    I am glad to see you are working with them. I got to beta test some of their rails when they were starting out. They make some very nice parts.

    Salmon river is incredible. His slab ti brakes are simply the best brakes I’ve ever tried.

    Awesome rifle... absolutely love the formula to calculate the brake timing very cool how the calculator was on the screen.

    I’m glad it wasn’t just me who thought 6.5 PRC was slightly abusive. Excellent job, I like the SRS gear.

    I'm really hoping for a video discussing the brakes performance. I'm planning on putting the TiI PRO 3 ST on my 9.5 lb 300 PRC.

      These are the best muzzle brakes available! The video is of my 11.5# 30 Nosler pushing a 245 Berger at 2900fps.

    This rifle is amazing. I’m for sure going to use it as inspiration for a custom build of my own in the future!

    I like the machining and smaller decisions being called out. I suspect that any fellow shooter, engineer, machinist, would as well. Thanks.

    Great video on the formula and timing the break, Do one video on making your own ARCA rail, need to make some for all the rifles I have, fire up my mill and lathe. I think the rails are beveled at 45 deg. 👍👍👍👍

    Great rifle and build. I am just looking at an ARCA rail set up for my 2020 Waypoint in 6.5 PRC. It has Mloc connections on the bottom of the for end. Are they suitable for a ARCA rail for tripod use?

      The TiPro's can be custom ordered through Unknown Munitions pre-tapered to your specs. I did this and timed it myself on a flat surface with sandpaper. Little by little and it turned out perfect!

    Would be neat to see that rail system you have with a meter in between the bench and the gun that can measure recoil. Would be neat to see kick of different rounds, how much the break helps or when you switch between guns. Maybe you can pitch that at some of the vendors for home users too since it would be good to see if accessories actually help or hurt rather than placebo.

    Good evening.
    Do you need to dial your barrel at the left end of the spindle with some kind of barrel extension and spider device with the True Bore Alignment System if you have a longer spindle (PM1660TL : 24" vs PM1440GT : 15 1/2") ? Thanks.

    So basically this muzzle brake is not self time since you have to do some trimming?

  • @rhino3334

    Are you still going to do the head to head loadmaster range that you spoke about 12 months ago and then did an update video. But still waiting on the comparison?

  • @m118lr1

    I got a little confused with the math, but it worked out.

    • @Ultimatereloader
      @Ultimatereloader  3 года назад

      Here's how that played out - we start by calculating what % of a full turn needs to be made (340/360) - then multiply by the screw pitch (which equates to a full turn) - so it ended up being 94% of a full turn needed and 0.042" for a full turn (1/24). So 0.042 X 0.94 = 0.039" to hypothetically clock to perfect position. But with crush accounted for, we only cut it about 0.036" total.

    Dude, who has a $25,000.00 CNC machine and a $40,000.00 engine lathe?
    What do you do for a living?
    I was a machinist in my previous life and have run both machines.
    I even programmed some Mazak multi-turret machines for aircraft parts and worked in quality control for 20 years!

    Nice video. Who makes the yellow handled wrenches please?

  • @kevindawson1750
    @kevindawson1750 3 года назад

    Dumb question maybe - why not take the whole length of the brake down to 816? Wouldn’t that look better than having a taper between the two diameters?

    • @Ultimatereloader
      @Ultimatereloader  3 года назад

      I love this look, and if you did that (turn the whole thing down), you'd make the wrench flats too narrow to work properly :)

    • @jessewerner4067

      It hurts performance! You're removing surface area for the gases to push against. Bad idea

    Nice to see custom rifles. For a change, no hawking of sponsored main parts. How about "semi custom" ....take a everyman rifle or surplus....quick/cheap custom. ie: 30 year old m70, 90+yr old m1917/r30, fn mauser. Whatever pick three, make it black rifles if you want.You get the idea. Several rifles...... 1 simple/cheap 2 some aftermarket but reasonable $ 3 unlimited.....but the unlimited is the worst shape pos of the three.
    Maybe raffle off the rifles....proceeds to local habitat group, gun rights group, whatever. Don't know if RUclips let's you do that.
