Glad they put electric defrost in the windshield. Should be standard in 2018

Truck looks and sounds amazing, I’ve drove a VNL 780 and enjoyed it quite a bit. Can’t wait to get my hands on the new VNL 860

Volvo is a good truck the engine is good high hill or low but the drawer came off after two months and master switch went bad after two years and engine oil leaks. Air leak on transmission after 6 months then repair it cost me $800 at dealer then it leak again. I bought my truck brand new 2016

Ok so compare this to say the new PACCAR products with the 12 speed transmission, are these a difference maker that will compete with the Cascadia and threaten the T680/579?

    More quieter than a T680?

Other than the limited interior colors. I always thought Volvo made a decent truck. My experience in one has been awhile. A brand new 1999 Vn 610. I was absolutely crazy about that truck.

Anyone know what the 740 weighs? I can’t even get weights on the Volvo website. Some big secret I guess.

Volvo has such limited interior colors. Back to that dreaded grey!! Uhh!! Bland and boring for a luxury truck interior. ALL MANUFACTURERS, auto and truck. PLEASE OFFER MORE THAN JUST GREY INTERIORS!! That is tired!!

Only good thing about volvos is ride, I drove a '16 last year and I went to the shop every month for a different electronic problem, I ended up walking away, good luck finding parts.

21st century baby! Everything is computer controlled. Sensor for this, sensor for that. Truck mechanics are no more. Truck technicians now. You're driving a computer, not a truck.....Intel inside ;)

What I dislike is the take off I pull a tanker for Oakley transport lake wales FL from a dead stop seems like the load move before the truck and it wonders all over the lane this is a 2021 VNL 740

Yossy Y common rail system regulates and fixes that issue on the new D13s. Google common rail for it

I know it's hard for Americans to admit that Europeans are producing better trucks even in the US, good luck driving KW or Peterbilt on European roads and even anywhere but North America, they wouldn't last a month

Interesting.. I've actually run a lot of miles in a lot of different trucks in the US and Canada. The Volvo was by far the most comfortable and roomy but was usually in the shop. Brand new trucks falling apart. I eventually asked to be left in my old rough riding manual transmission International because it rarely let me down.
