Just bought your spring after looking at reflex bags for years and seeing them all mostly fall apart even at $300+. You have an amazing idea here man I hope it takes off like crazy cuz your build is solid and not a ripoff, you're a good guy for doing this THANK YOU!
I've always been Innovative myself---haven't always had the funds to afford Pro' equipment, so I made my OWN! I've watched several of these DYI videos; This is one of the better ones.
Your too good at making these now. Lol. Even ur comfort level is seemingly much higher as is the production rate. Awesome 👌 I'm gonna make this new one

After converting each component into US to AUD (australian dollars) I decided it wasn't going to be cheap. Luckily one full set popped up here in Australia for sale for 185 including postage and i snapped it up. So excited, can't wait for it to arrive, much cheaper than the other brand which are selling for over 400 AUD. Sweet.
Yep you got yourself a sweet deal - that's a demo set which includes the set of Stabilisers, which have not even been released! With the stabilisers, I recommend placing cardboard at the bottom of each sand bag before filling up the bags - that'll give you a more rigid base. I'll post it off to you on Tuesday. Cheers.
This is a great cobra bag from what I can see. I want to make my own cobra bag just like this, can you please tell me how you bolted the flange into the mdf board? Did you use an electric drill or tool of some sort. Thanks in advance.
Yes I used the flange to mark the first hole, then drilled it with an electric drill. Then I bolted the flange using that hole and drilled out the other holes using the flange as the guide (drilling directly through the flange holes). After drilling each hole I would put a bolt through and tighten. Drilling and bolting one at a time is the best way to do this. I used 5/16 or M8 bolts
How did you get the 3/4" pipe to slide into the 1" pipe? isn't there a welded seam inside that gets in the way? I went to home depot today and tried to do it but all the pipes had a welded seam inside of them.
I got the pipes from Bunnings (hardware chain of stores in Australia) and they fit perfectly. I guess it might not work in every country as they are manufactured to different standards. Is there any way you could file away the welded seam inside?
@@Kewlus It would be difficult to grind inside of the pipe the whole length thru.... I think I could probably grind a small channel on the outside of the 3/4 pipe so that the weld fits into it.
Yeah what a bummer. Worst case scenario you might need to join small sections of pipe to increase or decrease height, but I’d recommend using the one inch pipe and flange for the bottom and a reducer to go to a small section of 3/4 inch pipe. I’ll show it in my height adjustment video that’s coming soon. Thank you for letting me know 👌👍
Hi, I really like your videos, I learned a lot from watching... I made my homemade cobra bag... I just couldn't find the right spring, I tried to make a purchase on the website but it doesn't deliver here in Brazil. "Cry", could you send me the spring specifications so I can build one... please... hehehe
Any suggestions on stabilizing the pipe into the flange without using threadlocker or adhesive on the threads? I’m getting quite a bit of wiggle there.
It’s more of the shaking of the pipe that goes into the flange, which eventually causes the pipe to get loose on the flange. I have to screw it back in tight after about thirty minutes of punching. I actually see you address this in one of your spar bar videos where you stabilize the pipe with PVC support at the base. I don’t have as wide of a base, so just trying to come up with a solution on my 2’ circular base.
In my case the pipe actually gets tighter in the flange. The one I installed at the local boxing gym doesn’t get loose either, so I really don’t know why yours gets loose
Any idea on when the new components like the arms are coming out? I really am looking to buy a cobra bag but the thought of building one interests me. I'm gonna buy the Kewlus Pro Spring but not sure if I should buy components from other places or wait for yours to come out. When do you reckon all your other products and components come out?
The Kewlus Cobra Head, which is genuine leather covered foam speed ball on a composite arm is coming later this month. Height adjustable stand is coming the following month. 🤞
@@Kewlus Will the speed ball have the shape of an actual one or the diy shape ones seen in your videos? And lastly if I were to buy all 3 components (spring, arm, stamd) all I would need is a base correct? Love the videos btw, I subscribed
Thank you. Yes the speed ball will look and feel like a real leather speed ball. The stand will come with a flange that you could bolt to concrete. There will also be a couple of optional bases, including a 4-suction cup base for a smooth surface and a sand filled base for carpet.
@@Kewlus ahh perfect. I was thinking as well to just get the ball with arm, spring, and leg and build my own suction stand. All in all with the products including the Bag with Arm, Spring (50$), Leg, and Base how much will it cost in total?
Great video, thank you for the tutorial. Do you think it would be possible to have this build combined with a swivel arm? Or will the spring make the swivel unstable? It would be nice to have an all-in-one slip/punch build.
is there any way to mount the spring to the pole without the hose clamps? I really liked the idea of the last spring being screw on but it is sold out.
Does the Keewlus spring (the regular one) get more flexible over time? Cuz mine is very very stiff. It's like a complete different one than the videos. Any help or tips?
I also cannot find the butterfly clamps, is this build possible without the clamps, online and hardware stores just can't seem to find the right size, just got the spring but can't find clamps anywhere, and ones I can find just do not seem to be the right size.
