If anybody’s wondering what to use for weights go to home depot and buy two 60lb cement sacks (the cheapest ones) it’ll be like $4 each and you DONT have to mix the concrete just leave it inside the sacks and use that for weights so far that’s cheapest way I’ve come up to for weights since buying buckets would’ve been more expensive and I would still have to invest some time in filling them up
Hey Reedy, I just received my spring and it’s great! Unfortnately however I can’t find a way to remove my spring off of my galvanized pipe. The only thing I can do is keep turning the spring clockwise, and of course it just keeps going lower on the pipe. I can’t unscrew the spring counter clockwise as the entire pipe just comes off of the flange. Please let me know what I could do
Hey Reewdy, I just started my DIY for the spring I bought from ya. Loving it, Mate! It appears the link for the butterfly adjustable hose clamps are now gone. So gotta find alternatives. Btw , not sure if you're looking into it but I was wondering if possible to make an internal spring and those turn nob locks like the ones you find on adjusting the bench at the gym. Maybe could design and incorporate a turn knob for the height or even the spring action speed.
Thank you. You can also just use standard hose clamps but would need a small screwdriver to lock it in. I’m currently working on a commercial version that may work similar to what you’re saying. Instead of using steel for the mast I’m going to try polycarbonate material in black colour 👌
Try spraying some lubricant into the spot where that sound is coming from. It depends on how the spring is secured to the mast. Contact me on kewlus.com if you’re unable to find a solution and I can take a look at your setup
Man we should share it and help u sell the spring ur stuf f way cheaper than any other out there. ther so expensive Out there Love my easy to make and fast just as Gracias .. keep ur videos relly good man . We need more subscribers ..
Sorry man I gave up on the power twisters because I felt the spring was not as good as it could be, especially with the oscillation - the cobra really works heaps better with a spring that has spaces between the coils, so it recoils more reps and for longer
DIY is better because of the flange. Sticking the pipe into an umbrella base can make it wobble. I don’t recommend using an umbrella base for the PRO Spring
I tried to make a base with 60 lbs of concrete in a 5 gallon bucket. I don’t recommend it because it’s too wobbly and it affects the speed and rebound. I’ll comment when i’ve tried my next attempt
Yeah, a solid base is key to this. I found I need at least 40kg or 90 pounds of weight holding the base. However my favourite base at the moment is the one I made for the wall cobra using suction cups. It’s rock solid
@@Kewlus I’m either just gonna drill a flange into the concrete of my basement, or drill the flange into the a board and use one of those freestanding punching bags around it full that base with sand.
If you go with drilling into concrete you'll get a rock solid setup. Just make sure to use sleeve bolts. The bolts I used with a 1 inch flange are similar to these 5/16" x 1.5" (8mm x 40mm) Sleeve Anchors that you can buy on Amazon: amzn.to/3uzL5A0. I used a 2 foot long 1 inch pipe at the base and then a reducer to go to a short 3/4 inch pipe to mount the spring.
Pu leather no good just for everyday use my pu leather cobra already ripping on the outside my use 3 times and had 3 days so anybody want bag for cobra reflex bag got be leather last longer and no rips
Yeah you’ll see in the video that when I used PU leather my bag went to shreds. The one in that video is genuine leather. I’ll have those exact genuine leather speed balls in my store very soon.
Looking forward to when you sell the cobra bag as a whole. Will definitely be buying, hopefully soon. Love the suction cup idea for the base.
I just ordered mine last march 15 and it's coming this saturday via Amazon thank's boss now i can build my DiY cobra reflex this weekend.😁🤘🏼
Just ordered my spring! Can't wait to build me a cobra bag
Thank you 👍🤙🚀
Do you have it yet? If so how long was shipping?
@@gerardosantos6553 not yet but it has landed in my country on Friday so ill probably get today (monday). It has taken 3 weeks since I ordered it.
@@dr-lu5nq Oh ok thanks, I just ordered mine right now. Hopefully it doesn’t take as long lol. I live in the US
@@gerardosantos6553 I'd be surprised if it does. I'm from nz and Australia's basically neighbors lol and it took 3 weeks
I love this guy. Pretty intuitive too haha. Thanks man
This guy makes me miss my mates from Brisbane. G’day from the USA
G’day brother 🤙

Great vids kwelus and great knowledge on spring

Turn clockwise and pull it off at the same time. Turning it clockwise releases the grip slightly. Email me if you need further help on this

@@Kewlus Those std hose clamps from Bunnings are also an 8mm socket. Outside of OZ another name for them is Butterfly Clamps
Let me know when you have the bag ready I'm ordering it.
Ok I’ll let you know 👌👍
Yes please let me know as will, I’m ready to buy
Ok 👌
Just ordered mine. Everything is great except for it makes this loud squeaky noise everytime it goes back and fourth. Is there a fix?

I wonder if making a base similar to a makiwara base would work?
It would I think. The one inch flange bolted down to something does a great job, so you could bolt it to a large platform.

I was wondering if you could tell me if that Kewlus Pro spring will fit the Ringside Reflex Cobra bag stand?
Hey man quick question , what settings would you reccomend for the best balance ( speed & reach) Ive tried 3 rings on top & 2& a half on the bottom
It’s totally an individual thing and how you like to train. The setup you describe is about the same as what I like to have it on 👌
So is that an air or foam speed ball that you made?
Air on the left in black and red and foam on the right in black
Hey man on your video about creating a reflex bag using a power twister, is it better if i use a 50kg ones compared to the 30kg in the video?
Hey man when are you doing the 40kg power twister version like a Cobra Bag Power Twister V2/LVL 2 haha
Sorry man I gave up on the power twisters because I felt the spring was not as good as it could be, especially with the oscillation - the cobra really works heaps better with a spring that has spaces between the coils, so it recoils more reps and for longer
which one is more stable for pro spring umbrella concrete spring or diy base ?
he said he like is own one more
DIY is better because of the flange. Sticking the pipe into an umbrella base can make it wobble. I don’t recommend using an umbrella base for the PRO Spring
@@Kewlus what if the umbrella base has smaller hole and inside metal part that presses the bar in the hole at the top and bottom ?
Yes if you can make a tight fit I think it would work. You’d still need a couple of sand bags for extra weight I think
@@Kewlus yes ofcourse but the base is 20kg and if i put another 20-30kg on top and the base is wide 50cm is that enough
what is the speed ball size ?
Small size
@@Kewlus do you have anything more precise
The one I have is 17cm diameter and 25cm high
@@Kewlus you mean cm ?
@@Kewlus thank you

@@Kewlus if i driled it into the plywood board would a 3/4 inch flange (ofc still with bolts) be okay?
Yes it should work, but I'd recommend using 16mm or thicker MDF or shipboard rather than plywood as plywood flexes a little more than MDF.
My KS9 spring is kinda loud and squeeking. Any tips for that?
Try wrapping one or two turns of duct tape around the mast and then mount the spring
Anybody have an alternative base idea? Besides mdf boards?
3/4" plywood is what I used.
@@Jskd06 how's the plywood holding up? You have a 2ft square?
How to thread steel pipe please?? Also what size the metal pipe and the 2foor pvc pipe?? Thanks brother
The standard galvanised pipes that are used for plumbing come standard with thread on both ends.

What size the spring you’re using? 12”? How about the inside so it can fit on 3/4-1.05 pipe? Thank you so much for your help brother
