- I wanted to share my experience after almost 20,000 miles driven on the worst tire I have bought. I also would not recommend dealing with tire rack, go to discount tire. Lastly, buy K02, even if they are a little out of budget. You will be much happier!

I have the same General tires on my truck, 3 years and 40K on them. I rotate them every 5K. I’ve have great experience with them.
I might have just had a bad batch. Will have to try them again one day!
I’ve got these grabbers on my 23 tremor and love them. 9k miles thus far. Just did a 5k trip and ran 75-85 the whole way. No issues at all.
The general grabber ATX is especially sensitive to cupping and uneven wear if they are not rotated every 5,000miles. you literally can not go a mile over 5,000 without rotations. this must be done correctly with moving fronts to the back and crossing them and moving rears to the front straight forward. If you do not follow this the tires will fail. its fact. Just how these grabbers are. if you do it correctly you will get 40k miles out of them no issues at all.
I’ve got General AT’s on my JGC and they are great.
I have good luck with general to. Sucks they went bad . Nice truck .
looks awesome. Could you do a full walkaround of the truck with the ko2s?
Yes, I will shoot any update video shortly.
What’s the offset on the wheels? Looks good, still liking the bfg’s? Did you take a mileage hit going to the ko2’s? They are about 15 lbs heavier each
I have general ATx on h2 hummer they are perfect .
I'd advise checking load rating. Those Generals you have are an SL load rated tire for small trucks/SUVs that aren't hauling much weight. Those KO2s you have there are E rated for much heavier loads.
Didn’t think of that, could be a huge factor into why they aren’t performing the way I expected. Sold the truck but will keep it in mind moving forward!
I bought new ATX tires in 275/55r20 a few months ago due to having ran the same tire for three years on my old truck. I’ve got one tire that’s horrible to balance and vibrates and the other three all have high spots according to the road force balance report from Discount Tire. They were going to give me partial credit towards another set of Generals but I don’t know if I want to risk it again. Of course the new set may be fine. Still undecided and confused having had zero issues with my previous set. Thanks for posting this, I thought I just had a random bad batch of tires.
This is the EXACT path I went down. I believe I used their credit towards the K02….which sucks because I had to spend even more money. I don’t want to say a bunch of negatives on the generals but I’ve just had better luck with the BFG tires overall. One day I’ll try the general again.
@@spencersteele7 I wasn’t given the option to use the credit for anything other than more Generals. I ended up buying KO2’s and still have the ATXs on my factory rims. Last time they balanced it they got it pretty good and I’m not giving them away. Especially after buying a whole new set two months after the first set haha. I love the KO2’s though, enjoy them every time I drive the truck.
Great video!! Do you have any rubbing on your stock suspension? I have a 2024 SR5 on stock suspension. Not wanting to add a lift kit, just the tallest tire that won’t rub. Thanks man!
Nope, no rubbing and no issues. Had a friend fit one size larger without issues on his Tundra, was technically a 34" tire. I have other videos on my channel about the wheels and tires at different mileage intervals if you want to check them out.
BFG K02s are the best dam tire ever made.
There are great tires out there..
But man the K02 is king.
The quality, the look, the wear, the lack or woohwooh sound on the road. I have the 275/70/18s on my 12" crewmax Tundra. Only tire I trust my 3rd set for 3 different vehicles never been happier. Definitely recommend BFGoodrich to anyone on the wall..
Lack of tire rotation and balance. That’s what happen to my tire also. They called cupping. If you don’t rotate and balance this Bfgoodrich. It’s gonna be same thing. Good luck!! Looks good on Tundra
One would think, but I actually did consistent maintenance and upkeep on both the truck and the tires. Discount tire confirmed it was a bad batch and was able to warranty the tires. This happens to every tire manufacturer I am sure. One day I will have to try another set!
@@spencersteele7 good to know!! The problem it’s hard to deal with tire warranties they need a lot of proof you do your maintenance
would you describe your issue as a bouncy vibration going down the highway? I have the exact same tire and size on my truck and I’ve noticed now it vibrates like crazy at higher speeds. My tires are brand new too.
Exactly! Get a road force balance done at a tire shop and it will let you know if any of the tires might be done.
What is the wheel offset?
Have these tires on my new Tremor, Hoping they do better than yours, sorry. I have ran nothing on but KO2's on my 2009 f150 and usually get about 80k miles per set on that truck (super crew fx4). Won't buy any other tire besides KO2 long as they make them!
tried to pause the video few time to see the ko2 size but cant see nothing. what’s size are those kO2. thanks.
They were 275/70R18
What size is on your truck lol 😂???
Honestly, that could happen to any tire
Whats your tires pressure? I have the same set up but I’m noob to overlanding world. Please help me out
Just whatever factory spec was. Discount set the pressure. Can drop to get better traction but otherwise just run them normal to get better fuel economy. I’d go check for you, but have since sold the truck. Thanks!
@@spencersteele7 I had a taco trd off road with Black Rhino keslo equipped with BF Goodrich ko2 LT265/70/R18
What size are those 285/65/18 ? I am planning to get those on my truck tundra 2023
These were 275/70R18
Any rub? Looking at Mickey Thompson Baja boss 275/65/18 on my stock limited
Rock ejector is a wear bar nowadays
What is the MPG for this setup?
17 ish
Is that stock ride height?
Yes, it is stock ride height and stock suspension.
Goodyear ultra terrain
I hate to tell you but then BF g's will do the same thing before you get 30K. That happened to mine
Did the KO2s affect the ride quality?
I will make an update, but yes they did. I do not have vibrations at highway speeds anymore.
What offset wheel?
Put them on the back and send em!
This is the first negative review I’ve seen. Maybe you got some lemons :/
Definitely could’ve been a bad batch. Would love to try another set one day and make sure I have warranty, that way I can stay on top of things and have a smoother ride.
