I don't mind at all. I'm roughly 205 lbs. The kayak seems to have no problem handling the weight of me and all the gear. Seems very sturdy. According to Oru, the weight capacity for the Lake is 250 lbs.
I'm glad I could help. Enjoy your kayak. We've had ours for a year now. They are holding up well. Seat comfort seems to be the biggest issue. Just keep trying combinations of seat cushions until you find the right ones for your needs.
The float bags and seat cushions should work. The bag/backpack works for the Lake, Lake+, and Inlet. You'd have to check with Oru to see if they have a bag for the Inlet.

I contacted Oru about upgrading the entire floor panel to the Lake+ panel. They said it is compatible and available. I believe it was $175. That would give you the removable bottom cussion and adjustable seatback.

Nice lake! The float bags seem unnecessary though. I don't think they would displace enough water to make a difference because the cockpit is so large that the boat is still going to be really HEAVY if it swamps. We had one of our Inlets swamp while coming to shore and it weighed like 200+ lbs full of water even though there was very little water in bow. I guess if you are trying to bilge pump in the open water, it may help. I haven't seen any videos showing these devices in action. It might make a good video to compare a swamped boat with the bags and without.

Just wanted to show people what they're getting when the buy the official oru accessories. Another concern with the bags is leg room. The Lake is a short boat. A bag may take up too much valuable real estate. Especially being 6'3".
There’s a pretty good video of a guy testing the inlet with and without float bags. He attempts recovery using both methods and thinks the floats help. I’ll try to find it and tag it in this chat.

Is this the Lake or Lake+ kayak you have?
This is the Lake from the Kickstarter campaign. It has the removable seat bottom but the fixed seatback.
