I'm not aware of any other video game (or even movie??) that really explored an American coastal atmosphere like this, pulling out the eerie undertones of that damp, salty landscape and culture. It feels so unique.
Crazy how good and atmospheric it is. The entire expansion is well above vanilla F4 experience. "Our island" is the best part. Very moody, atmospheric, chilled, distant, mysterious, grim, melancholic... All these things combined.
Far Harbour remade with a silent protagonist and full on NV style dialogue and perks would be god tier. The design, atmosphere and OST are too great to waste on Fallout 4. I end up only playing 4 for Far Harbour usually.

Yes, friend. You are Totally right. DiMA is not a good guy. I decided to let him live, but he is dangerous. When I finish Far Harbor again in the future, DiMA will pay. Hahaha :)
What a great music! The begining of An island of fog always gives me some New Vegas vibe! The motive seems similar and that makes double feel if nostalgia!

The rich and spoiled don't know what it's like to be tough like the rest of us. Keep going and only look back to avoid the same mistakes that were laid before you. Have a good one.
I remember first going to far harbor ig, holy shit it had some of the best ambience with fog and everything like that. It had that "fallout feel" cause I didn't watch any videos on what was lurking in there so had no idea what mutants were gonna be there!
Peace is Possible reminds me of waking up to an early sunrise over a sprawling forest, curled in the embrace of your lover, gazing out over the morning mist
I'm replaying Fallout 4 and I'm just waiting to get to a point in the Commonwealth where I can justify to myself going to Far Harbor. Plus, is it just me or does the beginning of "Island of Fog" reminds y'all of New Vegas as well?
So much memory and nostalgia i can remember just listening the soundtrack alone. I lost time focusing building the settlements. Using countless of building Mods, let alone the adults mods 🤣🤣 Despite so many players hate the storyline, for me Fallout 4 is the most visual pleasing, combine with the top notch soundtracks.

Yes top 5 games and fallout 4 is in it
Far Harbor is actually the best thing they added to Fallout 4

This DLC was better than the entire main story.
Absolutely true. This one felt like effort was put forth.

And I get upset when the music changes to the action themed music when fighting ghouls, mutants, trappers etc.
Every time I play this DLC and hear "Our Island", I always get extreme goosebumps and hum along.
Every time.
every time...
Our island is amazing because the first notes mimic a song from the main game, then it drifts into a darker tone, much like this dlc.
