coincidence when we read Revelation 13:16-18
180 BHP not enough?
Jürgen Kühner no not really, 250bhp would be plenty
@@Destroyah32 forwhat, the mazdas always are all about handling, not just pure power.
The same applies for the MX-5.
160 or 180 are just enough. You don't want to drag race these cars, you want to drive them on twisty roads
By far the best part of the new Top Gear.
By far only watchable part in new top gear.
Ps it's good
It's actually like old tg (& by that I mean pre Clarkson & co.)
@jon doe Shit mate, that is the third hate comment in a row from you xD
@@Calabino it's nothing new. It's getting a little predictable. I'd personally like a new troll here. This one is stale af rn
Chris Harris single handedly revived Top Gear..
100% it's amazing when you look at the amount of likes vs dislikes on every top gear video. As soon as Chris Harris started doing videos for them itt started shifting to amazing level they're at now
You’re not wrong
He kept it on life support
Why aren't you masked?
@jon doe I think he is the only one that has passion for cars and does not try to behave like Clarkson or Hamond. He is being himself and that is great about him.
The Mazda 3 in red is absolutely stunning, it handles well, will go on forever and has a nice interior.
But everybody will buy a Focus or Golf for some reason.
Sadly true
@@dandup570 I just don't get it. While the Focus is great to drive and will be reliable, the Golf is almost as much of a white good as the Toyota Auris or Kia Ceed. It may be a little unfair to call the latter a white good. At least Kia seem to be trying.
@@jjoriordan2670 Mazda are attempting to move upmarket and in many countries, the 3 is actually priced higher than equivalent Golfs, despite the lack of the higher brand name status. And have you sat in the back of the new 3? It's unbelievably cramped if you're more than 5'10", almost unbearable. Conversely, the new Focus is incredibly spacious in the rear, the difference between them is really quite astounding. The Focus also drives a lot better in my opinion.
Where I live in Canada, Mazda wasn’t a popular choice because they were known to rust pretty bad. The new ones seem to have better rust proofing now
Because the Golf is cheaper and more practical?
Phew glad they have created their own style and not still copying the old top gear- like it!
Fish Boi top gear season 1-2 had this so its not new
It's not copying, if it's what they did themselves, It's just (r)evolution
It's just the way Chris Harris always was when he was reviewing on youtube.
Yes yes I understand top gear did it as well In the form but Chris Harris has obviously here using his own style etc which is great and not still defining the show by trying to mirror the old cast
That’s how Chris Evans went wrong. Trying so hard to keep it the same as old top gear, doing things like carrying on with Peugeot bashing when nowadays they’re in fact leagues ahead of what they were 10 years ago! That new 208 is easily in the top 3 of its class...
I was gonna say the Mazda 3 too. Mazda is the last hope for lovers of naturally aspirated engines like me
Shame Mazda wont drop that 2.0 sky active X engine in a 2 as it would fly.
@@pb5x5 lol it would be too heavy for the Mazda 3. Mazda should up their enginr game and develop a 1.0 turbo engine for the Mazda 2
Personally I don't miss an N/A engine. My 335i is getting on a bit now (2007) but it has a twin turbo and so little lag or sound from the turbo system that it feels like an N/A car. And in all honesty... As long as it feels like it, I'm happy with it.
@ E A agree. Which is why I'm still a Mazda customer.
@@jdmguy44 is this the Mazda's reliability? autoportal.hr/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/image_108030.jpg
Chris Harris can revive Top Gear on his own.
@jon doe This is getting better and better xD
@jon doe stop complaining. Enjoy what you have. Or be miserable forever, I don't care...
@jon doe when you do it better, then you can comment. If you don't like it don't watch it. Don't be pathetic and slag people off
Not by revering pedestrian cars like this he won’t.
I don’t think it’s the same, I miss the old one
He sums up cars perfectly
@jon doe I can go all day xD
The reason the Camry lasts forever, is because it's so dull, not even oxygen can bond with it.
Like pretty much any Toyota with that transmition.
One of these every month, please! Hilarity and information in a sub 3 minute package. Doesn't get any better than this.
208 is a success
Just wish they made a GTI. Would like to replace my older 208 GTI with a new one.
Their new styling has been on point. The 508 is the best looking saloon in recent memory.
NikesZ28 if they ever do make a new GTI it’ll probably be 3 cylinder. I’ll stick with my 2016 GTi By Peugeot Sport
@NikesZ28 The PSE (Peugeot Sport Engineered) will replace the GTI badge and it will be a hybrid just like the 508 PSE
208 is a car for girls. Too many bling-blings and no performance whatsoever
Car buying advice: "forget supercars"
He really know about car show viewers 😅
@jon doe Your really do not like him, do you? xD
Chris Harris is the only reason new top gear is getting better
@@Calabino you can find him on the another top gear-chris harris comments section video. Does the same thing.
@jon doe it's you again!
Peacceful Hooman i hate new top gear,it’s low gear now
Mazda has been on point with their styling for the last 40-odd years. :) What they're on point recently is the quality catching up with the styling.
No BS buyer's guide! 👍
@jon doe Lol how many hate comments is this now?
Chris Harris' Car Buying Advice videos are the highlight of my week. Never change, Chris!
@jon doe I am starting to think that you are just a bot xD

Buy an aftermarket one then?
Blake Walden where to buy? I haven’t seen one
The Mazda 3. Nice car if you are sitting in the front seats.
It is very rare to see an adult at the back seat these days in any car. In the Mazda 3 you will never see an adult at the back seats. Maybe one child and that's it. I think it is not relevant to talk about space for adults at the backseats in segment C as the car will eventually have one adult for once in it's lifetime.
@@UserStig r/copypasta
Boot space is completely inadequate also
But it looks nice and drives really well.
He's having a laugh but is actually giving good advice. 208, great little car. The Mazda 3, stunning! Small crossovers, unnecessary. Gotta love Chris Harris, it's a shame they gave him the role of the scapegoat on Top Gear.
Love my white Mazda 3 Skyactiv X. Great to the drive and that interior👍
Same, I got the White and Red interior. Looks stunning. I also agree that it dives really well. Been really good so far.
Watch at 2x speed for a true super fast, super fast car buying advice.
i allways pray before sleep beging lord to end this shity awfull compact crossover era for eeeeevvvvveeeeerrr Amen
@Ktube sorry, but lord has very disappointed with mazda and other japanese cars maybe other europeans would solve the lord depression
I have some good news for you then; as Gen Z and/or the generation after comes of age, we'll probably see the crossover boom end, and probably see a return to wagons/estates. Baby boomers didn't want to drive the same old wagon that their parents did, so they bought minivans, Millennials didn't want to drive the same old minivan that their parents did, so they bought crossovers, so Gen Z will find/find crossovers deeply uncool. So what will replace it? The wagon! Now hear me out, in the US, wagons have become desirable to my generation (younger millenials/older zoomers), since the only ones sold are really the E63 and the RS6. We grew up watching videos of these fast sleepers tearing up European roads, and we've longed for it. We only just now got the RS6 Avant in the states, and it's become rather desirable among young people. Therefore, I predict that as they come of age, wagons will be in again, and crossovers will be out.
@@realAlexChoi first i'm not in Millennials age .second before this crossovers nonsense rea begins hatchbacks was cool and suvs was really SUV not fuckin shitty crossover
my desirable era is real FWD, RWD sedans
@Ktube Better die young in a fast hatch than live forever in a shit crossover.
This could well easily be an hour long clip, and I'd still watch it.
P. S. That mazda 3 is gorgeous.
It's a great looking modern car for sure!
@jon doe my god, you have no life do you? 😂
@jon doe The only thing you can fault Chris Harris for is lack of machanical engineering knowledge, or it's mention in his videos. But what makes his videos credible are his driving skills, the fact that he has been in the "game" for a long time and isn't afraid of pointing finger at Ferrari for instance when their cars are shite.
Just purchased a Mazda 3 and now watching this. Glad I made the right choice!
Such a clean design
Agreed. The Mazda3 is great. Maybe the gearbox is a bit dull, idk, but it's an overall good hatch.
My mom had a new Mazda 3 in 16 and recently got a 20 Mazda 6. The new ones are a massive improvement on what was a good car.
And that's why I like Chris Harris, no nonsense approach and he even likes the cars I do. Been looking for a decent Mazda 3 in that beautiful red they do for months now (Funds reliant of course).
There’s a new Mazda engine for the 3 it’s actually fast and economical. Completely up Harris’s street as it’s a cross between diesel and petrol technology
I love that CH will diversify his portfolio, yet not waste too much time on it lol
Back to the fun stuff
I remember watching top gear as a kid when they reviewed these ordinary kinds of cars
What brand are your walking boots please Chris? Thanks, 208 is cool, hopefully a GTI will be launched in the future!
I've got the KIA Xceed a couple of months ago, and I couldn't be happier with it. Killer looks, lovely interior, doing a 0-60 in 7.5 seconds with its 200bhp turbocharged engine and a double-clutch gearbox - Chris Harris eat your heart out! 🤣🤣
I love these buying guides, please keep doing it more often.
I reckon the Peugeot is the best looker here.
Mazda 3 is like an Alfa , beauty !
Was it me or did anyone else just die laughing when Chris actually moo’d (I probably spelled it wrong) to describe how the Corolla sounds 😂😂
jon doe idk how but hey, more power to you brother!
Chris Harris is automotive journalism history in the making. Absolutely outstanding! “Funny cause it’s true” sort of mentality. Brilliant
208
Yay me to
He looks like he doesn't even wanna be there 🤣
D guy summed up 16 cars in under 5 minutes. It felt like a guy who really wanted to wrap things up to go to the lavatory
Would you?
@@richardcatchlove9115 Yeah sure. I'm one of regular, average Joe who would never be able to afford supercars. So with all the cars there, I'd be fine.
@@ke6319 Yeah, and he let the viewers know. So funny 😂
The point is him going through it quickly (because they're more "basic" cars)
I think for most people, a cvt will work perfectly. I have drive a Toyota Corolla hybrid and a Nissan micra with a cvt and was really pleasantly surprised with both.
I thought the same. Then I dailied a Subaru Outback for a year and it nearly drove me mad. Absolute rubbish.
For me is between Peugeot 208 and Mazda 3
These fast car buying advice videos are brilliant, more has to come. He is completely right on how he describes majority of these.
Peugeot has come a long way. That 208 is looking good
the Mazda 3's front end is absolute BANGIN
Goooo Mazdaaaa
i own a mazda 3... anyone copy... this is self proclaimed happiness....
finally someone of our taste and intel
Like the look of the 208 and Mazda 3, nice!
I'd take the 3 Series estate. I'm not so much a fan of BMWs (I drive an Alfa and I'd choose one over a Beemer any day) but I am a sucker for an estate... because I'm an old man now.
Chris is surely the best car journalist/presenter of all time full stop.
BMW 3 series Touring its a complete car, in my opinion.
It is but for me the newer generation doesn't feel as solid inside- such a shame. It feels so plastic this generation ;/
@@J0lker At least the G20 features a bit of metal-effect trim to lighten it up, which the F30 was lacking.
@@-TJ- Honestly I'd still prefer the F30's interior. Feels just solid lasting many years down the line :)
These mega fast reviews by Chris are just brilliant. Some manufacturers might not agree though. Keep these reviews coming.
Only thing i like in new Top Gear
Still talking about new top gear.
I wish the advice was based on sensible things like which had a timing chain, a strong transmission, good rust proofing, reliable electrical system etc. That matters more than styling.
Love my Mazda3
That new 3 Series is the best car in ages. Just bang on perfect.
Every year I am looking forward to this one moment when Chris gives advice about regular cars
I agree with Chris, except for the Lexus UX.. i think for its class of competitors its the best 🇬🇧
Agree. I think it's one of the nicest compact SUV's and you can't argue with the quality. I'd buy one.
mazda 3. i'm agree.
Epic short reviews Chris. Keep them coming.
You can't argue with the 3 as an object to look at.
New Mazdas are absolutely Beautiful up close and on the road!
yess, all new mazda 3 is on point
What a legend. The only journalist calling bs on all the crossovers and telling you to buy the hatchback instead of overpaying for ground clearance.
The Scala also has an umbrella and ice scraper. Cool car. Not boring. Classy
Toyota corola and Peugeot killed it as always!!
Chris is the man 😂
I'm not usually a fan of small crossovers - what's the point - but that Skoda Kamiq might buck the trend. It is just a very clever, practical little hatchback but with a higher driving position. Its the smallest car that is really practical for a family. And, it doesn't cost any more than a normal small hatchback. I think they'll sell a shitload.
Straight to the vital point & no bullshit. Love this man!
Toyota camry with 2.5L NA engin
203hp/250nm, 50mpg on average this car is fabulous, it has space, power, efficiency and comfort
I agree with him I have a new Mazda 3 and I love it.
Ranking style for me :
Opel Corsa / Peugeot 208
Nissan Juke II
Mazda 3
BMW 3 Touring
Totally correct! Mazda 3 wins for sure due to the quirkinesses and classy interior buuut a focus offers more fun handling, engines and room
I love this segment!
Great video as always Chris. I’d like to buy the Focus ST 2021. What do you think about this car please ?
I wish there were a North American version of this. So many of these cars we don’t even have access to over here.
I knew Harris would help make Top Gear good again
I like these buying advice style videos
Finally truthful car reviews 👍

YAAAAAS Mazda 3 for the Win!

- Nissan Juke
- Mazda 3
- BMW 3 series
@@fale892 It is chronological.
The washer fluid cap on the Skoda should be on all cars. Simple but excellent.
Peugeot 208!!!
The Mazda 3 is very good looking, but it lacks decent power in comparison with other brands.
Mazda 3 and BMW 3 series the only 2 cars I'd want from this entire lineup
As a neutral TV watcher I liked the old Top Gear more. But as a car fanatic there is nothing more entertaining and informative than watching/listening to Chris Harris drive/talk cars.
Chris Harris doesn’t mince words!!! Love it.
In the new top gear chris is the only one that actually knows stuff about cars
Just bought a 4yr year old X3 3.0d msport 48,000m just broken in really ....for 19k....hmmm love Chris but I think I'll stick with that:)

That aside, the X3 is a good crossover nonetheless especially with inline 6 diesel which is a great power train.
Decent Fellow why are you called that ? I've had one before it was brilliant , as long as you keep it serviced and don't drive like a plonker it'll be good for years
Good point, not bad advice

Mazda 3 is a looker 👌
The Skoda’s funky wiperfluid cap and umbrella are do cool and I mention that fun fact to my girlfriend every time I see a Skoda drive by, down to the “the only other car that has that is a Rolls Royce” line

@jon doe Ok, I change my mind, I got bored
@jon doe Why you here then babe?
Best VFM car under 20.000 is Fiat 500x 1.3 diesel with the new manual 6 speed gearbox. Low taxation, very economical, reliable and cheap as a Clio.
I too adore the the complete disdain for crossovers! 👍
However there is one benefit to soooo many people liking ugly high riding, slightly less practical or drivable hatchbacks; it means that older more interesting saloons and estates are cheaper and more available cause nobody wants them 😎
I daily drive a 2015 Mazda 6 and i can say its easily better than a camry or Hyundai sonata or pretty much any other affordable sedan at that price point... Mazda's killing it at the moment in terms of styling, driving experience and in general the amount of car u get for the money.
Wow! Didn't expect you to go for the Mazda3 next to the BMW 3 Touring! Nice!
(And secretly proud I'm driving that - although previous gen - gem ;) )
