Nicely laid out tour and well documented! Considering a cruise the end of the year to see the Canal and the Emerald seems to do it in style. I've been on her sister, the Ruby Princess as my first cruise and this is totally different from what I remember, but that was a long time ago, well before any refits. 🙂

Just a few cosmetic differences, most noticeably the buffet areas. Emerald had been updated with the bbq restaurant also. We would love to cruise again on either ship.

Thanks! We're glad you liked the video. We have three other ship tours without narration. HAL Nieuw Amsterdam, Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas, and Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady. Most of the footage is taken very early in the morning and/or in port to avoid the crowds and to not annoy anyone.
Both Sabatini's and Planks BBQ were only open for dinner. Planks alternated evenings with Steamers as they both occupied a portion of the buffet area. Hope this helps.

You are correct. Neither the Emerald nor the Ruby have indoor pools. A couple have covered seating, but the pools are all exposed.

We’re sailing on her out of Quebec City at the end of September.
That sounds amazing. We did a 7 day round-trip from New York up to Canada. Would love to cruise to Quebec City sometime. Have a great time!
