We have arrived in South Korea - this is our first time here in Seoul and we are so excited to be here!
Wow we have packed in so much - I didn't know you could do this much in one city. First up - you know how much we love theme parks so we have headed to Seoul's own version of Disney - Lotte World Theme park.
After going on so many rollercoasters we worked up quite the appetite, heading to the michelin star restaurant in Lotte World tower (the 5th tallest tower in the world) to eat at Bicena and try our first Koraen dish.
Beauty treatments are massive in Korea, so no better place than heading to Jenny's House to get a hair and face treatment done. Wow was our skin clear after our visit.
To end our first day we wanted to compare the Michelin rated restaurant to the street food scene - so we headed to the Kwang Hang Night market.
In the morning we headed to Seouls only UNESCO palace -
Changdeokgung Palace to wear the traditional Korean hanbok dresses and enjoy the culture of this 16th century palace.
As we were walking the streets we went past the Gwanghwamun gate to watch the changing of gaurd before making our way to Bukchon Hanok Village, a 100 year old village with locals still living in it today.
To end our incredible 2 days here we went to San Chon restaurant to have a traditional Buddhist Dinner.
Where we stayed: The Westin Chosun Hotel Seoul fave.co/2HOh36q

Korea is pretty underrated travel destination...by Western tourists at least. It has a lot of things to see and do.

anonymous User there is a reason why i specified western tourists...because majority of tourists in ROK are Chinese, Japanese or from South-east Asia. Westerners usually look at Japan or at China...or well, South-east Asia and don't really have visiting South Korea on their bucket list or even think about it much. I know so many travellers who have been like everywhere but never stepped into ROK.

Korean here, definitely agree. Westerners tend to gravitate towards Japan, China, or Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia and Thailand. i know some people are afraid because of Seoul's proximity to North Korea, but i've lived in Seoul almost my whole life and it has never been an issue for the millions of people who live here lol. there's so much to do here!

Seoul is a great place! I've been there a few times and think it's amazing. It was funny to see the Kwangjang Market; I filmed the same ladies for my vlog a few years ago.
Have one question though. How do you make sure to take turns and not talk over each other when vlogging together? My husband and I struggle with that for our channel.

Thx for introducing Seoul to the world.😊
    just for further info,
9:28 you describe “soju” as a rice wine, but actually the right one you’ve tried is “Makgeolli”.
While Soju is a clear, colorless distilled liquor, Makgeolli is a traditional Korean alcoholic beverage made from grains such as sweet rice, regular rice, barley and wheat, and malt.
    They are different☺️
I hope you, lovely and gorgeous couple would taste “Makgeolli/Korean rice wine” next time!

Right now, squid game.Korea's current popularity, including BTS, seems to be at its peak. There are many countries where Korea's unique culture has flourished economically since World War II, but I don't think there is a country like Korea that has developed culture, economy, and politics (in turn).I'm a beginner at CNN who makes videos introducing Korean stories that foreigners envy. When will I be able to make this much? It's hard to be on the news...I learned a lot.Squid game drama story is also good.Seoul, Korea, differs from other countries in that it mingles with modern times and traditions.

Some of the best food in Korea is found in the markets and the university areas like Ewha and Anam. The rice cakes in the red sauce is called tteobeokki. If you are still in Korea I'd recommend you try street food in the stalls around the shopping areas, always good stuff and many options to try.

All the dishes of little dishes veggies and starters are called “Banchan” and its common when served a Korean meal to have many come out as sides. They are often fermented and pickled veggies, some with chili powder spices. The story alleges, the more side dishes come out from a chef, the better the cook or restaurant they are and the more welcoming they are -and more formal with more banchan (side dishes). They are served in small portions so they can be finished with the meal, but if someone wants more of one, they can usually request to get more, especially at Korean BBQ places. How nice that you met up with Danegar and Stacey also again.
