It's an interesting version. There's much to enjoy here. It's hard to mess up this amazing masterpiece. I concerned that the tempi are so slow that there's a feeling that Celibidache is trying to spell out every nuance. Conductors like Rattle are able to reveal every detail without changing the pace.

You are talking about music as if it is an object, like you supposed to extract pleasures from versions etc.. music is spontaneous experience... it cannot be compared to anything outside itself unless you are not listening. This experience can barely be achieved with a record.
