This is almost the recorded show released on the LP of the same year, should anyone want to own it, and other songs, re-released on CD on recent years, simply called "Hinge and Bracket". The Listener should then be able to visualise the imagined scenes for himself, after viewing this.
There are some days when I have a need, deep down inside, to wallow in utter joy and take a trip down memory lane with those wonderful 'ladies'. Such joy! Their rendition of Land of Hope and Glory always brings me such a top feeling. So, that's me had my fix now and I feel ontop of the world. Gosh, they simply don't make them like that any more.
Very moving. George is an excellent pianist. Back in the 1970s I played a record of H&B to my piano teacher and he was stunned at George / Evadne's skill.
@@walverden1 thanks. Everyone in the audience is participating. See the smiles. And Evadne and Hilda are splendid musicians and singers. Today all we get is dross.
A sing along of Land of Hope and Glory would have been totally appropriate in a British music hall of the early 20th century. They were masters of the world (Leastways in their own eyes) with an empire on which the sun never set.

Or maybe 12 years old.
@@stevefowler3398 No, a 42 year old Brit who has been through several G&S societies.
It'd be so so loud, because it'd be set during the Victorian era, despite the then modern stars.
I.remember it well
