Easy there, Phantom of the Opera is a musical, not an opera. Opera is significantly more difficult and also, sort of the charm is in the fact that there are no mics in opera, but this was a pretty good performance nonetheless

I've watched probably a total of three seasons of American Idol... not usually into these singing competitions. This was one of the seasons that I watched and have to say David Cook's performance of this song was so good that I actually voted. He's the only person I've ever voted for on any of these shows and I was so glad when he won! He is incredibly talented.

To all comparing David to all those technically trained singers please understand he has had no professional voice training just his raw talent pretty good cover I think and that "be" note is awesome.
